Went here with some friends tonight and had a blast! It was my first time going to a strip club so I was pretty nervous but I eased up once I saw how nice the atmosphere and people were. We went for Stripparaoke and got there around 10:30pm. Parking wasn't great but I got lucky and got a spot on the street just in time. It was $5 cash to get in the door. The bouncer was super friendly and I felt comfortable immediately. We went to the bar and ordered food and drinks - I got a water and chicken strips, which may be insane at a strip club but I was starving and looking forward to some food. We got a table up front and watched the dancers and karaoke singers. It was a good time! The dancers are all very talented and incredibly strong. Dancing is definitely an art and a sport and these girls are all so so talented. They played well to the music and the crowd and interacted well with the people at the stage. The KJ was great at his job and encouraged lots of tips for the girls, which they absolutely deserved. The food took a bit to come out but was worth it. You don't think about food when you think of a strip club, but the chicken strips were great. They seemed housemade which surprised me! They were so good and hit the spot. They were also only $8 and came with fries, which is SO cheap. It was shocking and I loved it! The crowd was very well-behaved and respectful. They tipped well and I never felt unsafe around anyone. I was worried about gross men but everyone seemed fine. They had security wandering around making sure nobody was acting up which I think helped. There are basic rules, which seem obvious but may help anyone else who hasn't been to a strip club before: no touching the dancers unless they explicitly ask, no using your phone when dancers are out, if you sing you are expected to tip your dancer at least a dollar, and if you're at the stage you are expected to tip at least a dollar per dancer per song. Again, all obvious, but there's always someone who won't know. All in all this is a great club and was a great first time for me. I felt safe and comfortable the whole time and would certainly go back in the future. It is also incredibly affordable and is a great way to hang out with friends! read more

The dancers are sexy, talented, and lots of fun! AND you can get up on stage and sing while they dance if you're brave enough. When I tell you everyone who knew we were going to be staying in Portland for the week recommended this place is an understatement but I am so glad we took everyone's advise! We went on Sunday for stripperokie and it was a $5 dollar cover charge no biggie that's very much doable. We walk in it's a nice little place not to crowded we were able to find a table. Visiting Portland and finally decided I needed to check out the famous strip club scene of the PNW. Honestly I was pretty nervous as someone who's never really gone to strip clubs and as a queer person but all those nerves disappeared when I talked with the doorman. He was super nice, explained club etiquette and told us the layout of the bar. The bartender and dancers were just as kind and fun. The vibes were super laid back almost like a dive bar that just happened to have a pole in the back. Also I think it was 80's night? Which just added to the fun vibe. Let me start this off by saying that I am a strong believer in paying people for their services and we came in with good intentions. As good intentions as you can have going into a strip club any way. I came here at 830pm on a Saturday night with my girlfriend and cousin. A little early I admit, but we planned on staying a while. We went straight to the bar and got drinks and sat down at a table. No dancers were on stage. For funsies my cousin and I went to the rack and a dancer came out. The dancer was nice. She was dancing her first song and one of the other dancers literally berated us and said one dollar per song. She was not nice about it. So my cousin and I each put a dollar down and apologized to the current dancer on stage and told her this was our first time at the establishment and didn't know the specific rules. She seemed really nice about it and smiled and we said thank you. The second dancer came out (same dancer who yelled at us before) My cousin and I promptly placed a dollar down because at this point we were scared of her . As she continued to dance she looked at us and said the more money you throw out, the more tricks I'll do for you or I can just lay here on stage. She was very condescending and super rude. She then yelled at my girlfriend in the back sitting at the table and told her it was a dollar per song. And so even though my girlfriend was not sitting up at the rack I promptly apologize and said here is a dollar for her. The dancer replied with "It's been two songs" So I placed another dollar down. We continued to watch and as other patrons came in and sat at the tables behind us, (barely getting in their seats) the dancer performing was already yelling at them that it was a dollar per song. We were so confused about the approach the dancer was taking in order to get her tips. We left the rack, went back to our table in the back, finished our drinks and left to go to another strip club that we stayed at well past midnight. Suggestion: Please tell your dancers to be kind. Not all patrons are trying to take advantage of them. I understand that there are def a-holes out there who do that, but there are a handful of people who are new and just don't understand the process. Weird... Not wanting exotic dancing, really just a drink at the end of the night. I actually was heading to the bar next door but was closed at 1am. The bouncer immediately pUffed up and gave me a complete lecture on how to behave in a strip club. I actually asked if I should take notes. He looked at me very serious and said just tip. Okay, I actually had a good amount of one dollar bills in my wallet from my tips that night. So why not, gave the asshole a two buck cover and went in. Ordered one drink from the one eyed waitress, with a 25% tip, threw a few of my well earned tips on stage and sat down a few yards away from the stage. I received a text from my son a few minutes later, proceeded to text my child back, and the bouncer immediately came up and asked me to put my phone away. What a complete dick head. I visited Devil's Point after hearing about it for years at other strip clubs. Wanting to see if it lives up to the hype, I visited it this past July and was not disappointed. Located by Foster Road's food cart lot, Devil's Point was a refreshing welcome to an otherwise warm summer afternoon. The bartender was a gentleman and very helpful in serving me an inexpensive soda water. With a drink in hand, I was quick to make myself at home. While being a small strip club, it certainly has a big stage. I can only imagine this serves as part of the well-known stripperoake nights, an activity in which a patron does karaoke while a dancer performs to it. The large platform also helps to give dancers extra space for performance. Plus, there are handlebars on the ceiling above and significant chains to the sides for performing extra tricks. The dancers themselves know some slick moves and have great taste in rock music (they even get to pick their songs). When not at the stage, I found myself having enjoyable conversations with the ladies who'd come to my table. They were quite friendly and attentive to the stories I had to tell. They even mentioned how everyone gets along well at Devil's Point and that there is no stereotypical strip club cattiness. I am delighted I stopped by Devil's Point that one July weekend. Not only is it a friendly strip club, but Foster Road has a whole assortment of fun and close businesses. Because of how Devil's Point doesn't serve food, patrons are free to bring over grub they purchase from the food carts. I especially recommend going during the shifts of Luna, Sedona, or Poppy. Stripperoke on Sunday nights at 9pm is always fun to watch and participate in. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. I especially appreciate the bouncer Baxter who keeps the peace and makes sure everyone knows the rules. I've been to Devil's Point a few times on non-stripperoke nights and it's still a great strip club even without the added karaoke. The advantage of being on Foster is that there are tons of places to eat and drink nearby if you're not into typical bar snacks. One of my favorite parts of stripperoke is the Easter egg songs and if you end up going I highly recommend figuring out one of those to sing. read more

The dancers are extremely hot and very fit and skilled on the pole, and just at dancing, in general. Great ambience, and excellent music (Wednesday is 80s night). The DJ was very cool, and looked up a song I requested (Lost in You, by Rod Stewart), and played it. Made my night to see that stunning dancer moving in tune to my request. Private dances are very nice, to, and much better priced than other places. Security guy is very friendly and helpful -he goes out of his way to help. You can smoke outside. The bathroom was nasty, but that's the only grievance. Really a very fun place; beautiful and talented dancers; great women big Benny's and moody; fun music; and a good variety of people in the crowd. read more

I've never seen someone with so much energy and stage presence (also killer lap dances). Well, ladies and gentleman. Stripperaoke DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! Got there close to midnight on Labor Day weekend. There was a line 10 deep but it moved quickly. There was a $5 cover (maybe just for stripperaoke nights?) Once inside the at the bar was hot and cold in terms of wait. There were 4 dancers that rotated 2 song-sets. 2 of them were amazingly talented!! But, of course, all were entertaining :). The Karaoke host was friendly, but be warned it is a LOOOONG wait. During a recent visit -- my last -- I had a girl practically beg me to get a private dance . I succumbed, unfortunately. For 5 minutes thinks went great. The entire audience sings along with you, and gives you just as much attention as the strippers. It's fantastic. TWO WORDS: Fire Dancers. (!!!!) I have never been so impressed in my life by the combination of hot women and fire. I knew that in theory, yeah it'd be awesome, but I had NO IDEA what I was in for. These women are seriously skilled, and I love their passion and dedication to put on a great show. They get the audience involved, and exhilarate everyone with their seemingly dangerous hobby of spinning fire balls near their hairsprayed-do. THREE WORDS: Tip Your Strippers. My one complaint about the audience is that people don't tip enough. There is no cover charge, and there is plenty of seating around the stage that it seems to make people think they don't have to tip. WRONG. Dude, these women work for you, and work for your tips. Stop being a cheapster and throw them a few dollars for making your night/week/month. My one complaint about the actual establishment is that the bartenders aren't always so friendly. I am torn. Not an aficionado of strip clubs, but dang if I haven't been to two this weekend! There is one main reason I didn't enjoy myself here - The bartender. And singing all the way in the back corner with no attention from the girls is just silly. what's the point of karaoke without acting and being a star and what's the point of karaoke at a strip club if the dancers ignore you? a Do get to the end of the review for some good stuff, though. Bartender Issues: I went to the bar and presented my Yelp coupon - explaining it was purchased a year ago (expires today!). The bartender called over a dancer to confer, they were perplexed, and when finally they deemed to accept it, it was very reluctantly, and the bartender commented that she could feel it in her pocketbook. I was still standing there, while waiting for my drink for about 10 minutes while this one guy ordered a million shots and beers. So now - I know she dislikes me, thinks I will stiff her for a tip, and I'm pretty certain she will pour me weak drinks - great way to start the night. When the one customer asked if she was the owner, she said "I should be". She then "bought" him a shot and a beer. Do you not see me standing here?? Did I not mention I use Yelp and will undoubtedly go home and review you?? Did I not see a Yelp poster in the bathroom offering half off if you "check in" here?? Seriously! Now that that's off my chest (which has a hickey on it this morning). The dancers are mostly quite good. Vivian Rose left before karaoke but she is so sweet and lovely and a fine dancer. The other dancers are mostly quite good as well - I generally like the way they dress (moreso than the girls at Union Jack's) and they are pretty friendly. The KJ was a doll. Well drinks were $5, the space is not large but feels kinda roomy and tables are nicely spread out. I was a disappointed that the dancers really pay almost no attention to you while you sing. I thought they would kind of get in the act more - which would have been funner. I've been going to Devil's Point for several years. Up until this year it was a favorite stop of mine, but after the last two visits I can't say it's a favorite anymore. The drinks are good, the ladies are hot, and the space is cool (except for the bathrooms, probably the worst you'll ever see). My big problem with Devil's Point is all the hipster/douche bags that fill the place. They're all drinking their shitty beer, complaining about how they can't afford anything (but don't want to work), and not tipping the beautiful ladies who are working hard. Take your skinny jeans, flannel, and stupid beards and find another place to take up space. And by the way, if you're wanting to check out Stripperoake on Sunday's, don't bother. I am SO GLAD that my first strip club experience was here! I had an insanely fun time.. although this may have set the bar pretty high for future strip clubs. Here's what made it awesome: - STRIPPAROKE!! Love singing? A topless girl dancing on stage with you while you're singing makes it even better. I definitely enjoyed singing Say It Ain't So while doing air guitar on a the girl's leg that she'd put over my shoulder. - The strippers are FUN, they're ENJOYING it, they JOKE with you, and they're TALENTED! I don't know how they do all those acrobatic tricks on the pole, on the stage on people sitting around the stage.. tip well, or even tip the minimum, and they will still give you individualized attention. - The strippers are also really sweet. One accidentally kind of kicked me in the face when she was doing some sort of acrobatic trick on my friend and apologized like crazy, then came to me on the floor after she was done to make sure I was ok again. - We kept making little towers with our dollar bills and every stripper had their own creative way of knocking it over. I got inspired and also started making dollar bill paper airplanes and they would create targets in their cleavage. I put some dollar bills in my own bra and they took the bait as well =). - Drinks are great as well. I just asked for something tart, light refreshing, and a couple of the bartenders whipped up something that tasted great yet was strong. I have nothing to compare to, but from what I hear the dancers here genuinely enjoy themselves and are more enthusiastic than other strip clubs. Some small red flags: - If you sit at the stage, there is a $1 minimum tip per person per song. - One of the strippers reached past this supposed "invisible wall" between the stage and our table/bar and took a bunch of our extra dollars! - We got a little bit of attitude from the announcer for not realizing the minimum on the first song we sat down at. We definitely tipped like crazy for most of the songs but that didn't seem to rollover for the few songs where we happened to give a little less. read more

We brought a LOT of people here early on a Saturday night. Friends of a friend even called one of the girls ahead to let them know we'd be coming in. The girls are hot. Gothy, punky, suicide girl types with amazing body modifications (Plus!) They were also super nice and friendly. After explaining on of my friends was at a Mormon Wedding instead of out with us, she obliged me for a picture with her outside!! (thanks Piper... you're friggin' adorable!) The place is a complete fucking divebar (PLUS!) My bourbon was reasonably priced by my standards and the bartender wasn't stingy (PLUS!). So I'm already having a fantastic time. A whiskey in my belly, great friends, great... GREAT music. (As in... its fucking rock n roll. No goddamned britney spears, no hip hop... its ROCK AND MUTHER FUCKING ROLL, BIATCH) I'm already impressed by the athleticism of one of the dancers (inversions, spectacular pole work... she could have kicked all of our asses without breaking a sweat--) And pretty impressed by a ballsy fire transfer another dancer did during her fire routine.... when... IT.F-ING HAPPENS. I guess I don't wanna give a blow-by-blow of her routine, as its her bread and butter, but needless to say it involved clown masks, my clown nose, the theme from halloween, and Ending with us all on our feet, Standing Ovation at the conclusion of the best.puppet.show.ever. It was one of the best pieces of bawdy performance art I've ever seen and it ended with our ENTIRE group on our feet, cheering in Standing Ovation, throwing fivers. My mind was blown. What a more fitting review for my 500th than a strip club - being a Portland newbie and all. There is no cover here, which is amazing. Especially since other places will charge you a $5+ cover on a weeknight and isn't a quarter of the place that DP is. I'm not a strip club expert or anything, but I love DP because it feels much more burlesque to me, and all around like a awesome, dark, divey bar. I also love that there's tables, and a good amount of them, around the stage that doesn't force you to sit at the rack. Drinks are super cheap. My Vodka and Tonics were $5, and PBR was $2.50. I made the mistake of getting way too drunk here. I was downing my drinks like water because I felt they were really watered down and mostly ice - especially since they were only 5 bucks. Shouldn't have done that. They were actually really strong. And I paid the price. The dancers here are AMAZING. Super talented and so beautiful. Every girl has their own unique style. One girl with half her head shaved, one girl that looked straight out of the 1920's, rock chicks, tattooed girls. There was only about 6 dancers all night and they were all incredible and never once got boring. Sitting at the rack will get you attention. But don't expect the kind of attention you'll get at sleazier places. You won't get a ton of close contact here. The VIP room is a tiny little closet. I accidentally walked in there while looking for the bathroom. I don't think I'd paid to get a lap dance here, even though the dancers are amazing, I think I'd be claustrophobic! And don't forget to tip! Even though I was sitting at a table, I still like to tip $1 for each song. So should you! These dancers have a fantastic sense of humor (had us laughing quite a bit) and seem to actually be having a lot of fun. Another place I went to last weekend, a stripper was berating a couple for not tipping at the rack within 20 seconds of her song, and they were tipping like crazy all night. Easily Portland's best strip club for the tattoo and rock and roll inclinded. I always loved this place but have been going more frequently now that I am in the neighborhood. The club has a low key, low pressure vibe and is well run. Drinks are strong and reasonable. The girls are always having a good time and are pretty damn amazing on the pole. Cricket, Ryder, Hazel, and Brodie will put your favorite dancers to shame on the stage. Piper is my personal favorite, so funny and outgoing *severe crush alert*. Hazel probably has the hottest body on planet earth. Even the bartender, Amy, is freaking gorgeous! The DJ kicks out Faith No More, Fugazi, Rancid, and Morphine between dances...somebody has some good musical taste. Now that I think about it..I am pretty sure I left my credit card there tonight.
