The best in the Destin area! I grew up in Niceville & now live in California. I make an annual trip to meet up with a friend, we stay in Destin and we always do something exciting while we're in town. I've parasailed in California, Destin & the Bahamas. The staff at Sun Dogs are the BEST. They take you higher and you're up longer than any other place I've ever parasailed. The staff are so meticulous, safety conscious, friendly, happy and genuinely want you to have a blast. I can't recommend them enough. I'm sorry to say that I don't remember the name of the young man that shuttled us out to the boat & back (8/03 11am) but we were all so impressed with him. Please thank him from the "dolphin people" If you've wanted to parasail but are scared-don't be! It's much safer than it looks, and a great time. We had the BEST time parasailing with Sundog Parasailing in Destin! From start to finish, the crew was professional, friendly, and made us feel so welcome!. It was my kids first time parasailing, and they walked us through everything so they had a blast! The views from up there were absolutely breathtaking, crystal-clear water, white sandy beaches, and even a few dolphins and jellyfish swimming below us. It feels surreal. The takeoff and landing were super smooth, and the whole experience felt safe and well-organized, only 6 people go out at a time so we aren't packed into a boat. The boat ride itself was also a blast, good music, great vibes, and lots of laughs. The crew had a great sense of humor and made the whole trip so great. We were visiting the Destin area this summer 2022 and decided to do something we never had done. The family choose sun dogs it was such an awesome experience. The staff was great in explaining what to do and what to expect. We purchased the photos and card they were super pictures we couldn't ask for a better experience. We loved the idea of taking a smaller group we fortunately did only have 6 people which worked our great. The pricing was absolutely affordable and worth every dollar spent, the grandkids love it as well it was an experience for the whole family enjoyed. We stumbled upon Sun Dog and it was the best paradailing EVER! We were higher than anyone out there. We saw Dolphins going out. They stopped the boat and tried to get them to come over to us! Took my daughter (13) for her first parasail and we could not have had more fun. Went to Sun Dogs on 4/26 and went on their ~noon trip. There were only 5 of us on the boat (4 flyers and 1 spectator), so there was plenty of room and easy conversation. We went into the bay and away we went. Daughter had a smile the entire flight! That alone was worth the price. We did purchase the GoPro package and it was pretty funny watching it after we returned home. You can tell the folks at Sun Dogs enjoy what they do. For our initial check in to the captain and crew. Just excellent. On the way in, the young lady driving the boat back (they taxied the next group out in a smaller run-about boat) gave us great tips on other things to do and even gave a great lunch suggestion. It was my first time parasailing and it couldn't have been better! Everyone was extraordinarily friendly and laid back. They prep you well and give you all the info you need to know. The time in the air was great. You only go with 6 people aside from the captain and his helper, which definitely made it not feel crowded like some of the other parasailing boats we saw. The harnesses aren't pages but certainly weren't uncomfortable. The lady who took its back after getting out another group took some extra time to look at dolphins and get them right next to the boat. The other parasailer boats were speeding back to the dock. Sun Dogs cared about giving an experience to the people they took out. They are 100% worth the money and they have fun doing what they do, not to mention their parachute had a huge smiley face with its tongue out! read more

Tips: arrive early for parking at AJs (big blue dolphin building), potty at AJs, they provide dry box for phones, keys, etc. they "dip" you at the end but only got wet waist down. Best company to do private boat tours and parasailing. They were so friendly and made our experience memorable!

We were looking to go parasailing and search yelp for the best place and found Sun Dogs so we decided to give it a try based on mostly positive reviews I read about. My teenage daughter and her friend whom had never parasailed went while we stayed back at the dock and watched. They said they really enjoyed the parasailing itself and went really high (they advertise 1,200ft) and staff was really helpful and friendly. They even said they seen three dolphins on the way back and the driver of the boat slowed down enough for them to stop and enjoy watching them so that was a plus. The only negative that we seen that they advertise as a draw compared to other companies is the ability to only take a small group of six out instead of 12-15 people for a more fast and friendly experience however this requires folks to ride out to the parasail boat in a small dingy and according to my girls made it a very rough and bumpy ride. They thought next time they prefer to go out from the dock in the actual parasailing boat then the dingy because of the rough ride out and back and also maybe thought if they we in bigger group that it would allow them to stay out in the ocean a little longer as well. But to each their own I guess. But overall very pleased with our decision to give the Sun Dog Parasailing a try and was not disappointed. Would recommend. Thanks you folks at the Sun Dog!! read more

My wife and 2 girls went parasailing yesterday. My wife was not going to fly just the girls and I. We paid for her to just ride and watch. Well the 2 guy crew talked her into it and she flew with the youngest and I flew with the oldest and we had a blast. The guys were great and very caring. We come down to Destin frequently. This is the first time we tried Sun Dogs 1200 foot parasail. The trip was GREAT. Staff was very friendly, and courteous. Def will parasail with them in the future as we come back to Destin. The trip cost 60.00 per person, but well worth the extra money for the distance you're in the air, and the extra travel time that seemed to be vs the other companies. My boyfriend, daughter, and myself went parasailing with Sun Dogs today... It was an amazing experience. Their staff is awesome, from the booking process, the ride out to the parasail boat, the on boat experience, just everything was awesome! I've been parasailing with other companies before and this was the BEST, hands down. They only take 6 people out at a time, so you aren't waiting forever and it's much more personable. We had scheduled parasailing with Sun dogs for the Thursday of our trip. We were informed 5 days prior that the weather was not looking promising for parasailing via text. We were then given the option to either reschedule or get a refund. We decided wait to see what the weather would do and then maybe to reschedule and hope that things would be better. The Thursday we were originally scheduled for Sundogs checked in with us just to confirm it was not a good day to sail and then we rescheduled for Saturday. Saturday when were very bad and they communicated with me early in the morning that unfortunately mother nature was not going to cooperate. They told me they give me a refund and within minutes I got the confirmation email of everything. Although we did not get to parasail I was so impressed with the communication back-and-forth and the honesty of the company I'm giving them five stars. read more

We had a great time parasailing with these folks. There were only four people on our tour which made it great timing. They were speedy but also safe. Couple things we weren't fans of though... There were signs everywhere saying you should tip, even one saying you should tip to insure parasail safety! we had tipped anyway but we were given the option to when we first purchased our excursion so we could use our card. We did that but we were later made to feel bad with all the signs since we weren't tipping on the spot. How do they know we already tipped?! Plus, I don't like pre tipping since I don't know yet how the service will be... Perhaps they should change that so you can do it at the end? Another thing... During your tour, there is a smaller boat that comes and changes out the passengers. As our flights were done, another one came to drop off people and pick us up. There was one lady that was coming on to the parasail boat that was probably about 60. Apparently she had bad knees and had a hard time making the big step to get on the boat. The captain was obviously mad that she had even made it that far to get on the boat. He radioed his wife and scolded her saying "don't let people with bad knees do this!" He was also yelling at another guy for not knowing ahead of time, in which he replied "she never said anything about it!" Everyone in the whole boat could hear everything that was going on, I felt so embarrassed for her and felt they could have handled it much more professionally. I would probably return, but these couple things kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Kerry and Gus offer an incredible 15-20 minute 500-700 foot high (1200 ft of line) parasailing adventure slightly outside the Destin Harbor or further into the Gulf. Safety was their first concern with wind condition readings and a short demonstration of the lines and hardware. This was important because after research my brother didn't want a recap of the unfortunate Panama events (google the story). They shared an intense knowledge of the community making several great recommendations (Harbor Docks, incredible food..) and great conversation that isn't always available because the locals can be off putting to tourists. They found dolphins swimming not far from the harbor and we took the most incredible photos that even Kerry and Gus were shocked to see in 20 + years calling Destin home. Fun, safe, beautiful views and great atmosphere make Sun Dogs parasailing my first and only choice in town. $45 cash and $50 charge card! Not bad at all! read more
