It was a Big job, and I must say the West Coast team did an excellent job. Communication was great throughout, and the entire team was a pleasure to work with. We had a couple of other companies provide quotes, and West Coast beat them all! They were reliable, professional, and affordable. The installation went smooth and passed all inspections with flying colors! Thank you to the West Coast Team for the Great service!

TIMELY- Uriel called 30 min before his arrival and then, arrived at the stated time. This is particularly helpful so I can move my bunny to another room with all of his belongings. ATTENTION TO DETAIL - I saw him place a protective cloth down on the floor before he placed the ladder and tools down. I also noticed there was a bottle of cleaner with his supplies. He cleaned the inside vents as well as the compressor on the roof. He also tied off a loose wire/when checking the air handler in the ceiling. KNOWLEDGEABLE and THROROUGH - Uriel did a complete system check and then, he sat down with me to explain what was done and why. He addressed the concerns I had about some of the prior readings in terms that I could understand and shared tips that will help ensure my system runs at its most efficient. Example: A higher MERV doesn't always mean "better" and can actually restrict the airflow. He said that for my particular system I should use a MERV10 filter and change it every 3 months. He changed my filters and then, left me with two spares to use before the fall check comes. FRIENDLY - In the course of chatting with Uriel, it came up that I might benefit from having more filtered air coming into my condo. He made a recommendation for a part that would replace the standalone room air purifier I currently use. He placed this info into the after-visit summary so I can "research it and see if it fits with my needs and finances." There was zero pressure to make a purchase on the spot. And while this next item has nothing to do with the knowledge or ability of an HVAC tech, I greatly appreciate that he did NOT smell like cigarette / e-cigarette smoke or strong cologne as I have a bunny and people in my family have asthma. Thank you, Uriel, for a job well done.

As someone who relies on word-of-mouth reputation and customer service for my own personal business, this company fails across the board. 1) We had an issue with our solar panels so we called Solar Tech first thing in the morning. The phone operator told us we would get a call back from one of the techs later on that day. FIVE days went by before we even got a response back, and it was in the form of a text message asking us what problems we were having. If a customer is calling you for help, the last thing you should do is make them wait almost a week to get a response, and then have them explain to you what is wrong over text. Very poor professionalism. STRIKE 1. 2) The tech told us the next available appointment was 1 full week away, so not only did we wait FIVE full days for a text response, but we had to wait another full week for any resolution of service. STRIKE 2 3) The day of our appointment, thankfully, we had the first appointment of the day scheduled as we had a very busy day with other obligations so we were hoping to have everything completed by mid morning. After about 4 hours of the company no-show/no-call/no-text, we decided to call the company to find out the status of our appointment. We got a voicemail instead of someone live, so we left a message. A few hours later we finally got a call back saying someone will show up later that day. And they did finally show up at the very end of the workday. STRIKE 3 This was a very VERY disappointing experience. From poor follow up, poor customer service, and just a poor company all around. For someone like me, my sales/service business relies heavy on customer service. I've provided 1000s of recommendations and referrals of vendors for roofing, plumbing, solar, electrical work and more over the last 20 years, and i can say that I will never recommend this company as their lack of customer service would reflect very poorly on me and my business. The last thing I would ever want to do is upset a client or customer as they are the backbone of any business.

Review Update: After…read moremy initial review, Eric (the sales rep) and Matt (the owner) of Sunline personally reached out to me and was apologetic about the situation. They sent Travis out promptly, who is their electrician where he found that the issue was resolved by replacing a faulty 40-amp breaker that was intermittently providing the necessary voltage, even though measurements initially appear correct. While the breaker issue caused real inconvenience and unexpected costs on my end, the owner was responsive and showed willingness to smooth things over to work toward a resolution. I also want to highlight that the panel upgrade and solar/battery installation itself was clean and well done. The workmanship that Eddie, Manny, Christian and Jamie performed had overall met my expectations, and once the issue was identified, Sunline did step in to correct it. No project is perfect, but how a company responds when problems arise matters a lot. In this case, Sunline's owner and Eric was engaged, responsive, and made a sincere effort to make things right. As an engineer, and after witnessing the symptoms and corrective actions firsthand, I believe the breaker issue was likely a manufacturing defect, and it was unfortunate that it occurred during the holidays. That said, based on how Sunline handled the situation, the overall quality of their work, and the value they offer, I would recommend them and plan to continue using them for future needs.

I initially reached out through their website and received a prompt response from Bruce, the owner. He's one of the rare solar professionals who truly cares about his customers rather than just making a sale. Chad, Ian, and the rest of the installation team did a meticulous job installing both the solar panels and batteries, all within a tight timeline. The quality of their work really shows--see the attached photos for yourself. As I'm writing this at night, my home is running entirely off the Enphase batteries with zero power being pulled from the grid, which really highlights how well the system is performing. Once contract was signed, we paid the 1st part of the invoice and was surprised to see the team at our house 3 days later with a truck full of panels and our Tesla Powerwall3!! Even more surprising was the fact these guys installed an entire 10kw system with conduit and powerwall in 1 day! It's rare to find a company that plans ahead for you and genuinely cares about getting it right -- we highly recommend SHS Power.

I had to underline May - there's no bar above that month because the house hasn't used any electricity from the grid since the day SHS switched on the system. Today, it was 90 degrees here in Escondido, CA. The AC was free all day and night, and I can set that thermostat anywhere I want! SHS was the 4th company to come out to the house and the only one that had the equipment brands I had heard about and that could move things along at a decent pace. They are a full-service energy company, not just solar and batteries. The company is veteran owned. When Blake first came to the house, I thanked him for his service. Blake, Nate, and Ralphy are incredible! They installed one 14kwh battery (See photo). Glad I didn't have to lift it! The whole system can go outside too. It was going to be too close to my trash cans so I asked for it to be inside. My home was built in 1993, and you wouldn't believe what a mess Ralphy had to sort out in the Challenger service panel (circuit breaker box). What a rat's nest. Now it's clean and tidy with all new breakers. They helped me avoid installing those "Solar Ready" panels for $4100. I had my heart set on EG4 electronics inverters and batteries. SHS knows that product like the back of their hands. The equipment is hardened against EMPs. I hope never to test that! But it feels good to have. And during power outages, my family will be comfortable with lights, intranet, and AC (until it "load sheds" at 50% battery remaining). I chose the best reviewed solar panel to put on the roof - REC Alpha Pure RX. Ridiculously performant. More than anyone needs to spend to get the job done, really. But SHS goes through all that... what panels make sense for you. Specs: 13 REC Alpha Pure RX 460-watt panels EG4 12kPV Inverter - 12k watts of solar handling, 8 kilowatts production at 240 volts, color LCD screen, remote monitoring EG4 14kWh all-weather battery SHS also does battery retrofits into existing systems, which can make a difference depending on what NEM agreement is in play. SHS took care of permitting, which I absolutely refuse to do. I can't stand working with the county.... makes me miserable. SHS just did all that, and fast!

There is liteterally a federal law that says using a third-party installer does not void a warranty, unless the original installer/manufacturer can prove that the third part directly caused the warranty issue. Their warranty tech said that the expansion was not installed correctly as the exisiting breaker for the PW3 should have been upsized; what a crock of shit since the expansion pack does not increase the peak load on the circuit rather it only doubles the stored power available. The system had been working normally for almost 2 months and then has randomly disabled DC inputs; most likely an electronics issue with the PW3. Sunlight will lie and deny at any cost. The worst part is that they initially installed conduit incorrectly. Then tried to refuse to come fix it even though I had pointed out the problem during the install. Then when they fixed the conduit they took my system offline becasue the wired it incorrectly. Then when they fixed the wiring issue they didn't install the main panel cover correctly and the cover interfers with the breakers. They do subpar work and then make up things about the work done by others to try and void your warranty. What a sleezeball company - avoid at any cost!!! Guess they are willing to roll the dice with a law suit on voiding the warranty!
