They have nice size rooms to host baby showers, bridal showers, weddings, birthdays, & family reunions. It is beautiful and your decor can be built up to your taste. They also have a fitness center with really decent equipment. They offer fitness classes like Zumba... They have a walking trial and also offer swim classes. This is great for the indoor pool that they have. You will always have some kind of league playing Basketball at their courts. It also offers a great summer camps for kids who are out from school. The place is always clean and you can really find a great deal on monthly membership for their fitness center.

The grand hall overlooks a lake and features beautiful floor to ceiling windows allowing us to take in the outdoor views. Plenty on space for the small wedding, cocktail hour, and reception. Lancaster residents, you guys are lucky to have such beautiful venue in your own backyards!

There are also a lot of other things to do in this are now, so before or after we can go to the Epic Indoor Water Park or go play pickle ball at Chicken N Pickle. Great walking/running track inside. Lots of work out equipment/machines. Cross fit and other group fitness classes. Open basketball courts. Rooms for your company to have meetings in or to have a birthday party in. There are also art classes and a recording studio, just to list a couple other things you can take advantage of. Staff is really nice and helpful. Lots of parking as well. Get a membership here and take advantage of the many things you can do here. Support your city facilities to help better yourself!

Our only complaints, some staff are unable to answer our questions & point us to the website, which wasn't able to answer our question to start with... for example, one of the main reasons we joined, after visiting in person, was the summer camp. We went home to join & register online, as was suggested by staff (versus registering in person at the facility), to find out the summer camps were already full. You can't tell that the camps are full online, until you've already purchased a membership. Staff should have had knowledge of camps being at full capacity & been able to tell us that information during our tour of the facility. A plus for us, the family swim hours, swim lessons, & family changing areas. We also love the indoor walking track.

I…read morebring my younger son to the gym so he can play basketball, but the courts are often dominated by older men who take up the space for extended periods of time. Unfortunately, things frequently get heated, with verbal exchanges and behavior that feels like it could escalate into physical altercations. In the six weeks I've been coming here, at least four of those weeks have involved some type of incident on the basketball court that caused people to rush over to address an issue. This has made the environment feel unsafe, especially for children. I do not feel comfortable allowing my son to be in the facility without me present. Today was especially disappointing. Our side of the court was following the rules and not involved in any issue, yet we were told to leave because the gym was closing 10 minutes early. A manager approached us abruptly without any apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience, which felt very disrespectful. The gym itself remained open, but the entire court was shut down, and there was no advance notice of the closure. I did speak with the manager, who stated this is their policy whenever there is an altercation. However, given how frequently these situations occur, this policy feels poorly managed and unfair to members who are not involved in any wrongdoing. Additionally, the overall customer service has been lacking. Very few staff members appear welcoming or engaged, and the experience today highlighted a lack of professionalism and empathy toward members. I would like to enjoy the services this gym offers, but the recurring altercations, lack of communication, inconsistent enforcement of rules, and poor customer service make it difficult to feel safe or valued as a member.

In addition to exercise, the rec is always buzzing with community activities like arts festivals, kids karate classes and Senior dance lessons. You can also rent space there for parties and family gatherings at a really low rate. The only drawbacks would be the weekend hours (they don't open until 1pm on Sundays) but I can deal with that given the dollars saved by switching our gym membership to the rec center.

The basketball court was active and well maintained, and it's convenient having the nearby Duncanville Recreation Center right next to the park for even more activities. The bathrooms were open and clean during our visit, which definitely makes family outings easier. There's plenty of space to walk, relax, picnic, and let kids burn off energy. Overall, Armstrong Park is a fun and welcoming community park with a good mix of recreation, scenery, and family-friendly amenities

At one time it was populated by the working class. One of my acquaintances and peripheril friends was Stevie Ray Vaughn. We went to the same elementary and High School. This park was a " Hang out" back in the day. Now,I didn't do much hanging out here and I'm not sure about Stevie. I do know his childhood home is right down the street. So possibly when the City of Dallas decided to honor Stevie and his brother Jimmy,Kiest park was a good place to do it. Last September which would have been Stevie's 67 th birthday,a memorial steel art sculpture depicting Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jimmy Vaughn was dedicated here. Stevie was a great musician taken from us way too soon. I think the City did a great job remembering him with this surprisingly good steel sculpture. If you're in Dallas,it's definitely worth the trip. If you are a Stevie Ray fan, it's a must do. Go!

Upon our arrival there was no greeting, nor did she offer any assistance as we waited 20 minutes to start our reservation process. There were also other customers who came in for assistance. She did not assist them as well but rather carried on a conversation with other employees and walked around the office. 30 minutes within our visit we finally received assistance from another employee on staff who was much more hospitable.

My oldest went from zero interest in basketball to 100% in the summer of 2025. As he is 13 he needed to catch up in a short amount of time. The coaches are just what he needed to buckle down and dig in. My son has improved so much in just 2.5 months. Before that he was in private training in Irving. Not only has his game improved but his attitude! He hustles in all things and isn't entitled like he was. He now realizes things that are worth anything, require hard work and dedication-I give credit to this place for my son being advanced to the highest band in his school midyear...he is percussion so not the easiest task. They're not going to baby you. They are honest, tough, and fair. Which I appreciate. Tell me a hard truth than a pretty lie. If that's not your thing this place won't be for you. If you have the dedication and grit this place will be your happy place!!!

For a recent tournament, not only were they charging entry $25 cash or $30 credit, they also charged $5.75 for card-only parking. The restroom weren't well maintained during the tournament either. They do have a big concession stand and cafe but pricing there is just as high. $10 for a Body Armor water and juice and, $18 for chicken tenders and fries.
