Got home to frozen flowers delivered. Outside weather was below freezing and flowers were left in covered on my porch. Them when the deliver car was backing out of my driveway, they went off the side amd gpt stuck. I got home yo frozen flowers and large ruts in my front yard. I called and talked to 3 different people all saying they would take care of it. Nothing done for a long tome. Then out of the blue i get another flower delivery and an apology card with a phone number to call to get help. I called the cell phone several times leaving a message and also texted the number. My son ordered flowers from DBG for Mother's Day. They were of really poor quality. There were several white roses in the arrangement that were brown at the base of the bud. These petals fell off immediately. The other flowers did not look fresh. I contacted the business but there was no answer, had to leave a message where I told them the problem and asked for them to contact me. The flowers delivered to me on Mother's Day were not as ordered by my son - and were a cheaper disappointing arrangement. The Rose and Lily celebration he ordered arrived with ZERO lily's! There were also no red roses, alstroemeria or wax flowers! The four pink roses included are wilted on day one. This florist replaced pricier flowers with mums and carnations. RUDE DELIVERY DRIVER!! My employer ordered me flowers after loosing my mother. The Driver went to the wrong entry and I told him how he would be able to get to the correct entrance. For some reason he got mad at me because HE went to the wrong entrance. When he finally came to the correct entry, I told him that I would buzz him in. (He wasn't aware that his headset did not disconnect from the call) I heard him say, "Come get the shit yourself". It was completely uncalled for that driver to be so rude because he went to the wrong place. My birthday was last week which was....not ideal. Ha. But my mom did her best to make my day feel special, which included an order of flowers that was fulfilled by Designs by Guzzardos. It was a beautiful yellow and white arrangement with roses that was delivered full and fresh. It brought some much needed sunniness to our shelter in place experience. It's been 9 days since the flowers were delivered and they're still stunning. They look as though it was the first day. I don't know that I've ever had a bouquet last this long. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from DBG, ordered through 1800flowers, but it's DBG giving the awful service. I ordered flowers on July 6 for delivery on July 23. On the delivery day, I received a text that the flowers were on the way and would be left at the specified location. However, they never arrived. Attempts to reach the shop by phone went unanswered. Conveniently they texted that delivery was on the way right before closing time for the day so of course no one would answer. The next day, I called at 11 am and was told the delivery was on the road, and a manager would contact me--no one did. I called again around 3 pm and was told the same thing, but no one knew what happened to the original delivery. There was no attempt to rectify the situation. The flowers finally arrived on July 24, a day late. This kind of service is unacceptable, and I will not be using DBG again. I ordered flowers for my friend's funeral through Teleflora. They assigned my order to Designs by Guzzardo's. What I selected was substituted. I guess because they didn't have the plant I wanted. I understand that. However, the Peace Lily they sent looked terrible!!! It was so small and the white Lily had dead patches on it. And even some of the leaves were turning under. I was so embarrassed and dismayed. The plant looked like something I could have dug up myself or bought at the grocery store for $15.99. This was terrible service and an embarrassment to me and my family. It's bad enough that I have to grieve my friend, but her family couldn't even have something nice from us. Very disappointing. Delivery issue so flowers came a week late and there was still a problem. Seems like it was the original arrangement because most flowers were dried, crispy and dead. No thought into the design. Looked like a grocery store arrangement (which is fine but not for florist prices) and just stuck in an ugly vase. Two thin pieces of curling ribbon were tied around the vase for a "designer" look. Emailed the florist but no reply. Obviously they choose to ignore problems. Flowers were ordered by my daughter as a Mother's Day gift on an online site. My dear friend surprised me with a floral arrangement as I just lost my father. I was moved to tears by her thoughtfulness but then felt horrible (for her really) because she shelled out a lot of money - trust me, this is the 'large' arrangement - for about $100 of blooms that had clearly been arranged in a pitch black room by a toddler wearing oven mitts. However, it was after closing time for the florist so I just focused on the lovely gesture and thanked my friend and promised a picture later. Day 2 - Call to the florist. Surly - them, not me. I explained my predicament and asked that they please make a replacement delivery and 'Oh, by the way, could you re-print the card that I wanted save with the correct three letter spelling of her very common name????????' Day 2/Part 2 - Delivery arrives. They leave it at my apartment door and book it out of there - perhaps sensing my growing discontent. But hey, it's a pandemic - everyone's survival skills are on high alert, and rightly so. Looking down at the arrangement on the floor in the hallway I was delighted. I quickly (well, for my age) came back in and excitedly sanitized my hands, Lysol'ed the door knob, and began opening the 'Replacement Arrangement of Death.' Upon unwrapping there must be a good 8" of stems and dead leaves extended from the top of the vase (let's pronounce is 'vahz' in effort to breathe some life into this saga) before any flowers made their appearance. Clearly - in their attempt to salvage some profit margin - they made this arrangement with their floor clippings from the same general area of the color wheel as the first one. Foliage - dead. Filler - dead.Flowers - well, they will probably be dead tomorrow if the color of the water is any indication. (Flashes of Flint going on in that 'vahz.' Hopes that I would have an arrangement suitable to photograph and send to my sweet 3-letter named friend - dead. I refuse to call that florist back. To me they are, you guessed it - dead. Day 2/Part 2 - Spent 20 minutes on the phone with 1-800-FLOWERS asking them to please, if they value their business in this area at all, to quit using Designs by Guzzardos. I felt terrible that my friend had obviously spent a good deal of time, thought, effort, and money to cheer me up and make me feel special. I certainly didn't want them giving her a refund because then she would know what happened and that would be the worst. Well, 1-800-FLOWERS had me wait (which I didn't mind doing once I got an actual person - that took about 10 highly irritating minutes) while they placed an order with another florist who will deliver tomorrow. Day 2/Part 3 you ask? No, there isn't one yet and hopefully there isn't one. I genuinely hope I can come back with a great update as to how this story ends and leave a fantastic Yelp review for that florist. In the meantime my tiny apartment smells like a funeral home. I look forward to ditching this nonsense I currently have and enjoying what I was meant to receive. And disclaimer - I am not one to complain myself. These are two days old sad I wish they could've lasted a little longer for the price. The vase is gorgeous. I got a box of candy with it which usually runs about $25 that candy was 90% caramel which I hate I threw the candy away. No control. I received 2 arrangements in the space of 4 days from Guzzardo's and both were dead within 2 days. In addition to the flowers dying quickly, the arrangements were put together in a haphazard manner - looked like someone grabbed a bunch of flowers shoved them in a vase and delivered them. They were smashed with dead buds dropping off as the cellophane was removed. I tried contacting Guzzardo's and have not received the courtesy of a return call or email. What are the chances of 2 arrangements - with separate and distinct flowers - dying within 2 days of delivery? I feel so bad that someone spent their money on these arrangements. I selected flowers based on her wedding colors and what was delivered was something totally different. Guzzardos made and delivered the arrangement. I made a complaint directly with 1-800-flowers and was happily surprised when they redelivered the flowers with a bouquet much closer to what I had purchased the first time. BEWARE!!! Danger!!! This place does not care for their flowers correctly. Horrible flower arrangement, bad on day 1 and worse the next day. Not only were the daisies old and wilted, the yellow fern-type accent flowers turned brown the next day and the baby's breath wilted and fell off. There were green leaf type accent pieces that were cut 5 inches long for the 12 inch vase. It appeared that they just grabbed some scrapes from the trash! I called the Designs By Guzzardos and the woman on the other end was rude and said she could do nothing because I did not call the same day that the flowers arrived, LOL. I received beautiful fresh flowers from "Thrifty Flowers" on the same day and they look as fresh as they did (when I received them) on my birthday. I take great care of my flowers and they are always beautiful (except these from Designs By Guzzardos), Visitors to my home are always impressed that my fresh cut flowers last for weeks. My husband bought an expensive bouquet of flowers on Valentine's Day this year for me. Not only did they arrive with broken lillies and roses, they died in LESS THAN 24 hours even though I trimmed and added flower food to the vase. My mom sent me a photo and the most prominent flower in the vase was a large lily that had crushed and broken petals. I asked my mom to send me a copy of the card so I could find out who the florist was. It is surprising that they would put out this product. This was not a cheap bouquet. My husband discovered it around 8 p.m. and when I removed the cellophane wrap one flower and 3 buds fell out. The lilies were all damaged/bruised and the roses were losing petals.
