I wish there were more than 5 stars I could give Absolutely You Special Events. I had my wedding this September, and when I met Des at the Queen Mary bridal show it was a lucky day for me! From the first time I sat down with Des to go over my wedding plans, I knew right away I was in good hands. From there she helped me create the wedding of my dreams AND stay within my budget!! - and I am a very picky and "organized"/Type A - she handled all my concerns and did everything she could to be sure I felt in the loop and that everything was handled. She is an amazing and talented person, who took my ideas to a whole new level and came up with even more ways to build on the ideas and turn our day into the most beautiful event I have ever seen. The feathered arrangements, the crystals dripping from every column, the BEAUTIFUL bouquet (I have never seen a more beautiful flower arrangement) it was like I was on a Hollywood movie set - and was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Everyone was in awe of the centerpieces and table set up at the reception. She handled everything with such ease. I also used her Day of Service, without her I would have been a wreck - since the venue 'coordinator' was no where to be found on my wedding day THANK GOODNESS FOR ABSOYOU! She made sure all my vendors were in place, and kept track of my guests and wedding party - she made sure we had food and drinks since we didn't make it to the cocktail hour and we were able to enjoy a little "bridal party time" prior to the reception. Des kept me sane and was always available by phone/email or text day and night, all the months leading up to the event - then when 2 weeks before the wedding I had to find a new make up artist for my bridesmaids - and I was freaking out.. I called des at 9pm at night and told her the dilemma. Within 2 hours she had someone booked for me who did an amazing job. YOU MUST USE ABSOLUTELY YOU! You will be sorry if you don't! Beyond everything else, Des makes you feel like you are the most important person in her world, making sure everything is just as you like it. I consider her not just a vendor/service but a friend. We had an Oktoberfest engagement party, a Monte Carlo Masquerade Ball (co-ed) for my bridal shower, a Disney themed bachelorette in Big Bear with a band, over the top decor, games, and 4 cabins full of women, and of course our wedding weekend too, which was a 3 day extravaganza! Where do I begin? I could not have done my wedding without the help of Desiree Carol Special Events. Desiree was so helpful throughout my whole wedding process. She always responded fast to emails and answered any questions I had. She had great ideas and suggestions. I think she went above and beyond. As the mother of the bride, there is always too much to do. Not so when Desiree Carol Special Events handles your wedding. Pretty much all I had to do was write the checks and enjoy the most gorgeous wedding ever! Imagine a late afternoon wedding, outside, waterfront, planned over a year prior. But this particular weekend it happens to be right in the middle of a torrential downpour. No problem, Desiree moves the ceremony inside, beautifully decorated, gets extra flooring last minute when the water seeps under the tents for the reception and even manages to figure out seating and food when over 20 extra people show up unexpectedly!
