First time visiting this restaurant, and overall a great experience. I would like to divide my review into three categories: Food, Ambience & Location, and Wait Times & Ordering. Food:Top-notch food and a perfect dosa--just like the ones I used to enjoy in India. The pricing is reasonable for the quality and portion size. I absolutely loved the crisp texture of the dosa, and the coconut chutney and sambar combination was delicious, with a perfectly balanced flavor profile. The mango lassi was regular but tasted good and refreshing. Ambience & Location: The restaurant is easy to locate, and I appreciated that all the tables were clearly numbered. We need to place an order before sitting at the table. Wait Times & Ordering: We visited on the night of the 26th after the Backstreet Boys concert and were super exhausted. The food took about 35 minutes to arrive after placing the order. However, since the food was delicious, we didn't mind and decided to come back the next day for lunch. On the 27th afternoon, we waited about an hour for a table and another 30 minutes for the food. While the wait was long, the quality of the food made it worthwhile. Kris, the owner, was amazing and very friendly, which added a personal touch to the experience. When he noticed us and asked where you here last night One thing I noticed is that the restaurant may be short-staffed or the kitchen might be too small to handle such a large crowd. I had read reviews mentioning robots delivering food, but on both days we visited, a staff member delivered the food instead.Overall great food and friendly service,just be prepared for longer wait times during peak hours. Gluten free peeps - they label everything they have! & I love being able to find and eat a good GF dosa (although you can also get more than that!)! Our food was wonderful and my entire party loved it. One other fun note about this place and its service - a robot delivered our food, lol! Just kinda cool to see. You order right when you walk in with a person, then sit down, and the robot delivers your food/a person checks in on you to make sure things are okay. We stopped by for to-go lunch on our visit to Las Vegas. We were pleasantly surprised to see the various menu options. It was quiet and had a nice decor. I chose tiffin Idli while my wife chose tiffin Mendu vada. The food was hot and delicious when we brought it back. The Sambhar and chutney were well packed so there were no spills during transit. We ordered chicken chettinad and garlic dosa plus chicken biryani. Chicken chettinad was decent but watery. The garlic nan was pricey at $6 and not cooked well. They did get a replacement but maybe the problem was with the dough not being ready. Biryani took forever to come. They forgot the boiled egg on top which was being given out to everyone - they got it upon reminder. Went there for a late lunch. Service was bad, Food came in waves from 5 minutes to thirty minutes after ordering. You have to catch a server just to get you basic utensils and paper towels. Yelp Review 2023 #146: I've only been to Divine Dosa thrice since they opened about 3 years ago. My first visit was at dinner time and they had mostly desi customers. They're the more casual sister restaurant of Mint (they're both casual but DD&B is even more so). So, they're menu is pretty similar. This restaurant is located along the Strip next to the church I go to (not the casino). My go-to menu items from here are: Mango Lassi Papadum Chicken Tikka Masala Garlic Naan Biryani And of course, dosa (masala dosa) Everything I've tried has been delicious. I've never left this place hungry or unsatisfied. And I always end up with lots of leftovers which taste better the next day. I've never had issues with their service here. If you need something, get up and ask - it's that simple. I only eat Indian food maybe every 4 months as my stomach doesn't agree with all the spices and the mango lassi. Only a few places in town do Dosa...I usually go to Mint Indian bistro, but I was at the Wynn, and this was a really close walk for a quick lunch. This is a more casual restaurant, you can order per kiosk, or at the counter...they will then assign you a table and a robot will deliver your food. We decided to get our usual Chicken Tikki Masala and ordered the Dosa Masala..which is potato inside. It came with 3 sauces, and it was quite delicious. I only dock a star for the dishes that the food came out on, they look nice, but they are plastic and do not keep the food warm very long...so I would hope they would change that. As a local, this has been my go to spot for South Indian food. My usual order is the masala dosa and sometimes the amul cheese dosa with masala on the side. The dosa has the right amount of crispiness and softness. The sambar had a good amount of spice. Also ordered the chicken biryani that had a good amount of chicken pieces. The biryani came with South Indian Mirrchi salan on the side. Service was decent. Order at counter and they assign a table to you. Food is delivered by either a robot or staff. Robot feels gimmicky. The food was very good- especially the dosa! One of the few places that serve dosas that I have found. The last place was in the Riviera Hotel, which is no longer around. The service was amazing- mostly because this is the first time I was services by a robot! So cool! The restaurant itself was nice and clean inside. You walk in and place your order at the counter, then you're given a number of a table to sit at. Once there, a rolling robot brings you your food. As I said, that part was really cool. I ordered too much- chicken biryani (good), lamb curry (tender and very good), and then idli and sambar to dip it in (very good with authentic, home style flavors), and then of course the dosa's (excellent). Next time, I think one dosa or stuffed dosa will suffice. I certainly will be back! Note: I asked for 'the hottest pickle' they had on the side, and they gave me some sliced up Serrano/jalapeno peppers. Not what I expected, but it was... adequate. I would have rather had a Southern Indian style, very spicy traditional pickle or chutney. I really should start taking my own in a little jar when I go to Indian places. I had a tasty masala dosa and hot masala chai tea at Divine Dosa today. It's a small place off the Las Vegas strip just north of the Encore hotel/ casino. It's located close to Las Vegas Blvd among a group of shops and businesses including souvenir and Indian jewelry shops. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable for me. I'm accustomed to eating in South India where the some best eating establishments pay very little attention to interior design. There's a brightly lit menu on the wall as you enter and food is ordered and paid for right there. A table is assigned by number where your food is served either by a human or a robot. The tables are clean and nicely spaced and they spread out the customers nicely so I didn't mind being told where to sit. I've been staying at the Cosmopolitan hotel where the food options are severely lacking IMO, so I was happy to find a place that serves good authentic South Indian food. I haven't had a masala dosa in a while, and it was everything I was hoping for, including a reasonable price in this extremely inflated area. The dosa (lentil/rice crepe) was large, crispy and the right brownish tan color. There was a healthy portion of the masala filling of potatoes, onions and spices. Their sambar (lentil/tomato/vegetable soup/sauce) was really tasty and coconut and tomato chutneys were also up to snuff IMO. The chai was the real deal, freshly made and piping hot, served in a cardboard cup without sugar so add as needed. I later ordered the mutton biryani via Uber Eats from my suite at the Cosmopolitan. The friendly lady at the register who I think may be Eastern European advised me to use Uber Eats when ordering from the hotel instead of some other food delivery services. I did so, and after just a bit of waiting I picked up the food from the driver at the Uber pickup area. I found the biryani to be good. It came with a nice amount of raita (most places skimp on this IMO) and some kind of sauce in another container. The biryani at first didn't seem too spicy, but it definitely had a delayed kick, so I didn't get into the sauce, which was reddish and spicy, but ate all the cooling raita (yogurt sauce). Again, after paying outrageous amounts for food here, this was a great alternative and a relief to discover. I'll be eating here again, and ordering online soon. I'm thankful that this place is here. So we were tired after walking on the strip and needed a break from the crowd. We wanted to get some stomach filling evening snacks and found Divine Dosa on yelp where we decided to go for some tea and Idli or Dosa. I asked my wife to go check out the place before we all went in and she waived from the door asking us all to come in! As I entered she showed me a "robot" that was bringing food to each table. My kid enjoyed watching the robot deliver food all throughout our time inside. The ambience and decor were good. The service was fast and Dosa and Sambar tasted good as well. They gave us extra sambar too. Chai was also good and it was quite relaxing to sit at 5.30pm on a Saturday. Quite a wide variety of Food on the menu; but you do have to order as you enter and they give you a table number to sit at where they bring the food to you. I will definitely come back to visit this place whenever I visit Vegas again; and recommend everyone to visit this place for the Robot server experience! read more

When I was younger I made a lot more money in a much shorter time. So much in fact that I spent much of my twenties, thirties and even my forties, working for six months to save $25,000, and then subletting my lakeview condo for big bucks so that I could travel for a year. I lived on the cheep, sleeping in trains (on my Eurail Pass) in the most expensive countries, and doing hotels in the cheaper ones. And I ate 2/3 of my meals from fruit stands and markets so I could afford a world class meal two or three times a week. I don't know how I did it, except that I was young and strong and exceptionally fearless. What a Great Life it was. But now I am old, or at least middle aged. And the many chili peppers I ate, and mountains I climbed, and opium dens filled with thugs and prostitutes that I passed out in - my body's blade has been worn thin. Now it takes me a year to save enough money to travel for even just three weeks. And an opium den in Burma? Well, it would simply kill me nowadays. But there is a solution - and I found it, all because I live in California. And that solution is... Las Vegas. Now Las Vegas isn't what it used to be. When I first came here in 1984, Las Vegas was a bastion of free drinks, one dollar shrimp cocktails, and $9.99 prime rib dinners. Back then Vegas wanted you to save ALL OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO LOSE AT THE TABLES. Vegas didn't see any profit in you spending all of your cash on watered-down drinks. So, there, in Las Vegas, in 1984, Life Was Good - at least good for the visitor. But if you lived there - life sucked. There were no regular restaurants, there were no movie-houses, there were no public swimming pools or cheep amusement parks for your kids. All that you could do while living in Vegas was swelter in the heat, eat out at a drive-thru, and pray every payday that you hit it big on the slots. But then, the Las Vegas Cultural Revolution came - and everything changed. It began when they tore down the Tropicana - and the The Sands, The Sahara, The Stardust, and The Frontier. Then they rebuilt all of the Las Vegas Strip into a Foody's dreamland, and a rich person's glittering Theme Park. And as multitudes of Michelin Starred Chef's began populating The Strip, hundreds of regular chefs began populating the rest of the city. Suddenly there were Dim Sun restaurants on the outskirts of town, and first-class AYCE Korean BBQ places as far from the strip as you could get. So, that now, in 2023, Las Vegas is not only the hottest place in the USA to move to, but it is also one of the top Restaurant Cities in the whole world. Forget about your $9.99 prime rib dinners - because now you are expected to drop 400 bucks on sushi for two, and a thousand dollars on front row seats at Cirqu de Sole. And to the great surprise of the skeptical Las Vegas Mafia - people do it: thousands of them. Which brings me to the subject of Penis Envy. Why is that, you ask? Well, what's four feet long and is flung onto your table like an elephant dick? The Masala Dosa Crepe at "Divine Dosa & Biryani," a recently opened authentic Indian Restaurant that is a good ways from the strip. This joint is meant for locals and tourists alike. And don't sell it short, just because it doesn't cater to the gambling crowd (there are no slot machines here). "Divine Dosa & Biryani" offers a modified version of Southwestern Indian Cuisine. Nearly ALL of the dishes here are fundamentally Hindu, and "Pradesh" (the Hindu version of Kosher & Halal), which in its least form means that no animal was killed in order to make the dish. However, because this authentic South Indian Restaurant is located in the USA, and in Las Vegas no less, nearly every dish is offered in a meat version as well. Of course, iconic vegetarian dishes, like Saag Paneer" and "Matter Paneer" do not have meat versions, most curries, kormas, masalas, and vindaloos do have them. So you meat eaters, the many of you, are safe. But you might be surprised how fulfilling a good Saag Paneer can be, even if it doesn't have meat in it. Also, vegetarian or not, this place is most famous for it's 4 foot long version of Masala Dosa, which cones with more than half a dozen delicious dipping sauces. This is a solid restaurant, with a great menu filled with curries, korma, tikka masala, and vindaloo. Come and try it for yourself, if you can stand the spicy heat. Of course, it's not going to cost $9.99, but it won't be hundreds of dollars either. It is just a regular place, with excellent Indian food. Eat it and you will see. This place is good.
