But when i went to Woodside Smile Dental and met Dr. Sal and the rest of the staff who were all very accommodating and friendly, that i had my tooth taken out, i was so happy that it was done nicely and painless. i highly recommended this dental office. Today was my first visit at Woodside Smile Dental. I am absolutely thrilled I made the switch to this practice. The girls at the reception desk were warm and welcoming. The hygienist, Yaquelin, was phenomenal. I have never had such a thorough cleaning. I usually dread having my teeth cleaned, but she was so gentle and it was painless! Yaquelin also took my x-rays and got everything organized for the dentist. I was very impressed by how thoroughly they reviewed my overall health history, recent surgeries, medications, allergies and special concerns. Dr. Scorsese reviewed my films and we talked about the overall health of my teeth and gums. Luckily, everything is good and I just have two small fillings which I will have attended to next week. Dr. Lee is also very professional and reassuring. Everyone at the office takes their time and gives you their full attention. It is difficult finding good health professionals. I am glad that Woodside Smile Dental is so conveniently located, right off the 61st street stop on the # 7, the days and hours of operation make there services very available to patients. I came here a few times and I always feel like they are just trying to take my money. I honestly feel like I've been taken advantage of here. If they think you have money they'll make sure to find a way for you to spend it. They are nice people, but don't know how to run a successful dental office. Stop being greedy or desperate! My first visit they immediately push me to get braces and then scaling. They made me feel like there was something wrong with my teeth even though I've had a history of excellent teeth health. Yaquelin is also quite rough with the cleaning and she is always pushing me to buy this, get that, and it always cost money (procedures that my insurance doesn't cover). There is negative energy in the room. She constantly tries to find something wrong with your teeth. Dr.Lee is nice but I hardly see her since Yaquelin always did my cleaning. The receptionists would mess up my co-pay calculations twice! Before the appointment they'll say it would be $49 and then after my procedure they say "oh sorry we miscalculated and it's actually $75". If I had known I wouldn't have done the procedure which I later found out was completely unnecessary. Another time they said that the check up is covered by my insurance, so I came and afterwards they charge me $30 saying insurance doesn't cover it. Now I go to a different dentist in the city and it's like night and day. The doctor and the dental assistants are so impressed with my healthy teeth and good genes. When I ask him if I should get braces he says that's up to me and can take my time with the decision. Wow, now that's a real dentist. Doesn't beg for money, just happy to see a patient with healthy teeth! Amen. read more

From the front desk staff, to Grisell's meticulous cleaning, to the x-Ray tech, and Dr. Linda's check-in at the end, I felt in good hands and comfortable. Visited a month ago for an emergency filling. Dr.Lee took care of it immediately and everyone in the office was very attentive as well. Also gave me no hard time when I asked for the x-rays. I would totally revisit if the distance wasn't an issue. read more

At the time I had no dental insurance and a filling had just come out. I passed by and was told I needed to first to through and pay for a check-up and cleaning. I did. Then, as I expected I was told I needed a new filling on that tooth and other minor dental work. I told them I needed the filling asap and the other work I can get it done once I get my insurance. Now, compared with other visits to other Dentists, their cleaning procedure was way too fast and I felt there was a lack of attention to detail. As far as the Dentist, I had gotten used to not feeling discomfort, but this Dentist's sole focus was to get the filling done as fast as possible regardless of how I felt; maybe that suction tool was not placed correctly, but I was chocking on my own saliva and when the Dentist noticed I needed to swallow once too many time, and therefore she needed to stop, she told me I was gonna have to hold on until she was done. Also, I was never given a choice between a white or a silver filling, maybe they just don't have that option and I feel I was taken advantage of my ignorance in the subject, so I ended up having a silver filling again, when I actually would have preferred a white filling. The only reason I'm not giving it one star is because the filling was after all done. read more

I really wish that Susan P. would have given more detail on why she gave them 1 star and here is my experience. As a result of bad genes I have I had dental problems my whole life and never have had a good experience with dentist in general. When traveling home from work on the 7 train I saw the sign on the side of the building for this dental practice. After deep thought I decided to give them a try. Well where do I even begin, I have yet to get the same dentist twice at each visit and I get a different recommendation each time (I state this very loosely). I opted to go for THEIR treatment plan and I can say with all sincerity it ruined the quality of my life. To some that may seem a little dramatic but I kid you not. My food consumption is very limited and every time I go to them to correct what they already f**ked up they just end up making it worse. Then to make matter worse after I followed through on THEIR recommended treatment plan and when I get another dentist, this dentist basically agreed with me on what I originally wanted in the first place and was told by the previous dentist it was not possible, arggggg!!!! Finally, I am insured though my job and my husband covers me under his plan. I have to explain to them every time they must bill my insurance first because it is my primary and then bill my husband's insurance for the difference. The reason being neither insurance will pay out unless the primary is billed first and then the secondary is billed. Now that would not be to much of a problem IF they would just bill the damn insurance in the first place! I have to call them to bill for services already provided see what I have left on my plan and continue my treatment. This never happens and it is not my job to continue to remind them to bill the insurance. Needless to say I am only half way through my treatment and we a going on two years now, seriously. I can only surmise they want you to continue to go for treatment and then say you maxed out you plan so you owe us X amount of dollars. I am not even get into the BS games they played with you have to go to get all sorts of medical treatment that BTW won't be covered under you medical plan, such as specialized X-Ray, etc. Long story short, I would not recommend this dental practice for complex dental procedures. Cleaning and fillings they can do just as well as any other dental practice. Otherwise, any other type of procedures find yourself another practice and stay away from them. read more

I've been going to Woodside Dental for 20 years and it's pretty much been a positive experience for me, all things considered. The dentists have all been good and the staff has treated me professionally and as if they value me as a patient. Had bonding done on my three front teeth, chipped within 2 days. Came back to fix the chipped area, then pieces started chipping off again after a few days. Waste of time and money! They will fix it for me one last time then I'm finding a new dentist. Very annoying that I have to keep coming back especially since it was just done last week! And I don't have time to keep getting it fixed EVERY SINGLE WEEK!! They told me it's "supposed to last for years" it didn't even last 3 days. I'm very upset at this point because it's like I was robbed and misinformed. They just wanted money. read more

Dr. Lee and her staff are very friendly. They welcome you into their office as if you are family. Some people may feel anxious about seeing a dentist but not my family. My kids and I leave knowing we had the best care with little discomfort. When I ask my kids, ages 9, 7 and 6, how their appointment went, they respond with a smile, "It didn't hurt at all." I am so thankful that I never have to force or bribe them to see their dentist. read more

Started coming to this location after Dr. Scorsese joined this office. He's been my dentist for years. Very nice guy, loves his job, efficient and always looks out for his patients' best interests. Hygienist is also thorough. Rooms are small but they follow all dental standards and the office is kept clean. They recently updated their x-ray machine and software. Less radiation is generated and the images are now digitalized. Convenient to all transportation. read more

Woodside smile dental is an amazing facility every single one of them from front desk to hygienist and doctors are very attentive, kind and caring. Yaquelin the Dental hygienist is truly a sweetheart, she cares about your dental health and will do her best to inform you how to properly take care of your teeth. I came here for a visit last week on Friday. I went in for a normal cleaning and exam. The staff was nice however when I was doing the x-ray----the scan pad kept falling off when they tried to stick it on to take the xray from my mouth. When I got the cleaning done, the lady sprayed water all over my face (the room was filthy). The reason why I am writing this review is because the dentist I saw told me i had 5 cavities. I kept in mind I have not been to the dentist for a while but how can I possibly get so many. I did some research and went to another dentist today for a second opinion to find out I HAVE NO CAVITIES. They tried to sell me the cosmetics fillings which my insurance does not cover, while my insurance did cover silver fillings and they did not inform me of that either. The guy reassured me they don't make any money from this. Clearly this is all a lie because i actually don't have any cavities. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Do your research in finding a good dentist before they drill your teeth away when there is no reason for it and you are paying them to do so! read more
