I am a very involved parent (nice way of saying I can be a real b*****) and I have NEVER had a bad experience. Reflecting on my 10 years of experience with this location, has there been a billing issue? Sure, mistakes happen. Have they given me an attitude about it? NO, they look into the problem and correct it. Do I sometimes come with 1,001 questions about my kids teeth? Yes, and they've always answered them. Have I ever been late for an appointment? Yes, and on those few times they've always tried to accommodate. BUT, I would call to tell them I'd be running late and let's be honest - the owner is running a business and just because our lives are running a little hectic doesn't me the whole world stops for us. You being late cuts into someone else's time. What if it was your time someone else was cutting into. My children are not perfect. My son has vasovagal syncope which made having a cavity filled real fun (NOT), needed braces, and doesn't brush well. My daughter is a mouth breather (doing damage to her teeth), has needed a tongue tie procedure, and has already had a cavity filling. At every NEW dental/personal experience in my children's lives, KIDDSMILES has been right there supporting them every step of the way- making them feel safe and loved. They've accommodated us whenever possible when asking for the family room (both your children seem at the same time or sometimes one at a time but together in the same room). Have they ever run behind? Yes, what business that deals with emergencies hasn't??? - name one and I'd call you a liar! I read an article somewhere that shared the owner's dental experience as a child and I said to myself, "Yes! Me too! I also had horrible dental experiences growing up." Let me tell you, Saturday's is always super packed and the earliest appt date we got was a month later for a 12:15pm Saturday appt. The workers are very friendly, reception was awesome and my daughter loved the wooden car you sit in while waiting. The wait time wasn't too bad to be seen and it was a good thing I filled out my first time patient forms already by printing it out from their website. There were a few more pages that wasn't online but it was on their high tech iPad and it was quick. We were escorted to one of the private rooms with the dental chair and Frozen was playing but it was on top facing down for anyone sitting in the chair to watch. Since my daughter was a toddler and only needed a cleaning we didn't get to watch the movie. We waited about 5 minutes for the dentist to actually come and see us which I wished was a little sooner because my daughter was getting restless and didn't want to stay on my lap on the dentist chair like they told us to do. The cleaning itself was quick and painless. My daughter was crying for a minute from not knowing what was going on but Dr. Kathy Kim did a great job calming her down with her low tone of voice and being gentle but efficient and quick. She told us exactly what we needed to know and asked if we had anymore questions but she answered everything already. Great pointers! Btw the parking lot was packed when we drove by but found plenty of street parking right outside. Way better than parking in the lot waiting for a spot. I really recommend this place and can't wait for the next appt in 6 months.

The staff there are wonderful, from the front desk to the dental assistants. There are even TVs mounted to the ceiling that are hooked up to their computers, allowing them to play a variety of kids movies so that the little ones are distracted with Lego Batman or Minions rather than the dentist picking are their teeth. The office also sees adults, so if you are nervous about getting a treatment maybe they can put on a movie for you too ^_~ .

Myself has bad teeth and I had to go to see the dentists often since I was a kid, and every visit was such an ordeal. Not only it is painful experience, but it is also an expensive experience. I felt like I am spending money to experience pain. The sound of electric drill makes my body cringe. And now my son unfortunately like me has bad teeth too. I took him to a pediatric dentist before and he hated it and I totally understood it because I hated too when I was a kid. The unpleasant experience plus my inherited bias against dentist, making me a little paranoid of taking myself to see a dentist, but my son badly need a dentist. I was referred by a friend of mine who had taken her kids to Dr. Hwang and highly recommended her. I was skeptical but made an appointment. The receptionist was very patient with my grueling questions. Everyone is so friendly and caring, they made me and son relaxed which I never experienced in other dental offices. Dr. Hwang is very gentle, sweet, patient and knowledgeable, she made the painful experience much bearable. My son came out of the clinic said "it was not too bad" comparing to "I will never come back here again!" from the visit to another pediatric dentist. I will recommend this place to anyone!
