As someone who relies on word-of-mouth reputation and customer service for my own personal business, this company fails across the board. 1) We had an issue with our solar panels so we called Solar Tech first thing in the morning. The phone operator told us we would get a call back from one of the techs later on that day. FIVE days went by before we even got a response back, and it was in the form of a text message asking us what problems we were having. If a customer is calling you for help, the last thing you should do is make them wait almost a week to get a response, and then have them explain to you what is wrong over text. Very poor professionalism. STRIKE 1. 2) The tech told us the next available appointment was 1 full week away, so not only did we wait FIVE full days for a text response, but we had to wait another full week for any resolution of service. STRIKE 2 3) The day of our appointment, thankfully, we had the first appointment of the day scheduled as we had a very busy day with other obligations so we were hoping to have everything completed by mid morning. After about 4 hours of the company no-show/no-call/no-text, we decided to call the company to find out the status of our appointment. We got a voicemail instead of someone live, so we left a message. A few hours later we finally got a call back saying someone will show up later that day. And they did finally show up at the very end of the workday. STRIKE 3 This was a very VERY disappointing experience. From poor follow up, poor customer service, and just a poor company all around. For someone like me, my sales/service business relies heavy on customer service. I've provided 1000s of recommendations and referrals of vendors for roofing, plumbing, solar, electrical work and more over the last 20 years, and i can say that I will never recommend this company as their lack of customer service would reflect very poorly on me and my business. The last thing I would ever want to do is upset a client or customer as they are the backbone of any business.

They sent Travis out promptly, who is their electrician where he found that the issue was resolved by replacing a faulty 40-amp breaker that was intermittently providing the necessary voltage, even though measurements initially appear correct. While the breaker issue caused real inconvenience and unexpected costs on my end, the owner was responsive and showed willingness to smooth things over to work toward a resolution. I also want to highlight that the panel upgrade and solar/battery installation itself was clean and well done. The workmanship that Eddie, Manny, Christian and Jamie performed had overall met my expectations, and once the issue was identified, Sunline did step in to correct it. No project is perfect, but how a company responds when problems arise matters a lot. In this case, Sunline's owner and Eric was engaged, responsive, and made a sincere effort to make things right. As an engineer, and after witnessing the symptoms and corrective actions firsthand, I believe the breaker issue was likely a manufacturing defect, and it was unfortunate that it occurred during the holidays. That said, based on how Sunline handled the situation, the overall quality of their work, and the value they offer, I would recommend them and plan to continue using them for future needs.

We liked that he keeps things simple and just installs the best, didn't try to upsell us when he could've, and wasn't "salesy" or high-pressure. Glad we hired him. SunLies is now denying warranty because I had a third-party (tesla certified installer) install an…read moreexpansion pack on my system. There is liteterally a federal law that says using a third-party installer does not void a warranty, unless the original installer/manufacturer can prove that the third part directly caused the warranty issue. Their warranty tech said that the expansion was not installed correctly as the exisiting breaker for the PW3 should have been upsized; what a crock of shit since the expansion pack does not increase the peak load on the circuit rather it only doubles the stored power available. The system had been working normally for almost 2 months and then has randomly disabled DC inputs; most likely an electronics issue with the PW3. Sunlight will lie and deny at any cost. The worst part is that they initially installed conduit incorrectly. Then tried to refuse to come fix it even though I had pointed out the problem during the install. Then when they fixed the conduit they took my system offline becasue the wired it incorrectly. Then when they fixed the wiring issue they didn't install the main panel cover correctly and the cover interfers with the breakers. They do subpar work and then make up things about the work done by others to try and void your warranty. What a sleezeball company - avoid at any cost!!! Guess they are willing to roll the dice with a law suit on voiding the warranty!

I wanted my solar up and running before Dec 2025 and they did make it happen. Michael did the installation and was amazing. Here is my warning. IF they try to sell you EP Cube solar, there are two issues I am dealing with. 1. the fan turns on every morning, rain or shine at 6:15am. My battery is right outside my bedroom and wakes me up. It is how the system works and it can't and won't be changed. 2. the fan runs ALL day. It might stop for a short bit but basically it runs continually during the warm part of the day. 3. I am happy to report it is quiet at night. When I shared my experience and concerns with E Z, I was pretty much ghosted except by Max. Dealing with EP Cube support has been great. But it is what it is. AND finally, don't let them talk you out of Solar Insure - the company that will insure you system. I got amazing assistance from them while I was trying to understand the noise issue. I was "told" I didn't need it but it was the smartest thing I did. Good luck !

This is the beginning of summer and now we need to pay our utility extra to power our home. When we bought the system, we were impressed with the sales personnel responding to our text and email so quickly. They also had good reviews. At the time we were new to buying a solar energy system, so we were nervous about choosing the right company. We also wanted to take advantage of the federal credit, so weren't as diligent as we normally would be. Three weeks ago, our system stopped working. We called customer service and filed a request for service. I received an email saying that they would look into the problem and get back to us in 24 hours. Another red flag is that a ticket number was never offered and didn't know it existed. Later on, I learned this was needed for tracking. A day passed and all we heard were crickets. I responded to the email after 24 hours. Crickets. In fact, looking at all email conversations with customer service, not once did they respond to my requests for status. When I called two days later. They said they would submit it to the project team. We are starting over? Again, 24 hours of crickets. I called again and finally got connected with someone that looked into the problem only to be told that I needed to turn on Service Mode on the app so they could monitor the system. Ok, I probably could have known that, but seriously they could have reminded me of this almost a week earlier on the first call. Another 24 hours passed, more crickets. I then recruited my wife to help with this problem, and we made another phone call. She asked for a supervisor, and we were promised one would call us the next day, but you know what, we got crickets. After 48 hours after my wife's call the system was operating. We have no clue who or how it was fixed. An email requesting information about the cause and resolution was only answered by crickets. The system worked for 6 days then failed. Again, I tried calling customer service. Same response as the first call, an email and crickets. Standard form emails, "It was a pleasure speaking with you today..." or "I am very pleased I was able to assist you...". It's not service it's a system for delaying service. So basically, it turns out customer service is actually an answering service. I found out there was no way to directly contact the company. When we asked for a supervisor, we got an answering service supervisor. If we knew how poor customer service was and how difficult it was for Semper to honor the warranty commitments, we would have chosen another company. The latest is that they determined an onsite visit was needed, not just virtual monitoring. Via email they sent a response that they couldn't reach my wife. My wife didn't catch the call but instead got the voice message "Press 1 for this... Press 2 for this ... " . Of course, this is the second time this has happened to us. Rather than try multiple times to call us and make contact the issue resolution stops with an email from them and no response to our email, as well as, us calling customer service and continuing the run around. Again more emails and customer service interaction. Finally, the latest is we received a call from an account manager at Semper. She took down some information and said she would call back with an appointment date and time for the onsite visit. She did say she would try to make an appointment sooner. She called back within 5 minutes with a date and time. After a month we finally will get someone onsite. And who knows how much longer it is if replacement parts must be ordered and installed. To get to this point it took a lot of assertive discussions about lawsuits. Lesson about our journey with solar: 1) Before you sign the contract make sure you have all the contact information of the owner (email, phone, cell) or an actual supervisor you can escalate an issue when customer service fails you. 2) Get at least three quotes. 3) Do your homework. It's very hard to compare systems because each will offer a different product. What's most important is maximum kwH of solar power it can generate (perfect conditions) and the kwH battery capacity. 4) Fight for 1.5 capacity for panels and battery. This permission must be requested from the utility company (EV will completely drain your home battery, especially if you have more than one). Afterwards upgrades are less cost effective. 5) re-read this review and ask the company you hire how they would do things differently if you need to exercise the warranty.

Gabe made us feel comfortable with our decision, gave us all the information we wanted, and actually drove out to our house multiple times to chat when we had additional questions and concerns. Is Aloha a smaller company, yes, but will Gabe answer your call when needed, yes! Fast forward install happened within a couple weeks of signing the deal. Minas was the head installer it seemed (all people are internal employees with Aloha and work is NOT contracted out, that was a big seller for us), and two other guys Rigo and Matt. All were super nice and very professional. Minas walked me through everything at the end, and major bonus points once he installed the piping going from battery to roof, he asked if I had paint that matched the exterior of my house. I did, and he then painted all of the piping! I know he did not have to do that, so that was a fantastic touch.
