$21.99 a person and you pay at the end. Service is minimal cause it's an all you can eat place. For the price and variety of Indian food selection, I have no complaints. I'd come here again if I was in the area.

Absolutely incredible! I'm usually a wimp with spice (stick to a 3/10 most places), but Desi Chowrastha nailed the balance -- full of flavor without knocking me over. We started with the Guntur Kodi Chicken Vepudu and wow... the bowl was literally wiped clean. Sweet, salty, lightly fried, and coated in an amazing sauce -- instantly addictive. The garlic naan was hot, full of fresh garlic and butter, perfect for scooping up sauces. For mains, the Navratan Korma was a hidden gem -- every bite had little surprises of veggies, nuts, and creamy goodness. The Paneer Tikka Masala was also fantastic, rich and perfectly spiced with tender paneer. Everything hit the spot. Can't wait to come back and try more!

After watching a show at Mandalay Bay, we walked around for 30 minutes and nothing inside the casino really caught our eyes. Looking on google and Desi Chowrastha sounds like a much better choice, and so glad we made the walk across the street. Once inside we can tell this place is legit and authentic by the customer base. The only con was the very bright fluorescent lights. The two of us shared the chicken 65 dosa, chicken tikka masala, a garlic naan and a lime soda. We don't normally eat spicy food, but it was full of flavor! The portion was just right and all of sudden there were just empty plates in front of us. Next Vegas trip, I'm definitely trying the lunch buffet menu. With so many locations, I hope they will open a branch in LA soon!

Desi Chowrastha is a South Indian restaurant chain across the U.S. and this location is in Las Vegas near Mandalay Bay. There's plenty of parking at the location's complex. The service is good and we got our food very quickly. We ordered the chicken biryani, the chicken 65 dosa, and the onion dosa. The chicken biryani was flavorful, authentic, and had a good ratio of rice to chicken (less bones). The chicken 65 dosa fell apart a little bit, but the flavor was good - not too spicy. The onion dosa was also crispy and came with a flavorful sambar and chutney. The ambiance inside was clean and comfortable, very family friendly. The prices were also good for the portions. I'd definitely recommend coming here if you're craving good Indian food!

Irrespective of how good the food is, if you make the customer feel like they were scammed they are never going to come back to you. We went for the buffet on a Saturday afternoon, we were 7 of us, 3 kids and 4 adults. It was a buffet and no one served us nothing on the table then why on earth you have to charge 18% gratuity? It makes absolutely no sense. I have attached the screenshot of my bill and check it for yourself. I asked the person who was generating our bill, he said that there is nothing he can do about it, as soon as he enters 7 as the count, it adds gratuity. I understand that if it is Al carte for dinner then you add that kind of gratuity, but for buffet too? So if we just split and sat as two different groups you wouldn't have charged us? This is ridiculous and you guys think it will go unnoticed? The guys working there were really working hard, the food quality and taste were good, but this kind of scamming will spoil all the other good reputations. I tried to deal with this properly by trying to reach someone from their contacts on their website but there is no good way to communicate to them.

So far this place is pretty close to authentic. My friends from India and said it's amazing ! All the food was delicious! come to eat here!

We went here for dinner on our very first night in Vegas. Food was good. The paneer tikka masala that we tried on another day was better than the paneer butter masala. My husband enjoyed the mutton curry.

possibly Las Vegas' most authentic Indian spot This is a restaurant chain with locations in Hyderabad, India and cities across the US with high Indian populations. It can take some extra effort to understand and enjoy this place but the food is amazing. Ambience: -It reminds me of a cafeteria. very brightly-lit, you serve yourself water from a large jar on the table, there is table service but it doesn't feel like a typical sit-down restaurant -mural art on the walls -part of the time we were there, there was no music, but then they turned on kinda loud music later in the night Menu: -The menu doesn't have any explanations of the food. most stuff just has the Indian or Hindi name. It's worth it to look up what everything is in advance and look at photos of it, so you know what sounds interesting. We tried: tandoori chicken - it sizzles a lot when they bring it out, it's hot. it was good. they cook it in an actual tandoor (traditional oven thing) dhaba chicken curry -- this is the kind of chicken curry you would get on roadside cafes in North India, for like truck drivers, road trips. ("Dhaba Style Chicken Curry is a simple recipe served on almost all the dhabas on North Indian highways.... Dhabas are roadside eateries, very common on the highways across north India. It is a place for travelers to stop, have a meal, and relax."--Whisk Affair). It was really nicely spiced. We asked for it to be 10/10 spicy and it felt fine to me (I cook a lot of Indian food at home) but my dad felt like it was slightly too spicy. I think it had some giant, really succulent curry leaves in it that were just beyond any curry leaves I've been able to purchase (I have gotten mine from amazon but they are small and dry). It comes in like a vase thing but the amount of food is great. basmati rice - you have to buy rice on the side, the non-rice-involved dishes don't come with rice, but we got a huge portion of rice by placing one order of rice Hyderabadi chicken dum biryani - my first time trying dum biryani. you could tell it had been cooked very delicately, it was moist, the chicken was soft, the aromatic spices were infused through the rice. it's kind of a delicate rice dish. really magical spices. I don't like eating THAT much rice so I'm not sure I'll get it again but it was nice to try. When we go back, I'm interested in trying more of the "gravy"/curry dishes like Navratran korma, Kadai vegetable curry, Nizami handi vegetables (Hyderabadi dish), Chowrastha special chicken curry, Andhra curry (from Andhra Pradesh), chicken vindaloo. Pros: -This place will actually make food spicy if you want it. I cook very spicy at home and have never been able to get anywhere in Vegas to make food at the level o spice I like until this place. They understood the assignment. -There are so many Indian dishes you can't get anywhere else in Vegas. I cook from Indian recipe blogs, and these are dishes that people in India cook. If you want to branch out from the dishes that are often offered for the American palate (butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, etc.), this is a good place to try new things. -They seem to have staff who know what they are doing. They refer to yogurt as "curd" and such, they have a tandoor, they have high-quality curry leaves. I think they are cooking the Indian food properly, as far as possible for a large-scale restaurant, and not in some weird fusion or American way (I saw some videos of Red Fort on tiktok and ... they were trying to cook Indian food as though it was Chinese stir-fry, using all these Chinese techniques. it was hilarious but disconcerting.) -You can explore Hyderabadi food in particular -- there are many Hyderabadi specialties on the menu. -The prices are pretty reasonable for Vegas. -If you have dietary restrictions, the communication can be a little hard, but I got them to substitute coconut milk for milk/yogurt since I can't have dairy. A lot of the dishes are marinated with yogurt (the biryanis, for example) and can't be dairy-free. Probably more than half the dishes have dairy in them traditionally. I think most can be reasonably gluten-free, not sure if it's celiac level but there isn't much gluten aside from the fried items and Chinese/soy sauce items. Cons: -It's not at all your typical nice sit-down American Indian restaurant. It's more like a cafeteria chain based in India. If you can see it like that and want that experience, you should enjoy it. -no ice in the water IIRC, a bit chaotic, the lights are extremely bright, they add 18% tip automatically to parties 4+ (but didn't even allow us the option to tip with our party of 3, they just charged the card and chose no tip) just a bit of an intense environment. Can get busy at times. might be better to go on weekdays or off-hours. I don't think they offer the normal menu except at dinner. Lunch is buffet only.

On January 19th, while hanging out with friends, we wanted to go to Hashtag because we love the food and hospitality there--it's always next level. Every time I visit Las Vegas, we make sure to eat at Hashtag Indian Restaurant However, this time, we found out that Hashtag was closed. Since we were craving Indian food, we decided to try Desi Chowrasta Las Vegas, as it was the nearest option. When we called, they confirmed they were open, so we placed an order for three goat pulaos and one chicken biryani. They told us the food would take 15-20 minutes, so we waited and arrived at the restaurant after 25 minutes. When we got there, the food still wasn't ready. When I asked about it, they said, "Just 5 more minutes." After waiting another 5 minutes, I got frustrated and asked again, as we were in a hurry--some of our friends were waiting outside, and we had plans to go to a club. Again, they said, "Just 5 more minutes." After nearly half an hour, we finally got our goat pulao, but it was cold and tasted awful--the worst I've ever had. The chicken biryani still hadn't arrived. I asked them again about it, explaining that it wasn't fair for three of us to be eating while one person had no food. They again told me, "Just 2 more minutes." After waiting another 5 minutes, I asked again, and they repeated, "2 more minutes." Eventually, we gave up on waiting for the biryani and decided to share the goat pulao among the four of us. We finished eating, and just as we were about to leave--20 to 30 minutes later--they finally brought out the chicken biryani. At that point, we had lost all patience. We had a couple of spoons, but we left most of the food behind because we were so frustrated with the service and the quality. To make things worse, throughout our time there, we had to call the staff multiple times just to get water, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. The service was horrible, and the food was even worse. The final bill was around $120, which was shocking considering the terrible experience. It felt like a complete waste of money. Overall, this was the worst dining experience I've ever had. I'm never coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone--family or friends.

We went to this Indian Restaurant for the brand name as we have been to their outlets in DFW area. But this one was a big disappointment with so many red flags . The service is extremely laid back and lethargic right from the point where you are made to wait for eternity even before someone comes to take the order. Many items on the menu are not available when you place the order Once they take your order they literally avoid coming near your table at all as they know you would start asking about the order they took sometime back. It was an absolute disaster when they came to our table after 40 minutes and told that a few items that we ordered are not available and we need to choose a different item What made it even worse was the guy who took the order and the one who we kept reminding every once in 10 minutes about the order didn't even want to listen to our complaint and just walked away as if it's none of his business!!! We could certainly see them serving a few tables really well with all smiles and orders coming to them in time. There was definitely some weird way of discriminating a few tables over the others and God knows what their criteria is. And after all this experience we were very much prepared for a very mediocre or below average tasting food ans it was exactly that! They are nothing close to the outlets in the DFW area. Overall it was a pathetic experience at this restaurant run by a group of inhospitable people who are lucky enough to be working under a brand that has a good image elsewhere. Also we have never seen Sambhar poured over Basmati rice and being served as Sambhar Rice The price is steep and to pay that kind of money for this experience is stupidity!

Parking is easy; there's a little garage on the ground level. Anyways, we were immediately seated as a table of four. We came for an early-ish dinner on a weekday, and there were other diners there, too. Good sign. The inside of the restaurant is okay, though a little dark and tacky with the LED lights. I wouldn't recommend coming here for the ambiance or pictures. If you're here, it's just for the food. We ordered the chicken tikka masala (basic, I know, but it's so good), chicken saag, a lamb curry, garlic naan, and regular naan. The first two came with rice. All medium spicy, which was a pleasant level of heat. The naan comes as four pieces per order. In my opinion, the flavors of all the curry dishes were delicious, but I can't exactly testify to their authenticity (seemed pretty authentic to me!). I wouldn't say it's the best Indian food I've had, though. Indeed, the pieces of chicken were a bit too tough for me. Service was good-to-okay. Our waitress kept walking away mid-conversation, haha. The old Indian man who brought out some of our food was so sweet, though! Overall, Rutba was a satisfying dinner, though I wouldn't say anything stood out to me. But still, I'm glad we got to try it!

One of the worst dining experiences we've had in Vegas…read more We decided to try Mint near Flamingo Road, and honestly, we left wondering how a place can get so many dishes wrong in a single meal. We ordered a huge spread--Paneer Chilli, Paneer Peshwari, Paneer Tikka Masala, Malai Kofta, five garlic butter naans, two tandoori rotis, Kadai Mutton, Tandoori Chicken, and Chicken Tikka Kabab--and almost everything was a disappointment. Paneer Chilli: This was the first red flag. It was super tangy--so sour it overpowered every other flavor. Instead of a balanced Indo‑Chinese dish, it tasted like someone dumped vinegar straight into the pan. Paneer Peshwari: Easily one of the worst dishes of the night. The curry didn't even look like a curry--it looked like oil and water had completely separated, floating in layers. It was unappetizing before we even tasted it, and somehow tasted even worse. Paneer Tikka Masala: This one was shocking. The paneer tasted stale, like it had been sitting around far too long, and the sauce was basically a thin, bland tomato soup pretending to be tikka masala. No richness, no spice, no depth. Malai Kofta: Mushy, oddly sour, and completely off in texture. It didn't resemble the creamy, flavorful dish it's supposed to be. Breads: The garlic butter naan was limp and greasy, and the tandoori rotis were so dry they felt like they'd been forgotten in the oven. Nothing tasted fresh. Kadai Mutton: All heat, no flavor. It felt like someone added chili powder and called it a day. The meat didn't taste seasoned or cooked with care. Tandoori Chicken & Chicken Tikka Kabab: Both were overcooked, dry, and surprisingly flavorless. Tandoori dishes are supposed to be the highlight of any Indian restaurant, but these were just sad. For the price and the reputation this place claims to have, the entire meal felt like a complete letdown. Nothing tasted balanced, nothing tasted fresh, and nothing made us want to return. Based on our experience, this was easily one of the worst meals we've had in Vegas. We brought our guests here and paid freaking $500 for worst food. Zero customer service even after providing feedback. We had Mint previously many times and this was utterly worst experience ever. Never coming back again and spreading same message to my friends and family.

Naan & Curry Indian Grub…read more.. This is a jewel, if nothing more than for the rich fragrance that meets your nose when you open the door and walk in. If you've ever traveled to India, this is a place that will say, "Welcome home to true scratch cooking from the land of Bharat!" And that richness carries on through the mains. The chicken korma was buttery, and velvety, and everything you think home-cooked Indian food should be. The daal makhani was equally rich and spiced to the max. Lots of layers of flavor here mean that the scratch cooking care shows. Even the house-made mango lassi, which is packaged to-go on site, was so thick I had to cut it with some water mid way through. This was like dessert in a bottle all the way through. And the offer for more rice was made without prompting... not a feature you often find at an Indian place, where rice is often extra per portion. This is friendly service with an open hand that takes no other gestures to be exceptional. For the non-spicy eaters out there, the korma is a good choice. Mom said the daal had a bit too much kick for her, but I didn't notice any pique in it at all. And if you want more spice, there's mint chutney and the jalapeño-sesame salsa. All good stuff! As for atmosphere, the tables are simple and decorated with a single floor to echo the decore on the walls. The dinner lighting is appropriately dimmed, matching the Beatles/U2-infused soft-rock. enlightenment tracks. It would be easy to spend a whole evening here stuffing yourself full of basmati-fueled sub-continental goodness. The portion size here would make this ideal for more than one could eat alone, and would do well to serve a party of hundreds when scaled up. And the steady foot traffic of take-out customers tells me I'm not alone in thinking this. I'm definitely putting this on my Diwali list for next October. For those traveling by bus, the CX & 202 will bring you east to here from the Caesar's Palace stops on the Strip. Either the Hughes Center or the Paradise Road stop will get you within a block or so for walking. Whether you're from here in town, or you've flown in from afar, this is a place that will take you back home to the Indus Valley places you remember in your heart. And at a price point that is right around $20 per dish, rice INCLUDED, in late January 2026 is a great deal in any market. So come in for some good grub soon... and enjoy!

The food is always seasoned so well, and the garlic naan is buttery, garlicky, and so good. My favorites are the goat curry, saag paneer, and samosas. I also really enjoy their lentil soup, rice pudding, and the little gulab jamun -- sweet, but not overly sweet. Definitely worth trying if you're looking for a solid lunch buffet.

How have I been sleeping on Indian Food?? OMG!!! I happened to be heading to Express Hibachi and I…read morerolled up on Spice Indian Cuisine. I normally don't spontaneously try new restaurants, especially when I'm hungry. However I do love to see great reviews from fellow Yelp Sista's, and Brutha's. The reviews did not tell ONE LIE. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by who I thought was the Owner. He has such a calm and pleasant demeanor. His name is Vishal. This man walked me through certain menu items that I'd found on a number of fellow Yelpies pages. Vishal told me how much food it'll be and when I say, I didn't know they eat like it's a last Harvest daily? I was ECSTATIC!! I was overly excited when the plates started flowing towards my very large Corian or Granite table top Sizzling. It's lovely inside of this very intimate Indian restaurant. I truly was taken aback of how low the foot traffic was to dine here. * I'm a TRUE BELIEVER that there are many different SEASONS and REASONS Why things happen. Even though I was set out to order Take Out from a Woman small business Owner (Women's History Month). Her business just happened to be closed. I was led to look up and search for other food spots in the area of where I already was. Spice Indian Cuisine was one of the FIRST restaurants to pop up on my feed of food choices. I saw the pictures, read several very happy Yelp customer reviews and I was SOLD. Then this much buffer man came in the door. He walked over to me and asked, Is Everything Okay? I knew that he was the OWNER at that moment. He was even more calmer than Vishal lol. Hari is his name. I introduced myself to him, and told him, I'm gonna Help you get more business. He seemed very enthusiastic but kinda hesitant when I told him What I do for a hobby. I also explained to him that I had a big following (14 million) on Google and even though I have distanced myself from Google reviews. I will do my BEST to share my photos', my detailed review, and videos . In hopes that it will intrigue other people's interests to come and eat at Hari's small restaurant that also has AYCE Buffet from 11a.m-4p.m. Tips are HIGHLY WELCOME. Hari told me when COVID hit his business took a major decline and it was never able to get back to that. I met several people that have already said, They LOVE GOOD INDIAN FOOD and would LOVE to try his cuisine. I spoke to a female Army Vet and she'd been stationed in the Middle East at one point. She said there was a dish (starts with an M) that you scoop up with your hands...that she will never forget it just that GOOOOOD LOL. I had ended up trying the Papadam, Garlic Naan, Tandoori Chicken, Butter Chicken (served w/white rice), and a Sprite soda. FYI; The Tandoori Chicken has LEVELS of spice. I will go down to a level One next time, Vishal offered me 1-10. Of course I just knew a three would be for chumps like me but NOPE, I'm just a chimp lmao. I was chugging my water at first then I started to except the heat lol SMDH. I had sooooo much food leftovers, the next day. I was glad to finish everything but the Butter Chicken. Its more than a shareable portion of foods. Great quality and quantity here. Please give them a try, and tell em' I sent ya. Peace, Love, and Continued BLESSINGS in our country that's shifting...not for a Greater Good. WE ALL GOTTA STAY SAFE.

Wow the salmon was the best Indian dish I've ever had! Everything was so fresh & amazing! The wings were different and we loved them! As we drove to the restaurant the area did not look inviting, but once inside, you get a more sophisticated experience. Most of the places we go to are not known for ambience...so I applaud the effort to make this nice. Soft Indian instrumental music was on....this was going to make this experience even better. We got some water and got our usual order of Chicken Tikka Masala, a Masala Dosa and butter naan. Dosa came first..had some beautiful sauces....and full of potato. Best Dosa I have ever had....hub agreed. The chicken tikka was ordered spicy and this did not disappoint. I thought the portion size was quite generous and it came with a flavorful rice. The naan was a little small, but it worked due to the oversize of the Dosa and the Tikka. I would bring friends here next time because the space is so nice. Our Waiter was just amazing and he worked with us on the Open table stuff. A definite must return!!

First time visiting this restaurant, and overall a great experience. I would like to divide my…read morereview into three categories: Food, Ambience & Location, and Wait Times & Ordering. Food:Top-notch food and a perfect dosa--just like the ones I used to enjoy in India. The pricing is reasonable for the quality and portion size. I absolutely loved the crisp texture of the dosa, and the coconut chutney and sambar combination was delicious, with a perfectly balanced flavor profile. The mango lassi was regular but tasted good and refreshing. Ambience & Location: The restaurant is easy to locate, and I appreciated that all the tables were clearly numbered. We need to place an order before sitting at the table. Wait Times & Ordering: We visited on the night of the 26th after the Backstreet Boys concert and were super exhausted. The food took about 35 minutes to arrive after placing the order. However, since the food was delicious, we didn't mind and decided to come back the next day for lunch. On the 27th afternoon, we waited about an hour for a table and another 30 minutes for the food. While the wait was long, the quality of the food made it worthwhile. Kris, the owner, was amazing and very friendly, which added a personal touch to the experience. When he noticed us and asked where you here last night One thing I noticed is that the restaurant may be short-staffed or the kitchen might be too small to handle such a large crowd. I had read reviews mentioning robots delivering food, but on both days we visited, a staff member delivered the food instead.Overall great food and friendly service, just be prepared for longer wait times during peak hours. We did do a to go of chicken biryani, chole batura and pav baji, chicken biryani was okay, my husband mentioned rice was little undercooked and the chicken looked under nourished lol, i gobbled the chole batura even before taking the pics. Kris thank you once again. Good luck.
