I love Subaru cars very much but since I've moved to Naples, Florida, i've been so disappointed in the service, I'm considering different car manufacturer because the service department makes me cry. It's so painful. I brought in the car and asked them to order a part that was covered under warranty. They somehow voided the warranty sent me home and refuse to fix it. It's been a year and a half. I've called 20 times and I still have no action and every time I call, I simply get voicemails and no one bothers to call back rare occasion, but yet they say they'll look into it and then nothing happens. you're looking to buy a think about getting serviced elsewhere finding your own service person. read more

I took my car for a regular oil change and inspection on Saturday morning. On Sunday morning, I noticed a little oil on the garage floor from the car, but I thought it might be residue oil from the oil change. This morning, I woke up to a puddle of oil underneath my car. My husband had to come out and get underneath the car. He saw that the oil draining plug was left loose, which caused a lot of oil to leak out. Had I left my car outside overnight in the grass instead of inside the garage, I would have been driving with low oil which of course damages the engine. I'm disappointed and shocked at the shoddy service performed on my vehicle. Now my question is, why did it take one hour and 40 minutes to drain oil, put some back in and not even bother to do a good job? Why $119? I contacted the service department and filed a complaint and requested a refund. I'm waiting for resolution from the managers. So, the cost and time of the service, twenty minutes late to work, and tons of aggravation and anxiety. I've had my car for two years, and my husband always does the oil change and never had any issues, but I'm always getting on him that I would prefer to take it to the dealer and have it done by professionals. Now, I'm eating crow! If you've had good service here before, count your blessings. For new customers, keep an eye out to make sure all is done properly. As for me, I will never go back. read more

My husband and I were in Naples for an extended stay and our 2021 Outback was due for major 30,000 mile service. When I spoke with Natasha in the Service Department, she was professional and personable, and she was able to book us a service appointment within 48 hours. Terrific first impression! Upon arrival early on a Saturday morning, we were greeted by advisor Paul Niemiec, who assured us he had experienced technician, Ivan Magana, available to do this more extensive service, and he advised us it would probably take about three hours to complete. On week days the Service Department offers a shuttle service, but not on Saturdays; however, Paul made our day when he asked another employee, Junior, if he would be willing to drive us to a coffee shop near Waterside Shops so that we didn't have to spend several hours waiting at the dealership. We live in Delray Beach, Florida and have a 2010 Subaru. We loved this car so much that we decided to get a 2020 Subaru Outback and give our daughter the 2010. After going somewhat stir-crazy during this pandemic, we also purchased a lightweight RV known as a SylvanSport Go. We have been going all over Florida camping at Florida State Parks on the beach and loving it. In March 2020, we went to Fort Desoto State Park near St. Petersburg, FL Coming back to Delray Beach we got a flat tire due to running over of a drill bit on the road. It was 4 pm. Thanks to the pressure monitors we were able to get off the road to a gas station and call triple A. They moved quickly, told us our tire was destroyed and put on the spare by 4:30 PM. The spare is a "donut" and on the web I saw that: 1. You should not go over 50 mph 2 No drive more than 50- miles distance 3. And most importantly, on-line it said to "not pull a trailer" with a donut spare. We were about 100 miles from home when this happened. While my wife was calling people like Tire Kingdom, I prefer not to go to these types of places. So I found DeV0e Subaru on the web and they we about 4 miles away. I spoke to the receptionist who was not optimistic that they could do anything that late in the day. But she said come by and thy would do what they could. I got there at 4:40 and was greeted by Chris Myers who's card said he was a "service consultant". He looked at the tire and confirmand it was not repairable. He then said he had our tire in stock but wanted to physically see it before he could give me a price. So he hustled off to the warehouse. Since it was 4:45PM and the service dept. closed at 5PM, I reluctantly started checking hotels in the area. Now this is Naples and in season. We are looking at $250.00 plus. At this point 4:55 Chris comes back, tells me they have the tire and will have some guys stay over in the shop and install the tire "right now". You could have knocked me over with a feather. So we sat in their comfortable air conditioned service waiting room drinking a free coffee and bottled water. Chris left and Larry finished up the paperwork with me when the job was done. A very nice lady who worked there chatted with us and could not have been nicer. Judging from the number of vacation houses he has, she may have been the owner or the owner's wife. By 5:15 or so our car was done and the guys helped us hitch up or trailer. Bottom Line: This was amazing customer service and a tribute to this company. Just had the strangest experience with a car salesman while trying to purchase a new vehicle. Due to the pandemic and chip shortage(not their fault) they have virtually no inventory. To purchase a car you need to wait several weeks for delivery. That is understandable, however, what makes no sense is that they will not give you an estimate on your trade in until the new car arrives. It leaves you in the situation wHere you are signing a contract for purchase without knowing the net price. The sales rep answer was we don't know what the market will be like in the future and will not even give a ballpark estimate on cars value today. What prevents them from lowballing you upon new vehicles delivery so you cannot afford a new car you contracted to buy? Also sales rep almost became offended when I tried to negotiate about new vehicle price. When I showed him estimates of value from Carvana and Car Max and asked if they were in ballpark He barely looked at them and said "sell it to them". Oh well. This is Naples where so many have so little concerns about money. read more

Took my Subaru Forester for routine servicing and within 2 daCys, the battery died. When I inquired if they had checked the battery, I was informed as the battery was "sealed" they do not check them. All cells were dry. Any and all complaints to Management went nowhere as they defended their mechanics ineptitude. Avoid the "Service" Department at all costs. First, please know that the reviews you see here are quite sanitized. Click on the link below for the reviews that are "not recommended." Those will give you the true story of how terribly dishonest and unethical this outfit is. In my case they misrepresented the cost of the car which caused me to pay a much higher price than was advertised. But worse, one of the tires was defective and went flat after only 3 months with only 500 miles on the car. There was no hole in the tire but the sidewalls were broken down. My expectation was that Subaru would replace the tire. Au contraire. Subaru of Naples said "too bad you didn't purchase road insurance. You better get a new tire from GoodYear." Unbelievable! I'm a senior citizen so I've seen a lot in my years. I won't say this is the worst business I've dealt with, but it's definitely in the top three. A couple of weeks ago my son and I went to the Devoe Subaru dealership in naples. After a test drive I decided to get a forester. The salesman told me that there were not any in stock, however he said that there were several on order. I reserved and gave them a deposit . About a week later I decided I would rather get a outback. I went back to Devoe dealership and spoke with the same salesman. He told me that he would not sale me an Outback, because I ordered the forester, which I do not. I asked he why and he told me HOW DO I KNOW YOU WONT CANCEL THE OUTBACK. I explained I was at the ford dealership and experienced the ventilated seats and I just want to up grade the car. Then he said to me, OH NOW YOU ARE SHOPPING AROUND. I asked to speak to his manager and he told me, LET ME SEE IF THE MANAGER WANTS YO TALK TO YOU. I spoke with the manager and he told me the same story about canceling the vehicle. Needless to say I walked out with my deposit. In my 60 years I have NEVER been treated so egregiously. I have never written a bad review in my life but this experience needs to be dealt with. read more

This dealership is a joke! I went in today as I'm having some serious issues with my car which could cause a serious safety problem. I sat in the dealership for over an hour with about 5 different employees walking past, one said hi as he rushed past and that was it. I decided to leave and call them instead. I called and spoke to a service advisor, who was a complete idiot. My car is a year old with low mileage and is under warranty. I asked about the issue and told him the mileage, vin, and year and asked if it was under warranty to confirm and he said I'd have to bring it in for him to tell. WHAAAT....? You have the info you should be able to tell if it is under warranty from the numbers. So I said when is the soonest you can fit the car in and got transferred to someone else. After sitting on hold for 5 minutes a girl answered and said the 19th. Well with the issues going on I could die by then in the car so I told them I'll take it somewhere else. Sad excuse for a dealer. *update* 4/17/19 due to the car popping out of gear and grinding I didn't feel safe driving it to ft Myers. I contacted Subaru corporate and they made a case for the issue. I ended up taking it back to Subaru with my husband this time and who would have thought they approached us immediately cause a man was involved with the car now. They talked us into leaving it and before we left the service manager Steve took a test drive with me to see what it does. It grinded bad in 3rd gear and I explained that's what I meant and he acknowledged the issue he felt. Fast forward to the day after and the service adviser called and said I needed to come get the car as there was nothing wrong with it and it drove as was intended. And after putting it in a lift they couldn't see anything wrong, well I'm not super car smart but I know the majority of what is probably wrong is not something you can see on a lift. I told them they needed to look again as it is not safe. Then here we are about 3 days later and same BS from suburu saying nothing is wrong. They just don't want to fix it because it's under warranty and the job pays less than a non warranty job. I'm beyond pissed at the incompetence of this dealership and techs. The MANAGER felt and saw the problem first hand when he drove but they can't fix it because the tech can't create the problem when he drives, they are aware it is periodic and not consistently doing this so when the manager felt it I was relieved it would be fixed as an employee experienced it but I guess being as the tech can't experienced it the manager feeling it doesn't matter. I'm going to contact Subaru corporate again about the incompetence and also the BBB cause this dealership is a joke. I've always driven Lexus or Toyota until now and their service department is top notch!! Will go back to Lexus after this mess. I'm * Update 2 * just picked the car up, and it drives worse. The car is somewhat stiff to shift anyway which I understand is the nature of this car but whatever they did made it worse. I should not have to exert much effort to shift and I now have to make an effort to pull it out of gear to put it in the next gear. I'll be calling Subaru corporate again tomorrow and will update accordingly. read more

I was quoted 69.95 for an oil change for my 2017 Yukon . They charged me just under 90 dollars when I questioned the charged they said my vehicle needed two more quarts of oil . They knew that when they checked me in . Why didn't they quote me the full price so I could have taken my service somewhere else . The parts department never calls back. I've tried to make several purchases also. They say they will check for the part and never get back to you. I made several calls for 3 specific parts and provided part numbers for all of them. I find this really sad because I like owning my Subaru and I spend a ton of money on OEM parts. Once again the service manager was friendly, helpful and great to work with. Highly recommend them. Sept 1st. Just purchased a new Outback and it was a great experience. Terrible service !!! I took my 19 Subaru wrx in for an appointment 7-8-2019 1pm at DeVoe Subaru of Naples to have it look at/inspected. Im having an issue with the turbo and had some concerns of the integrity of the internal parts of the turbo, engine and all other related parts like intercooler/intake valve/ etc. As I arrived to dealership I walk in and started talking to Chris Myers (who is always so helpful and always has the best customer service) and Started telling him my concerns on my car. I showed Chris a picture that was taken of my turbo on 07-06-2019 and While Chris was looking at the picture a gentleman at the time i did not know who he was and didn't introduce himself to I (Steve Service department manager) Took over started talking over Chris and told me it's not under warranty and blamed me that I caused the issue by either driving in a deep puddled of water(no water damage), tuning the computer of the car (100% stock form factory/dealership) and some other B.S.. Steve did not ask me anything about my car,he didn't look at the car or even know what car it was and was straight to the point this its not under warranty and you will have to buy a new turbo $2500 and will have to pay out more for Labor and other parts as well +$3000 ! Who is to say what cause the issue and if it won't happen again and then get blamed the every time it happen and I would have to pay it again and again. I felt so insulted, Offended and start to tear up when Steve who was very ignorant and rude ignored me and try to slandered me by putting the blame on me ,saying that I caused the issue someway somehow and the only thing he CAN Do FOR ME is for myself to buy a new turbo and related parts. By this point I was very upset so I Left the dealership! I was only at the dealership for 5 minutes before I left, While At the dealership my car never went into the service department to be inspected, looked at physically or check out for any and all other issues or damage other than what was done and talk over in the office with a picture that I was showing Chris. A week or less before (07-01-2019) this incident my vehicle went in to the same dealership for drivability issues came back that the Vehicle is perfect with no issues, when they diagnosing the vehicle with their computers there were no code founded of any sort and was run perfect and that there no issues or defects to be worried about. If my car was running perfect a week ago how would this have happen now, because it just happened but Steve was too ignorant to do any testing of any sort? Please, please Help I love Subaru and I love my wrx so much. Thanks to Steve I feel that my car that I work so hard to get is going to blowup any second and that no one cares about my car or I. If you're needing service on your Subaru I recommend looking elsewhere. Thought I'd get my car serviced while I was in the area for a while. Called to get pricing for the service and was connected to the voicemail of a "service adviser." No response whatsoever to my message. Subsequently, contacted the dealership via email on their website in a final attempt get service information. Again no response. If their lame and inept customer service is a reflection of the quality of their service work I'm probably blessed that I didn't take my Legacy there to begin. Someone needs to take this dealership over but it's a poster child of mismanagement. read more

Horrible Service Manager. I'm not a mechanic, but I truly believe that we were ripped off at this dealership. Our 2008 Subaru Outback was taken in for service. The engine light and cruise control light were blinking which indicated a problem. A valve gasket was found to be leaking and oil was getting down in to the spark plugs and causing a mis-fire of the plugs. The gasket was sealed and new spark plugs were installed at the low-low price of $700.00. I told the Service Manager that I thought the bill was high......the labor was $450 alone.....his response was "Hey, this is Naples. We pay high rent to be here. HIs whole attitude was kinda like....Hey pay-up and shut-up! It likely won't make a difference, but I plan to call Subaru's Headquarters and file a complaint. We've been proud Subaru owners and this is my wife's 4th Subaru.....she won't drive anything else. I hate to cast a negative light on the whole dealership, but the experience with their service manager left a bad taste and we WILL NOT be back there anytime soon! I'd give it 0 stars, if that were an option!! read more

Their estimates were larcenous, with one repair of a body side molding reattachment costing $700.00 per hour. My oil change took 2 1/2 hours, with a pre set appointment. Horrible place for service. Made an appointment for 9am to get first oil change and tire rotation on my brand new truck with 6000 miles on it. Was told I should take about 1 to 1 1/2 hrs, I was fine with waiting. About 2hrs 15 min later my truck is done. I leave only to feel a strong shake in my steering at highway speeds. I call and head back to DeVoe .service person tells me maybe there was a problem before I came to them, again truck has 6k miles and I only brought it to them because they called me saying I need service. I asked her to just rotate the tires back how they found the truck only to be told I'll have to wait at least another hour because they are busy. Them she says "we can make you an appointment for next week". When I tell them I can't take another day to have them fix what they've done she tells me I can go to another dealership closer to me. What? Like another dealership is going to fix whatever you did for me for free. Not my fault your service Dept over books appointments like a doctors office. They should of just taken my truck back in and rotated my tires back. I would of left ok, but now I guarantee will never go back there for anything, and anyone how asks will only get a crap review from me. read more
