However, what truly sets The Doctor's Office of Merrick apart is its exceptional staff. The front desk team greets you with genuine smiles and treats you like family from the moment you arrive. They go above and beyond to ensure that your needs are met, tirelessly assisting you until your issue is resolved. Personally, I had a medication which was sold out in my usual pharmacy. Not only did the front desk staff make suggestions of not one - but 4 local (smaller) pharmacies - but they even provided the phone numbers and told me which ones would deliver my medication! They asked if I needed any assistance with having them call to check the medication's availability - and, after I'd told them that I could handle making a few calls - they followed up to make sure I was all taken care of. (I must say - I felt as if I were a family member of the staff, with the attentive way that they treated me.) We went back a few weeks later - just to have my son get his eye looked at after an allergic reaction - they saw him right away - got him some eye drops and had the note ready (for school) before we even checked out! In a world where impersonal medical visits have become the norm, the level of care provided by Physician's Assistants Shane and Patrycja is nothing short of extraordinary. Their dedication to each patient is palpable, as they take the time to listen attentively, thoroughly assess your concerns, and provide personalized attention. What's more, they have a remarkable ability to remember each patient, fostering a sense of continuity and trust that is rare to find. Founded by Dr. Mark Haltrecht, this is an office filled with medical professionals who get an A+ from me in bedside manner and professionalism. The Doctor's Office of Merrick serves as a poignant reminder of how doctor's offices used to be in times long gone (although I'm sure they won't take a chicken or an apple pay in lieu of payment!). In an age where convenience often surpasses compassion, this clinic remains steadfast in its commitment to patient-centered care. It's a refreshing departure from the cold and rushed approach that has become all too common in walk-in clinics today. In the current day and age, where people go to walk in clinics for convenience and in order to see a medical professional quickly - that it has devolved into a conveyor belt style "get them in and get them out" type business model where there is very little bedside manner or caring. They were really fantastic with patient care. Kind and quick to address all my needs. Sick and tired of billing issues, charging twice or bill the insurance wrong then have to re-bill…read moreso 5 minute visit with the child turns into weeks of headaches dealing with that because the right hand doesn't know what the left one does! I physically went to the location with the bill question and got no answers and the manager didn't call me as I was told she was. Also, good luck reaching them over the phone! It is impossible! Even when they do tests and tell us we will call back with the results they never do! Once again, every single time I have to go there in person to ask for it! Some doctors are awful as well, telling me mu child needs cough meds and I should take one over the counter, after I told her we already went through this and no one of the over the counter help, she sent the referral for meds to the pharmacy and guess what she prescribed, right, the meds over the counter already told her didn't work. We had to go back next day and pay for the visit again! As I said, sick and tired. Time to look for better location.

I've had 2 outpatient ganglion cyst removal surgeries here (2/'22 & 8/'26) and the care I received…read moreboth times were exceptional. From the friendly receptionists right when you walk in those doors & the security team who locks up your belongings while you're in surgery to the nurses- lots of nurses- they were all very sweet, caring just simply great and my doctor- Dr. Gilbert- an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hand & upper extremity surgery- he is truly amazing. Not to mention, they literally waste no time- I was on the bed, hooked up to an IV within minutes, waited a little while, anesthesia kicked in, the last thing I remember was being in the OR & woke up in the recovery room. The PACU nurse made sure I was OK, gave me graham crackers & water, and even helped me get dressed. I was indeed well taken care of at this Hospital.
