We also shared another appetizer and dessert, and everything was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. What I loved most was that the menu felt creative and elevated, not like a typical expectation of "Indian food," but a truly special dining experience. I had a very frustrating reservation experience here. I booked a table through SevenRooms and later tried to call the restaurant to move the reservation back by one hour. Instead of reaching someone at the restaurant, I was routed to an AI phone agent. The AI agent told me I would receive a call back to confirm the change, but I never received one. I called again to follow up and was again told the message would be passed along, but still never received a call or confirmation. Because I could not get confirmation that the reservation had been changed, I cancelled the reservation rather than risk my party arriving late or creating confusion. After that, I was told there would be a $25 per person cancellation fee for four people. In my opinion, charging a cancellation fee after the restaurant's own phone system failed to provide a timely human response or confirmation is unfair. I understand restaurants need cancellation policies, but customers also need a reliable way to modify a reservation or reach someone when plans change. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable making another reservation here. read more

The restaurant is absolutely aesthetically pleasing combining both luxury and simplicity. The service matched the ambiance well. The dishes were cleared and brand new plates were set between every course without missing a beat. For appetizers, we started with the pomelo salad and the artichoke sashimi. Both were really subtle which made them ideal openers hence appetizers. The pomelo salad is the move if you're into something bright and tangy and the artichoke sashimi is the more savory, both worth ordering. The banana leaf sea bass was a standout, and I say that as someone who doesn't typically gravitate toward seafood. It had none of that heavy ocean taste. The butter chicken, though, was the highlight of my night. The texture, the creaminess, the perfectly cooked chicken was just flat-out excellent. My only con would probably be the portion size because it left me wanting more. Lastly, because it came a little late the exotic bread basket. It genuinely should have led the table. This is a very nice upscale Indian restaurant in Town Square Mall. They have a good mix of traditional Indian and fusion dishes. We tried chicken Tariwala, dal makhani, paneer, all of them were excellent. If you like goat cheese I highly recommend their goat cheese togarashi naan. For dessert we tried mango yuzu rasmalai. I had a work dinner here this week and had a lovely experience! Ambiance - I loved that the space felt warm with the plush couch seating, to the stone textures throughout the space. They carried that to the plates and gold cutlery. Service - Jasmine was our server. She was AMAZING! A kind spirit and was very attentive and aware when it came to approaching the menu. Especially, with me being the only vegan in our party. She made sure I got to enjoy the food just as much as the team. I really appreciated that! Food - Everything was flavorful and had depths to it. My girlfriend got us a reservation here for Valentine's, and this has become our newest favorite restaurant ever. This is the kind of restaurant that we would visit in another city and would come back to that city just to eat there again. How convenient that this is a mere 15 minute drive away from home! Located in Town Square, there is plenty of parking available, and the restaurant itself is very classy and offers a variety of seating available for any party. The service was fantastic - they're the kind of people who know that menu and restaurant inside out and look like they love to be there. For food, we had to get the items that were a must for first-timers! For drinks, we got the Magic Elephant (a spicy fun drink for tequila girls) and the Crown Lassi Luxe (a sweet and dangerous drink). We ordered the Kimchi Butter Oysters, and they changed our lives (we couldn't stop thinking about them for days). We ordered the Banana Leaf Seabass and the Fire Roasted Bany Baingan with basmati rice and garlic cilantro naan. Amazing food, truly. Delicious and savory! So excited to come back to try more dishes. What can I say about Tamba that hasn't already been mentioned in the other 5-star reviews? I mean, Tamba is simply excellence realized. From the time we walked in (on 1/24/26) until the time we left, everything we saw, smelled, ate, and drank was just excellent. The amuse bouche of Tamba's version of crispy rice and tuna - excellent. The appetizers of Tamarind Spiced Hamachi and salad with pomelo - excellent. The supremely tender and flavorful lamb chops, vegetable biryani, Butter Chicken, Exotic Bread Basket with the most lovely assortment of naan breads - EXCELLENT! I unfortunately can no longer recall what we got for dessert, but it was so incredibly interesting and beautifully plated. I think Tamba is best enjoyed with friends so you can order more items from their menu. Our party of 4 got to try something from almost every section from the menu but there was so much more we wanted to try, which will definitely happen on our next visit. 10/10 recommend!! read more

The service was very attentive, but we weren't crazy impressed with the food for a James Beard semifinalist. We got the murgh jidori (chicken), ajwaini black cod, and fire-roasted baby baingan (eggplant) as well as naan and a lassi drink. The jidori was tough and sort of dry. The black cod appetizer was tender and the eggplant dish was flavorful. Were they worth it for the prices? Probably not. We came here to celebrate a girlfriend's birthday and the vibes were everything. The restaurant has a modern, subtle atmosphere that's a little dark, but it works perfectly for the mood. The booths and chairs are super cute, though definitely on the heavy side if you need to scoot in. We had a table for eight and arrived a few minutes late, but the staff was very accommodating. Once seated, our waiter greeted us quickly and got our drink orders started right away. After going through the menu, we decided to order family style, which is truly the best way to go with a big group. We loved being able to try a little bit of everything. The food itself was absolutely delicious. That said, the wait times between courses were pretty long. I understand pacing out dishes, but the gaps felt a bit extended. For reference, we sat down at 6:45 pm and didn't leave until around 10:45 pm. There was a lot of waiting, but thankfully we had great company, so the time passed more easily. All of the dishes were flavorful, and even though it seemed like a lot of food, it was the perfect amount for eight people. I took a couple friends here for a birthday dinner last night and I really enjoyed this restaurant. Tamba is a new upscale & modern Indian restaurant at Town Square with dishes ranging from the $20 - $40. A stand out was the customer service and knowledge from our main server. He was honest about recommendations and about things he didn't love which I appreciated. I don't remember his name but he had kind of long -ish thick full hair and facial hair. I also loved their cocktail menu, really thoughtful way they were organized and described in the menu plus beautiful and delicious. The mocktails were also great. For food we did the pomelo salad, samosa chaat, the eggplant and tofu stir fry, a daal curry, and the butter chicken. I loved all the dishes and to my surprise the samosa chaat and the daal curry were my favorites and they were vegan. Everything was flavorful and beautiful. I have had Indian food many times locally but this was unlike anything I've ever had. The pomelo salad was also a standout. I did love the jidori chicken in the butter chicken but the sauce itself was not special, good but not mind blowing. The chicken was unbelievably tender though. We skipped dessert. Overall I'd give it 5 stars. Service was impressive, someone brought out a gluten free item we had to go and asked if we wanted it separate in case there was a gluten allergy. I thought that was above and beyond. And last I will leave with some very minor feedback or just thoughts. I noticed the starters weren't piping hot when they were served which I think would have made the food even better, specifically the samosa chaat dish. I say that because the mains or curries and rice came piping piping hot and were so good. Not a big deal or a dal breaker just something I noticed. And last, I don't love the entrance of the restaurant. That reception space with the hostess is a miss for me for the vibe. Came to celebrate the Bears victory over the hated Pack on a Saturday night. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and had a DJ playing Indian Techno (a little louder than my old self would like). The servers did a good job of keeping our drinks full, answering questions, and checking on us. We ordered the garlic cilantro naan (2 pieces per order), artichoke sashimi, butter chicken, and goat curry. Everything was definitely good! Not sure it was better than what we have been served at Clove at a cheaper price point. If you are looking for more exotic dishes not offered elsewhere, I would definitely recommend giving this place a visit! I've heard nothing but great things about Tamba and I'm so happy I got to experience this amazing dining experience for myself. I went for my birthday and I knew from looking at the menu the lamb chops were calling my name. We started with the oysters (spicy) but they were some of the best oysters I've had. It's been 12 days and I'm still thinking about those oysters. We also had the lamb chops, chicken masala, rice, and bread. Everything was perfection. The waiter was one of the best waiters I've had. He explained everything on the menu in great detail. He suggested drinks and food that were the top selected at the restaurant. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. There was nice music playing. Even some nice restaurants don't quite capture that feeling, but TAMBA absolutely can. The service was amazing. We ordered many items and thoroughly enjoyed everything. There wasn't a miss, even if there were dishes we personally liked more than others. The food quality across the board was excellent. Some might say they're the bomb-a. For the most part, they'd be right. Tamba is a "contemporary Indian" restaurant making waves in foodie circles. Located in easily accessible Town Square and also quite close to the free South Garage of that outdoor mall, their unassuming exterior holds a seemingly well-oiled machine closing in on their one-year anniversary. Despite all the hype, I was easily able to book a same-day reservation for two (15 min grace period, FYI) on a weeknight, and it wasn't all that crowded when we were there. The host asked us to wait in the waiting area for a bit then seated us quickly enough. "What the heck is contemporary Indian?" you might ask. I interpret it as analogous to new American, where they borrow a lot from other cuisines but also represent the base Indian flavors and ingredients strongly. With that in mind, as well as having heard various glowing podcasts and reviews, my friend and I went family-style and simply picked out a few things which we thought would be interesting. West Indian Rumble ($20.00, same price as all their cocktails): a promising mix of Flor De Caña Extra Dry rum, fresh blackberry, lemon, dried ginger, and allspice. I noticed an oddly stratified top layer of uncolored liquid and stirred the drink carefully before really getting into it. I loved the strong hits of rich blackberry and allspice. The lemon and ginger may have landed more subtly, but thank goodness it wasn't just a ginger bomb. Garlic Cilantro Naan ($6.00) and Trio of Chutneys ($6.00): a solid appetizer-like pairing. The naan is pretty standard fare, but I really liked the vibrant chutneys. The mint was great, the mango was sweet and lightly spicy, and the tamarind was intense and at least medium in heat. Tawa Charred Octopus ($39.00): pricey but absolutely magnificent. Very meaty tentacles with light char and sweetness from orange glaze and eel sauce. The glazed fennel was great and minimally anise-y. The beet was nice and juicy. I would've loved just a touch more yuzu lime aioli available around the plate. Banana Leaf Seabass ($42.00): great flaky execution of seabass that does almost work on its own due to warm spices and whatever was in that addictive kerala sauce. But then you have to get into the truffle celeriac puree (with edamame for some intangible reason, but it works too), which delivers a punch of black truffle in every silky bite. The stingy portioning of "creamy citric lime" sauce was even more obvious here as it needed a relatively high portion of sauce to fish to make the lime kick evident. When I made that happened, it was a party in my mouth. Pahadi Paneer ($28.00): a vegetarian curry with a side of basmati included. The curry was not really that potent or memorable, and the basmati again proves to be an inferior rice to jasmine as it just came out a tad bit dry. Naan may be a better accompaniment to the curry and paneer, but I found myself also wishing that the paneer was a bit firmer and therefore meatier. Jangiri Crunch ($20.00): our consensus choice for one dessert after asking a server and noting that it had the most Yelp photos of all the desserts. Although that funnel cake-esque thing looks like it should be a centerpiece, you should treat it like a crouton as you try to combine bites of the kaffir lime ice cream, coconut pak, and passionfruit mousse. There's a bit of a kids breakfast cereal and milk resemblance when you get just the ice cream and crispy jalebi in a bite too. I did find that the kaffir lime flavor was most intense in the first bite, so perhaps they should make it more of a sorbet or at least sherbet to preserve the kaffir intensity? That aside, still a great dessert overall. Complimentary dessert chocolate: actually another memorable bite, studded below with some aniseed and something colorful. The anise crunch and flavor somehow worked with that dark chocolate goodness. If you don't get a separate dessert, you may not regret it. The interior was nicely backlit and full of warm brown colors. The chairs were comfy. The music seemed culturally appropriate and stayed at a low-enough volume that people's voices stayed in the medium range. The table lamps provide enough light, and they actually have three brightness options which you may wanna swap between for food photos. Tamba is simply a must-try restaurant. I would skip just the Pahadi Paneer unless you really feel like you'll love it, but almost everything else in my meal was impressive. read more

The main complaint was the food lack depth and flavor, which is something you don't usually say when you eat this cuisine! We got the oysters because 3 employees said it was the best thing on the menu. Oysters best thing on the Indian menu -- should've been a flag. The oysters were overpowered by kimchi liquid. We got 2 curries: Achari Bhindi Do Pyaza and Chicken Tariwala. Achari was an okra curry so we thought we tried something new and Tariwala was "home style" so we went for a classic. Both lacked depth of flavor. We got the exotic bread basket and all were lack luster. Plain was too plain, garlic cilantro was mild, black truffle was overwhelming (poor quality), and goat cheese was just a topping but the best out the 4. Tab for 2 drinks, oysters, 2 curries, and the bread basket came out to $189 before tip -- SHEESH! It's a great ambiance but far from authentic Indian food. Your local Indian buffet or takeout pars better than this sit down restaurant, especially for the price. Drinks are decent but we were here for the food and it was a disappointment. They have a mixologist at the bar for cocktails and next to the bar was a DJ playing contemporary Indian Style Music at a somewhat medium loud level. If you have readers you will need them here because the print on the menu is a lighter gold color and is hard to see. (I had to photograph the menu and read it on my phone). There are many sections to the menu and it is hard to tell how many plates you want to share. Also some dishes are lighter and other dishes are very large and generous. As for the dishes I picked four dishes. naan, and dessert worked out perfect for us. We started with the Tamarind Spiced Hamachi. This one was very fresh and light. The parking was atrocious. The out front parking is for To-go orders. I parked in the parking garage of a crowded Friday evening. In Vegas, it's your journey, so come dressed as you feel in most instances. Tables and booths alike with comfy twisting chair. Semi formal place setting so I get ready for the experience. It was fun, the tempo of the room was great. Tristan helped with drink and food suggestions, gave wine samples and was a gracious host. His team in the section was kind and interactive. We ordered 2 items from the WOK selection: Lobster fried rice and a Noodle Stir fry Seafood along with some Garlic Cilantro Naan. I have to stay hands down the stir fry was the tastier entree. It had more depth and flavors melded into a nice sauce. The Naan was a bit disappointing because it lacked flavor. The Riesling and Cabernet was tasty with a price range to fit all points. What distinguishes truly legendary foodie experiences from the pack, the best of the best, are more than just the flavors, impeccable service, and ambiance. They curate, and meticulously craft experiences that spark childhood nostalgia, joy, and most importantly of all, community. If you ask me, that's who deserves a Michelin star the most, and I've been to many starred locations. Can I bring a group of great friends from across the nation, and rest assured they will not only have their mind blown from the cuisine, but will feel right at home further building bonds to last the test of time.       Creating community should matter most‼       I've been to Tamba ( @tambalasvegas ) countless times now, the most repeats in my city, and this is my third story to share with you all. It never misses! This was my first time setting up a large group of friends there, 10 of us, and as luck would have it, a true gift from one of the owners, we were blessed to experience their private dining area and fixed course feast. Not only did it cover all of my favorites I've had numerous times, everyone left stuffed, even leftovers to cure the morning hangovers. I was stoked to share this with one of my friends from India to get his opinion too. He almost died exclaiming how much he loved it. Rest assured I am making my way through their entire menu and everything I've devoured was flawless. Before you ask, this wasn't sponsored or comped. I set it up for my friends, my family, because it's that awesome.      My favorite way to show love is through a shared feast, and it's surprisingly difficult to find a gem that meets all of this criteria. This was truly an amazing way to kick off the annual Superbowl event my buddy has organized for over 20 years and counting. I'm usually skeptical of places with exceptional ambiance and strong social media presence. Are they the real deal or all for show? After finally trying Tamba, I'm pretty impressed and can say they earned their accolades. We came to celebrate my husband's 31st birthday and had exceptional, thoughtful, attentive service from start to finish. We even enjoyed a tour of the kitchen courtesy of their manager, Anna!! It was clear how much effort goes into the food AND ambiance. NOW, onto the FOOD... - The tawa charred octopus blew us away. The chef really knew what they were doing with crafting this. The flavors of everything on the plate made sense together and brought a little sweet, acidic, earthy, savory, and textural together. My absolute favorite part was the roasted, pickled red onion. It was divine!! This was a joy to eat and we'd definitely come back for this dish. - The madras tuna laap was good, but I just wish the sauce stuck to the fish a bit more (a little oil? A different presentation style? Serving with a spoon?). The fish was incredibly fresh and all of the accoutrements (down to the micro greens) all served a purpose with the dish. - The methi murgh was undoubtedly good (tender, well seasoned), but the accoutrements weren't my favorite. Nothing on the plate was bad, but maybe it wasn't my personal preference. - The truffle naan and chutney trio were delicious starters to our meal! If you're a sauce person, definitely get the chutneys. - The kimchi butter grilled oysters were delicious and full of flavor. I do wish the flavors leaned more obviously South Asian so we can really appreciate Indian cuisine. Regardless, they were a pleasant bite and I'd enjoy these again. - The fire roasted baby baingan definitely carried a nice toasty flavor, and the curry was quite full-bodied. I enjoyed this and even took home the leftover curry sauce to mix with more rice! - The drink menu was expansive! We enjoyed the mango lassi (less thick than traditional, but the flavor was spot on) and the chai lemonade was refreshing without being overly sweet . - the Jalebi Crunch was a tasty treat to end the dessert. Our jalebi was a bit hard to break apart with a spoon (maybe smaller pieces; or serve with fork and knife?). The passion fruit mousse was an excellent pairing that tied all of the elements together! Had a very horrible experience today. Made a reservation for a team dinner party and we were still not seated after more than over an hour wait. The manager told us there was nothing he could do and just said we have to wait. This was very embarrasing to me as someone who had encouraged and chosen this restaurant for all of my colleagues to dine here. Will not be coming back after this kind of service! read more

From the moment you walk in, the stunning decor sets the tone--clearly, a lot of thought and effort went into creating a space that feels both upscale and welcoming. Yes, the prices are a little higher than your average Indian spot, but that's because this is fine dining. The quality of the ingredients and execution is absolutely worth it.
