TO ALL JOB SEEKERS: Don't Walk Away--RUN…read more Let's start with the megalodon in the room, the CEO. Case and point, the most recent Glassdoor review is so abundantly and obviously written by him or one of his "colleagues." No one, even when leaving the best review of a company, would say, "Hard work doesn't go unnoticed here--people who consistently show up, contribute, and take ownership tend to thrive," except for a CEO or upper management team member who wants to control the narrative. That's exactly what that review is a blatant example of--an attempt to CONTROL. That's all he does: patronize, manipulate, build up just to immediately break you right back down. If you want a role where you feel valued for your work and can progress, this ain't it, fam. This is a toxic nonstop interrogation about what you're doing and why your work even matters. Micromanagement much? A few other CEO highlights, as mentioned in various reviews on their Glassdoor page--plus more: ~Talks about intimate topics in his relationships ~When faced with the reviews that mention a lack of diversity (which is 1000% TRUE and intentional) he stated that he is Native American and loves diversity. Regardless of if this is true or not... ~Holds all company meetings after bad reviews to tell everyone "no one really thinks this..." --crickets... ~Known to fire and lay off individuals who are on parental leave--as mentioned in other reviews ~Hires nearly anyone off the street based on vibes, regardless of skill or experience ~Contacts employees while on PTO, at night, and/or during weekends and holidays ~Regular gaslighting of employees about their work (but, hey: "hard work doesn't go unnoticed here"), right? Also, regular gaslighting about professional relationships--see review from May 18th on Glassdoor about supposed "feedback" coming from people you don't even work with. Enough about the CEO. Let's move on to the whale shark in the room. The management at this company is nonexistent. In a fast-paced digital marketing world, the lack of quality management professionals at this "organization" is laughable. But, hey! You can carve your own path! Really? Well, sort of, we all have degrees in nepotism and will promote key "young professionals" in the "organization" who are in the CEO's inner-most sanctum. Good luck and happy stagnation! If you've made it this far in the review, you probably get the gist by now. If not, please take a long hard look at what you want from your next opportunity: ~Good pay? There's better (much better) ~Benefits? See above ^^^ ~A variety of clients and projects? Sure, but again, this agency is a dinosaur compared to others in literally every other department mentioned, so keep looking. ~Work-life balance? Potentially, at one point, if there's a different CEO who's not digging through time logs and interrogating his workforce. If you do work at TriMark, don't bother pushing too hard, though--it's quite certain it will not be seen, nor acknowledged. ~Work from home? Yes. Don't bother going in every day if you're hired. Doesn't make a difference on your growth at the company. In summary, if you're looking for some amazing agency work experience, please keep looking. A variety of clients can be found at thousands of other agencies much better than this one. You deserve so much more. TriMark doesn't deserve 95% of the people there. This included a new logo, revised content, and site design. The creative team was great as we worked together to come up with a design/logo that exceeded my expectations. They were able to breath new life into our brand. The feedback we have gotten from our clients has been remarkable. Not every agency is for everyone, but for me TriMark Digital is it! My experience with colamarch has been disappointing. I feel the effort applied to our campaign has been on the low side. One example. When putting together the landing pages it looks like they simple cut and pasted the Ad copy from somebody else account. It contained many things that we do not offer. We were also paying for a lot of low value keywords words that should have been setup as "negative keywords". you would think by focusing on our industry this would have been done to perfection. Finally, I feel their management fee structure is expensive. They charge 15% on every dollar spent on Ads. Most companies include a certain Ad spend in the base monthly fee. Once you go over, you then start getting charged. They also charge 15% on your Local Service Ads spend as well. This is crazy, since there is nothing to manage in Local Service Ads. That's the whole purpose of Local Service Ads. It requires no ongoing management - unlike Google Ads. All this really increases your cost per conversion since you have to add these fee's to your Ad spend.
