I just had my wedding on June 25th, 2011 and I used Devynn's Garden. I have always loved their 3 florist shops and knew I wanted to use them once I got engaged. I meet with Cyndi and she was sooooo awesome. She was so easy to work with and based off my pictures... knew immediately what I wanted and handled it beautifully. The flowers were just amazing. Got my girl some flowers here. This place is so easy to get in and out of on the way home from work or a long day. I stop for flowers and then go across the street and get us each a latte' to go at Starbucks. Coffee and flowers are her favorite. The service at this shop is awesome. They can make a great bouquet of flowers for any budget. I've also picked up some cute little gifts and cards here too. The building is little shabby and understated so it took me many drive bys to finally stop and check it out. I recommend this flower shop to everyone. I came in at 3:20 on a Sunday (4/7/13). They close at 4:00. Most of the shop had already been put away and locked up. The worker barely said hello to me and obviously did not want to help me. I will stick to the Devyns Gardens in long Beach and Seal Beach. They have been nothing but nice and welcoming. I won't come back to the Sunset Store again. read more

I would definitely NOT recommend this place if you are planning a wedding. I had a bad experience with Cyndi Turk, the owner. She had set up a meeting for Saturday morning, so we drove from an hour away to get to Sunset Beach by 9am and she never showed up. She sent a very apologetic email and offered to pay for my bouquet. That was nice.....but then on my wedding day she was supposed to have attached a picture of the groom's father who was deceased to my bouquet. Well, when the flowers showed up, there was no picture (which I had once again driven all the way from LA to give her the day before). The delivery people had no idea what was going on, and eventually had to drive all of the way back to the shop to get the photo, which they then just stuck on the bouquet. Very disappointing. The only saving grace was that the flowers were very pretty. Perhaps they are better for smaller scale events, but definitely NOT a wedding. Overall the communication was very poor and she did not seem very involved or interested in the whole process. read more
