The owner, Alexander the Not so Great, cancelled an invoice on me the night before I was supposed…read moreto purchase a bike from his shop. When I contacted Alexander Samul the owner of the company he claimed he was not making enough money on the deal and I now needed to send him the money via zelle, cash app, or PayPal friends and family so he could avoid paying taxes and "keep it off the books" as he put it. What kind of legit business asks a complete stranger they've never met in person to send them 2800 dollars thru cash app to pay for a bike they've not even seen in person yet? He couldn't even stick to the agreement we made a mere 3 hours prior and canceled the invoice he sent me without telling me. This Owner of Detroit Moped Works lied to me and did not keep his word. He then tried to justify his lies by saying things change and we didn't have any type of legal agreement to purchase the bike. Where I come from a man's word means everything and this guy is giving small business's everywhere a bad name by not honoring the agreement we made. He then cried the blues about how he could barely keep the lights on and just needed to make payroll which seemed like a very odd and unprofessional thing to do for a business owner. I contacted him to purchase a bike not be his therapist. There was nothing complicated or personal about this transaction. I was trying to purchase a Bike from Detroit Moped Works a retail shop that sells bikes, mopeds, and scooters, why would that be so complicated for them. They tried to change their story later when I called them out on what they were doing by saying it was a personal transaction when clearly it was not. In fact the bike I was going to purchase is for sale inside his store Detroit moped works so why would it be a personal transaction. They sent me an invoice to pay for the bike that was from the company Detroit Moped Works, again not something that would indicate a personal transaction. The words "off the books" were his words not mine as you can see from screenshot below. If your intention was not to operate "off the books" then why would you say that and use those exact words? Sure sounds like the owner is lying yet again. They continued to lie about what happened by saying the invoice was revised, the invoice was not revised because I asked for an extra day, in fact it wasn't revised at all. It was cancelled altogether because the owner became upset and thru a temper tantrum because he said he wasn't making enough money. Cancelling an official invoice from the business and asking someone to cash app or zelle you personally so you can avoid the taxes and credit card fees is not what I call revising the invoice. This business says they operate with professionalism so why does the owner not show that same professionalism. The bigger question is why is the owner of Detroit Moped Works selling bikes from his own shop personally off the books? That does not sound like a legit business operating on the up and up to me. The invoice I received from him was from the company Detroit Moped Works. That would indicate it's NOT some type of personal transaction. I'll attach a copy of the invoice received from Detroit Moped Works to purchase the bike. I want to be very clear. This did NOT happen because of any type of miscommunication. The owner of Detroit Moped Works straight up lied to me and backed out of the deal we made because he was greedy and decided he wanted to make more money from the transaction.

Not only was he helpful in making my purchase, but he was also very patient and kind. He took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure I was comfortable with my decision. Overall I had a great experience thanks to Robbie. He truly went above and beyond to make sure I had a positive experience which was awesome. Highly recommended him to anyone in the market looking for a unit of any kind. Also the parts and service department is awesome as well, I've been dealing with them for a long time with other machines I've got and they've taken care of me well. I'll be back

Horrible service!!!!!…read more **HORRIBLE SERVICE*** Resolution found! Bought a new set of rims and tires from Tusk and the problem is gone. Put the rims and tires from the 2023 on my 2019 ranger and that machine has the same problem. Don't go to this place they will not do any favors and they have horrible service!!! See below for the owners BS response Update: your reply to defend your horrible service is a bunch of BS. I have video of it doing it the day I picked it up. After all of the bad reviews for your service department, maybe your company should look in the mirror. I have not received a call from you at all. Maybe try picking up the phone and calling a dissatisfied customer... Maybe you should watch the video on your own Facebook page of the problem occurring (after power washing) https://www.facebook.com/share/p/FH66FfuSvu7hzVAx/?mibextid=WC7FNe K&W Service department has disappointed my expectations. Lack of knowledge is very apparent in the service department. It became very clear that they are just after a quick $$$ and not taking care of a customer. They pretty much deemed nothing was wrong with the machine that would be covered under warranty before they even looked at it. I went to K&W first when I bought 4 machines in the last few years and they had no stock. I purchased them where I could find stock. This was due to Covid I'm sure. I've bought parts from them and I will say their parts guys were on point!! From the experience I am currently having with their service department I can assure that I will NEVER again do business with K&W AGAIN!!! I took a brand new Polaris Ranger that I paid over $40,000 6 months ago because The front end shimmy and shakes like crazy when driving over 35 or 40 miles an hour All the way up to 60 mph. I have a video of it doing it tonight after I picked it up, but I cannot upload video to the review. All I did was drive it down the road like their service department claimed they did. As soon as I got there their service writer up guy Shawn immediately tried blaming On mud being packed in the tires, there's no "mud packed" on the machine. The attached pictures are from what was on the machine from the last ride. It was sand from a trail when it was raining. I Explained to him that it has done it since the first We drove it a mile and a half on the road up north to the trails. Shawn, then tried blaming it on the tires being uneven because I drove it on pavement. The machine only has about 400 miles on it from three long rides we did. I originally was going to have all of my maintenance done for the engine, Transmission, differentials, etc. I told him to hold off until I can see the Diagnosis of the main issue I went in for. This decision stemmed from Shawn persistently going over the diagnostic fee and charges instead of listening to what the machine issues were. One other issue I was having is the drivers door pops open when going over uneven terrain on trails. Their excuse for that one was you need to slam the door extremely hard, Polaris should advertise that when spending over $40,000 on a machine you must slam doors so that they don't open while driving on a trail. I have two other Polaris Rangers that I have never had any issues with. One of them in the picture with the same amount of sand on it with no issues. Shawn called me twice today Blaming it on mud being packed in the tires which None was found. When I disagreed with him on that he went The driving on pavement Defense... I called Polaris and come to find out. Shawn never opened a case or reached out to Polaris at all. Polaris customer service said they would help if they were contacted yet they weren't. I had to call Shawn back and ask him to do so that when I take it to Extreme Powersports in Gaylord, who DOES HAVE a phenomenal Service department, I can try to get reimbursed from Polaris for the $100ish that K&W charged me to do absolutely nothing.
