Well it's a hotel. Rooms are fairly clean. Location is right next to a gas station. Pretty nice staff and simple check in and out.

The staff is amazing. Rooms are clean and they won't let bad people in there. Safe and comfortable. I typically only give reviews when I'm pissed but I had to take a moment to give the Devonshire a huge shout out and say the staff is absolutely . I had made a reservation for this motel. I had gotten a phone call from my doctors office changing the date of my surgery to the date I was to stay at the Devonshire. The management wouldn't even refund my money or even just take a percentage out. So I lost all my money. Stayed here Friday night before camping one night at Willow Spring Raceway for the 2018 Corsa Motoclassica. It's no Ritz Carlton but it's the only hotel in Rosamond. Our room was clean, there was a refrigerator, HD TV with cable, wifi, clean bathroom, shower and above all it was cheap. ~$70 a night for three people. Third year in a row I have chosen the Devonshire Inn Motel for my trackday weekend. Just a 10 minute straight shot to Willow Springs International Raceway. The owners have always been pleasant. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! My boyfriend was racing at Willow Springs and booked a room here. I wasn't too happy about it, but decided to tough it out for him. It was just one night, what could go wrong? There were random pieces of hair on the beds, towels, shower, and even the hangers in the closet. The sheets are stained yellow. It is the middle of summer, and I purposely wore leggings, long sleeves, and socks to bed (just in case). Well I guess in my restlessness from sleeping on a rock hard and uncomfortable bed, I created a little gap between my sock and leggings. I WOKE UP WITH BITES ALL OVER MY ANKLE!!! I took pictures of the bites and made them aware. DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL. I would rather wake up in the middle of the night and drive to the track than to ever spend a night here again. I really hope none of these bugs got into my bag or onto my clothes. read more

Stayed here this past weekend while the hubby was doing track days at Willow Springs. It was a last minute decision to get a hotel, and when my husband called to make the reservation, they were very accommodating, especially since we were bring our dog with us. Sadly, the devonshire's best days are well behind them. The room was rather worn, not the end of the world, but low level cleaning, and a shower that didn't work, made it difficult to be comfortable there...when I went to tell the mgr in the morning, she told me rather heatedly, that the shower mixing valve was just fixed, I replied that I wasn't really interested in discussing if it was fixed or not, I with a 4 year engineering degree couldn't make it work and get hot water out of the shower head...and asked that later that day it be demonstrated to me...how to make the shower make hot water... I come back that afternoon and miraculously, get moved to another room, because the shower, apparently...didn't work...which was a smoking room, and it smelled as such, so a quick call and I am graciously moved again. About 6pm the internet goes down, my computer and my phone won't connect. I call down, and get that they will check, hold on...sure the internets fine. It never worked for me again...the barking dog smuggled in the room at 3am and I checked, the train at 430a still no internet. When I check out early, and need a refund for the third day I won't stay there...the mgr tells me that the refund will be processed...wait for it...when the internet is up. I did get a refund for the last night. This is a tired motel, lamps missing, not particularly quiet, nor anything I can recommend. read more

It's close to the track, it has walls, a door which locks, a toilet and a shower. It is inexpensive, though certainly overpriced for what one gets, but there's nothing better in town that I could find. Sheets and towels were clean, the green carpeting on the floors concealed the stains well, water pressure and temperature in the shower were unsteady but one could still shower okay. The room smelled fine, but the heater was quite noisy and not good at reducing moisture, so the room got quite musty by the morning. WiFi is provided free of charge, by a consumer-grade wireless router set up in the main office. If you're too far away, like I was, you won't get a connection. All in all: I will stay here again when I'm running Willow Springs, no question. But this sure ain't a palace. read more

Closest motel to the track. Be sure to reserve in advance. Great place to rest your to get a good nights rest before a track day or pass out after. Unfortunately, I didn't reserve in advance for one night Saturday stay on a NASA weekend. But thankfully I got the last unreserved room. However, it was for a single bed and it was for me and my buddy... but again, thankfully they have a few roll away cots! The lady who manages the property was extremely friendly. Seems to put a lot of honest effort into the business. The room itself was... eh. for the price and convenience, I'm not expecting much anyway, and dont need much other than clean sheets, hot water and towels. There is WiFi available, but hard to get a good signal from the far end where I stayed. I assume the router is in the office at the front. Even tho Willow Springs is closer to LA than Buttonwillow and only an hour and a half away, its worth the stay than waking up early in the morning and being tired the rest of the day when youre trying to have fun and concentrating on track. oh yeah, and I hear there was a Burger King commercial filmed here.... ask for the room. read more

I would give this zero stars if I could but wanted to write a review stating the Horrible experience I had with the owner of this hotel. I reserved a room through hotels.com for a one night stay. I realized I reserved the wrong date and notified both Hotels.com and the hotel well in advance (5 days in advance to be specific). The hotel owner ensured me he moved my date to the proper one. When I showed up the day of my reservation he informed me I missed my reservation and that Hotels.com charged me already. I reminded him of our conversation and then told me he never talked to me. Extremely shady. This was the only (shitty) hotel within 45 minutes so I was forced to stay the night there. I gave him my card for the room charge and went to my room. Literally the nastiest room I have ever stayed in (I reviewed it with pictures on hotels.com). I would even take my socks off and walk on the nasty carpet. When I "checked out" early the next morning, I checked my bank account for the charge. I was again charged but not for one night, but two additional nights AND a deposit of 250 dollars!! I did not authorize!! So all in all, I was charged 90 dollars a night for 3 nights (total of $270) and a $250 security deposit to stay in a crack head infested crap palace. But it gets better!! when I disputed the charge with my bank the hotel actually won as they have a policy with the CC company for cancelation policy! Cancelation policy?!? I WAS OVERCHARGED!. This guy is a flat out crook! You've been warned. read more

Roaches, no air conditioner working, refrigerator not working, hair everywhere on the floor, beds at least 50 yrs old and to top it off my father passed the first night we were there and they wouldn't refund me for the remaining two nights!!! I had always heard that it was a very nice motel for the area. I stayed there on a Sunday night--$90 plus $20 for the dog, after being told "no dogs allowed". It made Motel 6 look like the Ritz. Lights don't work, lamps, don't work, bed has pieces setup to trip you, bathroom door unpainted for who knows how long, towels old and rough, courtyard has all the charm of a prison. Management is not keeping the place even to the standards of the Bates Motels (At least Norman was good about cleaning the bathroom). Management feigns cluelessness about the poor, seedy and frankly decrepit condition. I think they refuse to spend any money to keep it up, so fewer stay, so less money to fix up, etc... I realize you come here to be close to the track. But seriously? It feels unsafe, unsound and I made a huge mistake staying here. I also was bitten multiple times by some thing while staying there. It's your dollar, and if you don't care about staying in a complete "flea-trap", fine. I stayed her 2 years ago. was okay, but this recent visit was very un happy. no battery in smoke detector, no light bulb in lamp, trash on floor, empty boose bottle in closet, low shower head, stiff towels felt like I was drying off with sandpaper. Heater was noisy, no breakfast unless a pastry and coffee is breakfast, price online was less than what I paid in person on top of that they put us right by the stairs, people running up and down all night. will not stay here again if I can help it. needs a lot of up grades :( read more

Closest lodging to the track! It's busy (make reservations) yet quiet, the rooms are clean and have free wifi, a microwave and fridge. With that setup and an Albertsons a half mile away, I did not need to venture out to the local restaurants. Very helpful and kind staff, too. The lobby is filled with signed photos of racing, celebs, you name it. It's fun to look through. It's a basic motel with abounding pride of ownership. I will be back. read more

Mona, was very helpful and pleasant. They had a large area for me to lock up my crane. All the usual stuff in the room. It was a small older unit but very affordable and clean. The beds were very comfortable and extremely quiet. No creeking what soever. I get up a lot at night and never saw, not one bug. I was truly amazed. I also really liked the pillows. All I can say is, we relocated here for a job. We made reservations to book for 2 weeks. We called and cancelled the plans before the reservation date,provided the company paid for our accommodations when we arrived. We were contacted by management, informing us we were charged for the room. She called it a curtesy call to inform us. Regardless of us canceling our appointment. She denied any call from us cancelling our reservation, and further refused to give us the name of the owner so we could speak to him or her personally. We had to return in person with phone records to clear the situation and a return of our money. I am not a hateful person, but this treatment is works of a crook. Please show up in person if you decide to break plans. Period. read more

I was tired and I want to sleep with my husband, we saw a sign of Devonshire Inn Motel. Our eyes closing and we cannot drive anymore. We came to this motel. Price was reasonable. We went to our room wow smell good in the room. After two minutes hotel manager called and ask my husband if we need help any time customer service is open 24x7. We slept well. In the morning we have a good breakfast and we were back to the road. Nice motel and superb customer service, we recommend everyone price is right and service is excellence. read more

I've stayed in a lot of small desert town hotels over the years, so I have good reason for calling the Devonshire a mixed bag at best. It has the essentials of a hotel: bed, bathroom, tv, microwave, mini fridge. The staff is courteous, too. But this place is Cheeaaap. Most of the fixtures and furniture are in a run down state and should have been replaced a few years ago. This includes light bulbs in the lamps, cabinet faces and mini fridge knobs. The carpets could use a serious deep cleaning or replacement and the comforters look moth bitten or thread bare in spots. They used to have a pool and hot tub outside, but those have been filled with compacted soil.This isn't a national chain branch by any means, but I have to draw a line when the internet is slower than a 1998 dial up connection in Tabor, SD. What's more, when the wifi fails to connect the front desk tells you to call the 800 number of their provider instead of handling it themselves. Frustrating. That being said, the shower had good water pressure, and I slept soundly enough. I hope they have plans to renovate soon for their sake. In the end, clean enough for a few nights working away from home, but needing some TLC. PS- fix your dang internet! 25 min to load a web page and reliable connectivity issues all night long. I was very satisfied with the customer service at the front desk. They were able to lower the price from the high pricing I got online. The room was well kept and tidy. The bathroom was clean and the showerhead did stall a bit, but if you mess with it enough you can get a very adequate stream for your shower. The free internet is fast and reliable. I do not stay in motels much because I feel as if I would be rather uncomfortable, but my stay here was satisfactory and I would definitely return if the chance presented itself again. read more

My mother stayed at the Devonshire during a heat wave in Rosamond at which time her swamp cooler was broken. She stayed two nights and the owners took excellent care of her. They personally checked on her well being several times and treated her like family. It was comforting to know she was being this well cared for. My husband and I live in his big rig, but wanted somewhere to stay while visiting family in Rosamond for Christmas. We booked our room here through Booking.com, but forgot to request a ground-floor room since I can't climb stairs. The owner was extremely accommodating and, not only gave us a downstairs room, but also gave us one as close to the front-row parking as possible. We were pleased with the size of the room, the large selection of TV channels available, the comfort of the bed, and especially the water pressure in the shower. Our only complaints were that the bathroom was extremely "tired" looking. The tile seriously needed an upgrade or a really good deep cleaning around the edges. Additionally, the "free breakfast" consisted only of cheap pastries, coffee, and hot cocoa. I don't eat sweets for breakfast, so the breakfast didn't have any benefit to me. Bagels or at least toast or English muffins with peanut butter would be a great addition. Overall, we will likely stay here again, but we do hope they at least address the issue of the run-down condition of the bathroom. read more
