Yes, YouTube tutorials are one thing but since I'm a hands on learner; sometimes I just can't get it. This 5 star is going to the wonderful Reinaldo! Who saw me looking clueless next to the available graphics cards. Micro center has such a wide variety of everything that it can get overwhelming but he helped me every step of the way and even took a look at the list I made. Constructive criticism may hurt my feelings but his advice wasn't to sway what I wanted but give me more perspective of how it will run in comparison to how it will look. With streaming and my art set up, he knew I'd need a better parts. At this point, I didn't mind paying a bit extra because he EXPLAINED why I would need them instead of just upselling me for the heck of it. 10/10 service and care. Also big 10/10 for micro center getting employees that are knowledgeable and love what they do. Along with having EVERYTHING. (If they don't, the employees can help you find it at a different micro or help you order it to home) Thank you!

I specifically came here after ordering a Web order of one of the two things they had - and then the following sequence of events happened. 1. My web order was not on the shelf, even though I had a confirmation email, they saw the confirmation email in their system, and then weren't able to find it after 10 minutes of searching. They then told me to go to the floor (no help, no direction on where to go) to go find what they lost 2. I am told to go to a sales representative on the floor. I tell him what I need, knowing that there is still one left in their inventory since I didn't buy them out with my Web order. He searches the generic name of the brother labels i'm looking for (literally "brother's label cartridge"), the results are very long, he doesn't go past the first page, and he tells me that they don't carry that here at all 3. I then show him the page on the website with the right name. He finally looks it up. he tells me it's an aisle seven and tells me to go there. 4. I go to aisle seven I search for another 10 minutes, no help from any staff at this point, and no cartridge to be found - neither the one I ordered online nor the one they had left in inventory. Look, I know mistakes happen, but there was a point of friction on every single step in this process. There was no accountability, no support when things went wrong, and no accommodation once the experience is wrapped up. I've had two negative and two neutral experiences. I've tried. I'm sorry. Never coming back, and I'll let my friends know my experiences when it comes to electronics

    For quite a while, the dishwasher at my mother's house has not been cleaning efficiently. It has…read morebeen repaired a few times, with the last technician saying that if it "happens again, a new dishwasher would be necessary." Welp. So my sister and I decided to just buy a new one, so it would work correctly without worry, and we could keep our sanity during a tough period. A little background here - all siblings and SO have been staying at my mom's since she is deteriorating rather quickly. It is a very stressful time and we just didn't feel like continuing to deal with an easily solved issue. I called PC Richards, since it's been around forever and Ive shopped successfully before. I fist spoke to Alex, who was great and suggested I look on their website to see what I may prefer, and to call back with some choices. When I picked a couple and called again, Mr B answered the phone, and we spoke extensively about each machine's pros/cons. Mr B was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He told me he has been with the store for a very long time, starting as a stock boy. He is now a manager and a pure pleasure. I said to him "I can give you a whole sob story, but I wont. But please know, we need this before Sunday". He never batted an eye. This was on.a Tuesday, with the July 4th weekend approaching (yes, I am THAT person!). Essentially, it had to be delivered that Friday due to the approaching holiday. Mr B said he could "call a friend" (I got a guy) that could possibly make delivery happen, but he would make no promises. Ok! I put a deposit on a JennAir at an awesome price. The next day I received a text saying that my appliance was ready for delivery and to call to schedule. Yippeee! I called the store back (Thursday) and spoke to Mike, who told me I was scheduled for the following Tuesday. Uh oh !! We REALLY needed/wanted/would make life easier with a Fri delivery (really , Im not being difficult, there are reasons, just not going to get into it here). He said he would make a call. Next thing I know, Mr B calls (who was not supposed to be at work on that day) from the store to discuss delivery. When I expressed my surprise hearing from him on his day off, he said he just wanted to take care of the issue. He then told me that he could not get me delivery until Tuesday. Obviously, I was disappointed but he had told me it was a longshot with such short notice. Ok, we will make it work. Mr B truly had no idea of our issues and his efforts were not unnoticed. Next thing I know, he called me back 10 minutes later telling me Fri delivery was set! Wowza! I wanted to jump through the phone and hug him! I am quite sure he does not know our "sob story" as I never got into it, but he succeeded in making my day better (as I was sitting in my therapist's office, lol.) So thank you Alex, Mike, and especially Mr B - y'all removed one stupid PIA issue during a time that our household is preparing for the sad inevitable. We appreciate you guys so much!

They're giving me the run around, the store it came from says they can't help me, they won't respond to customer service emails, I called headquarters and they said they would call me back to set up a pick up, they never called. The policy on their website says they're supposed to pick up any local or freight delivery if it's reported within 2 days, which I did report it. I learned they send people defective merchandise and then give you the runaround so you'll end up having to deal with the manufacturer directly.

    So it's been quite a while since I've needed to pay a visit to the Smart Addiction shop and now…read morethey are in a different location than those first times that I needed their help. Recently I miscalculated my stride on some steps and came crashing down with my mobile in my hand and while I wasn't injured, my phones corner glass was smashed. I was mad for the most part since the phone is only five months old and didn't have insurance on it. Before you chide me about that, I should mention that I've never so much as scratched a phone screen in the 25 or so years of using these devices. End of streak. So anyway after being scolded by Verizon, I headed to the Smart Addiction store which is also known as "iFixit New York, Bay Ridge" location to assess the damage and the cost to repair. Sadly, the screen for this particular model was not in stock and would need to be ordered. I have a Google Pixel 9 Pro XL since I rather like a large phone based on all the web and social media stuff I do. The other downside would be the cost of $300 to replace and repair this broken screen. They said the Google phones are costly repairs so the part was ordered and I waited a few days. Once it was in the shop they took my device for a few hours and all was good as new. The staff is friendly but as technicians they are more interested in getting the job done efficiently for the customer. I told them the exact happening that got the breakage for them to be aware in case such actions lead to other issues. It's always best to be honest with the technicians. If you spill something on a laptop, let them know, if you drop your phone out a window, let them know etc. All in all I am glad that they are here and I hope that its a while before I have to come in there again since I don't like breaking things. Another good option at this location in Bay Ridge is that they have one of those Go Lockers so you can direct Amazon, FedEx and more to so you don't miss a delivery while you are at work. Thanks for the repair gang.

I only use it occasionally but when I do, it's important. First I called a local computer repair shop. They said it would be $90. Not the worst. Then I asked my friend if she would recommend her computer technician. She said yes enthusiastically and gave me the number for Technical Difficulties. When I asked him for a quote, he told me that different HP laptops may have more than one fan and that he would have to see it. Then he told me that if it's just the fan, I could try a laptop fan pad. Never heard of it! I bought one for under $30 and it solved the problem! What integrity!

One day I was accessing some files -- one minute the files were there and the next minute they were not readable. I panicked. I knew the cost could be very expensive, but I had to find out if it could be done and what they would charge. Avi at Technical Difficulties explained to me all the different possibilities before I agreed to send the flashdrive to a lab. I had a certain figure I had in mind that I would go up to because the journal entries were irreplaceable. After waiting a couple of weeks, I was told that most of the files could be recovered including the journal entries. I thought it was a miracle! The cost was not cheap, but reasonable. I was very happy with the service I received. I also very much appreciated how the process was communicated to me. There was never any pressure -- everything was left up to me. I highly recommend their service for data recovery. I was able to recover something that had a lot of sentimental value. Thank you so much Technical Difficulties!
