We are extremely grateful that our Sales representative Sam Johnson was there to provide us with great service from the beginning of the project to the end. Crystal Rojas kept us informed of the scheduling, financing and what step the project was in. When installation day came, we could not have had a better crew than Francisco's crew. On the hottest day of the summer his crew installed our solar panels and Powerwall with limited power interruptions. They cleaned up before they left leaving no trace of being there. During our final inspection Eric Rojas prepped the equipment for the final inspection. His attention to detail was instrumental in passing our inspection. Great service for a great price.

Currently I have multiple electricians verifying this. You cost me over $2000 due to loss of 30% tax credit for that upgrade and me having to dump $1000 to replace the zinsco breakers in a desperate effort to make it safer. I guess Anela didn't want to be bothered to get that approved by sdge Hector is the only bright spot of this job. Otherwise I regret you ever stepping in my home

Out of all the companies I contacted, San Diego Solar Install offered the best overall solar + battery package for the price. I initially reached out through their website and received a prompt response from Bruce, the owner. He's extremely personable, takes the time to answer every question, and genuinely addresses any concerns. He's one of the rare solar professionals who truly cares about his customers rather than just making a sale. Chad, Ian, and the rest of the installation team did a meticulous job installing both the solar panels and batteries, all within a tight timeline. The quality of their work really shows--see the attached photos for yourself. As I'm writing this at night, my home is running entirely off the Enphase batteries with zero power being pulled from the grid, which really highlights how well the system is performing. The other Yelp reviews definitely don't lie!

He knows his stuff and even used to teach college courses on solar back in the day. Another company had a rep come over and she didn't know jack about solar - she was mainly a realtor doing it as another income source. He gave both of us a great feeling and was competitively priced. We liked that he keeps things simple and just installs the best, didn't try to upsell us when he could've, and wasn't "salesy" or high-pressure. Glad we hired him. We've had the solar for months and still happy.

We had another company lined up to get our brand new solar installed that 100% dropped the ball. With the clock ticking on the tax rebate coming up we need our system installed NOW!! After a couple conversations and bit of back n forth on invoice I knew Clinton, Ross and his team were the guys I could trust to get the job done in time. Once contract was signed, we paid the 1st part of the invoice and was surprised to see the team at our house 3 days later with a truck full of panels and our Tesla Powerwall3!! Even more surprising was the fact these guys installed an entire 10kw system with conduit and powerwall in 1 day! So mind blown that one morning we were on the grid and later that day we were free of SDGE....WIN WIN!! Now....we are 8 days post install. The system has gotten approved and has its Permit to Operate! We have imported about $1.50 in power in over a week. We have exported about $3 in power in the same time. This company was a miracle worker in a time when we needed a miracle to get the 30% tax credit. Trust these guys....they will get your job done fast with quality and care.

We've now used SHS Power on two homes, and they nailed it both times…read more Home #1 (San Diego): They handled everything ... design, permits, and the full install of a Sol-Ark 15K with three Renon 16kWh batteries and an EG4 Chargeverter to add battery backup to our existing Enphase system. The work was so clean that the city inspector took photos to show his colleagues back at the office. The system has run flawlessly, and it was designed so I could expand it later ... which I did. Home #2 (Temecula): This time I wanted to do some of the work myself. I handled the racking and mounting of the equipment, and SHS did the other parts ... all the wiring and configuration of two EG4 FlexBoss 21 inverters, a GridBoss, and four 16kWh batteries for whole-home backup. Also, they consulted on the permitting and design... huge help. That flexibility is what really sets them apart. They'll do full turnkey if that's what you want, but they're also willing to work with homeowners who want to do some of their own labor or buy their own equipment. Most solar companies won't touch a job like that. Blake and his crew are awesome, local, honest, and their workmanship is top notch. Raphy knows his stuff. If you're in SoCal and doing solar and or batteries, these are your people.

I had called a few installers and talked with the usual door knocking suspects, but none of them took the time to explain the details, options, and costs as clearly as Blake did. The great thing about Blake is that he really enjoys designing systems that work well, fit your needs, and save you money. The other quotes I got felt like cookie cutter systems, usually too small, not specific to our needs, and quite expensive. All said and done, conservatively speaking, we save about $250/month. And we all know costs have gone up since then. SHS Power isn't a huge company and they're genuinely interested in finding the right solution for you. For example, they installed a smart car charger that charges our EV with excess solar generated. Normally, that power would be sent back to SDGE, but with NEM 3.0 it's really not worth the trouble. If it works for your schedule, it's a game changer. Finally, I've heard some horror stories about systems that were installed, but couldn't get passed by the inspectors. I was super impressed with Dominic's ability to know what the inspectors were looking for and how to "speak their language". Passed on the first go. It was a small detail rather than something that was a terrible never ending blocker. If you've ever had to deal with government inspections, you know what I'm talking about. Every member of the team was professional and knowledgeable, every step of the process was done well. I can't recommend the team at SHS Power highly enough. If you're even thinking about getting solar, call SHS Power.

His knowledge regarding both the solar products and roofing was exceptional. SunLies is now denying warranty because I had a third-party (tesla certified installer) install an…read moreexpansion pack on my system. There is liteterally a federal law that says using a third-party installer does not void a warranty, unless the original installer/manufacturer can prove that the third part directly caused the warranty issue. Their warranty tech said that the expansion was not installed correctly as the exisiting breaker for the PW3 should have been upsized; what a crock of shit since the expansion pack does not increase the peak load on the circuit rather it only doubles the stored power available. The system had been working normally for almost 2 months and then has randomly disabled DC inputs; most likely an electronics issue with the PW3. Sunlight will lie and deny at any cost. The worst part is that they initially installed conduit incorrectly. Then tried to refuse to come fix it even though I had pointed out the problem during the install. Then when they fixed the conduit they took my system offline becasue the wired it incorrectly. Then when they fixed the wiring issue they didn't install the main panel cover correctly and the cover interfers with the breakers. They do subpar work and then make up things about the work done by others to try and void your warranty. What a sleezeball company - avoid at any cost!!! Guess they are willing to roll the dice with a law suit on voiding the warranty!

I initially felt I wasn't communicated with enough but I know they were busy. I wanted my solar up and running before Dec 2025 and they did make it happen. Michael did the installation and was amazing. Here is my warning. IF they try to sell you EP Cube solar, there are two issues I am dealing with. 1. the fan turns on every morning, rain or shine at 6:15am. My battery is right outside my bedroom and wakes me up. It is how the system works and it can't and won't be changed. 2. the fan runs ALL day. It might stop for a short bit but basically it runs continually during the warm part of the day. 3. I am happy to report it is quiet at night. When I shared my experience and concerns with E Z, I was pretty much ghosted except by Max. Dealing with EP Cube support has been great. But it is what it is. AND finally, don't let them talk you out of Solar Insure - the company that will insure you system. I got amazing assistance from them while I was trying to understand the noise issue. I was "told" I didn't need it but it was the smartest thing I did. Good luck !
