She asked us how our ideal kitchen would look like. WE chatted, she sketched, measured and she was off to the drawing board. In a few days she emailed a plan and made some suggestions which we agreed to and the project was underway. We went to the showroom to choose style and accessories. We weren't sold on the colors available but Jennifer quickly came up with a resolution. She was able to match a sherwin williams color we loved and have applied to cabinets. The cabinets arrived, were installed in a day. We were truly happy for the extreme facelift they gave to this faceless kitchen. They were able to add functionality and space without compromising the age and style of an older home. The sales staff was gracious, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The installers were efficient, friendly and thorough. Competitive pricing and consistently efficient customer service. I highly recommend.

I was barred from entering the show room until I told the (very rude) receptionist why I was there! When I explained what I was looking for I was told "we don't have that" and then she proceeded to turn around and deal with someone else who apparently deserved attention more. I asked another employee where the sinks were located and I was shooed away and told "over there" as she gestured to an entire side of the showroom. Every time I ran into an employee here I was not asked if I needed help, I wasn't even greeted or smiled at - instead I was given a smug "smile" if you could call it that and was asked to move out of the way. I have been to many high end design showrooms with price points much higher than Ferguson and have never been treated like this. I understand that making an appointment is the ideal way of doing business, however there needs to be a way to accommodate customers without treating them like trash. Whoever is in charge of the sales floor - I hope you read this and I hope some changes are made.

Upscale options and tremendous variety abound! But when you're not visiting just to gawk, and you're genuinely attempting to assemble components for your soon-to-be refurbished home bathrooms, you begin to see the shortcomings of Ferguson. Despite numerous employees, forget anyone helping you because you'll soon discover that all the other customers have "made a reservation." Okay, that's an easy issue to solve in the future. Without a "reservation" we were encouraged to scan QR codes for each display to determine available finishes, prices, and measurements. But not even the most modern phones could scan the world's tiniest QR codes throughout the store. The lighting is odd within the store, so significant that you cannot clearly determine whether the color or finish you're considering would look appropriate in your bathroom at home. All of their competitor's stores are sufficiently lit. As we looked for a top to our bathroom vanity, we learned Ferguson doesn't sell vanity tops. They only sell the entire vanity. We have seven-foot-long bathroom vanities in all of our bathrooms like everyone else in our neighborhood does. It's not unusual. However, Ferguson's vanities apparently max out at six feet, so this was obviously no use to us. And don't even get us started on how convoluted the Ferguson website is! We ended up designing our two remodeled bathrooms at a different store.

My dad was tickled pink at the stuff she was saying. I loved that she was genuinely helpful with her recommendations and not just trying to sell the costliest items, and I also think she was just a real sweet person. We ended up buying a roasting pan, which was a fantastic discount ($210 instead of $315) , and a small 3.5qt dutch oven at 40% off. Those were holiday sales and won't last through the new year, but I'm glad we caught them anyway. I think in terms of the other stuff, it wasn't the craziest discounts ($2 off here, $3 off there type thing). But I do think that the stuff that has a deal active is usually a pretty hefty deal. Just keep in mind that they don't have all the colorways!

Ultimately, I decided to come back later when someone else in a better mood could help me, and as I was walking out the door, she rolled her eyes. She was very cold and very bothered to have to answer my questions. I'm giving two stars because when I was in there last week to buy several pieces, the woman that helped me was incredibly kind and answered my questions with no problem. In fact, she talked me into buying two pieces that totaled over $600 that I had not planned to buy. I think your sales will be much better at this store if you can train Paige not to act like a drill sergeant when customers come in. This was a horrible experience.

Planning a massive home renovation, this Cool Springs megastore of 80,000 square feet was recommended to us by the builders. Needing floor tile, shower tile, and pool tile, we scoured Floor & Decor for two consecutive days seeking the right combination of colors and textures. Each option was well labeled including the tile name, the recommended grout color used in the display, and whether or not it would suffice as a shower floor, pool tile, wall only, or floor only. These are not clearly labeled at competitor stores. What we found during our search were helpful employees who were available without being intrusive, a designer who assisted with the aesthetic layout of our project, and endless choices of tile from high-end to ultra-affordable. Ultimately, we found the perfect combination of upscale tile that brought our home and pool to life!

It could withstand anything. Right?! Slam on the breaks. "Go back, go back", I yell to him from the kitchen. "Hurry up". Did I hear right? Oh my gosh! I did! BB&B is opening! In Nashville. Rejoice! It had to be divine intervention. We just happened to be driving to Nashville on grand opening day. I convinced my driver (ok, my husband) to leave early enough so we could stop on our way to the airport. It took us almost 3 hours to make the trek from Huntsville to Brentwood. We'll stop on our way home he promised. On the way home, our flight was delayed two hours. I swallowed my disappointment because I knew it was going to be 4 more, long weeks until I headed back up to Nashville. Finally, today was that day! We left extra early, I wasn't about to let construction traffic mess up another chance of going to what I once thought was my long lost favorite store. We made it. I nearly skipped into the store - quite a feat since I'm in a walking boot for a broken foot! I couldn't restrain myself - I gushed to the first employee that I ran into how truly excited I was. She looked at me like I had a third eye in the middle of my forehead. She obviously was well past the excitement that I felt this glorious day. I walked around the store, gently touching, lovingly touching the knick-knacks. The pillows. The pumpkin shaped candles. The cookware. But then that was it. My lip quivered a little when I realized that's all there was. The 50 shades of towels, the 29 types of bed pillows, the rows and rows of kitchen tools, even the 21 varieties of k-cups. Not there. No agonizing over vanilla latte or exotic chai. No 10 minutes of contemplating burgundy versus maroon. Barely any choices at all. Bed Bath and Beyond was now a mashup of a small Kirkland's and a tiny Home Goods store. I did find a toilet paper holder that I wanted. There was a big sign outside that said that they still accept Bed Bath and Beyond coupons. What they mean are those relics found under the car seat. Those with grease marks from stray French fries. The ones with the torn corners and blotches of things I'd rather not know about. What they don't mean is BB&B online coupons. The online BB&B is apparently not the same store. I left my find at the register, I just couldn't bring myself to buy something at Bed Bath & Beyond without a coupon. It was just ingrained in me. My skip was replaced by a little limp as I walked back to the car. I quietly buckle my seat belt, adjust my sunglasses and restart my Waze app. With a defeated, nearly inaudible voice, I ask, "where do you want to stop for lunch, babe?"
