We just recently coordinated a wedding with them and when they arrived they were organized, easy to work with and knew exactly what elements fit and how to work with their florals. We were recently married on a sort of short timeline. I was guided to Karla by the wedding coordinator at Shady Canyon and the flowers were absolutely spectacular. I simply sent some photos of arrangements I liked and after a few emails about number of center pieces, boutonnières, flower girls, bridesmaids, etc. she sent me back a really reasonable proposal. The day of the wedding, the flowers had been delivered and placed exactly as agreed to and they were GORGEOUS!!! She worked very closely with my mother to design the arrangements as we had a very specific vision for the flowers. Karla, owner and operator of Elegant by Design, is a top notch professional floral designer. I HIGHLY recommend her for ANY floral event needs, especially weddings. She has a very artistic eye, extremely pleasant to work with, and completely dependable. She made my vision for my wedding become a reality and then some. To do this she listened to my ideas and collaborated with me with ease. I had a color palette and theme for my wedding and she provided so many ideas for flowers and décor accordingly. She provided a very reasonable estimate and stuck to it. The quality of the flowers were superb. They looked completely fresh and in the colors we approved. The vases and decorations were pristine. They were on time for setup and had everything in place well before the guests started arriving. When her staff delivered my bouquet to my room I just cried tears of joy. It was the most beautiful bridal bouquet I could have imagined. Karla partnered with me in creating the most gorgeous floral and broach bouquet. I provided her the mounted wire stemmed broaches and shells and she added the flowers and assembled it altogether. The result was amazing. The wedding ceremony flowers were to die for. My guests were telling me they had never seen such beautiful arrangements at a wedding in their entire lives. The alter bouquets were full and dripping with vines and flowers and crystals as we had planned. She sourced beautiful sea shells from Florida to go in the flower vases. The scroll pattern of rose petals was just heavenly. Everything from the ceremony was re-purposed for the reception. The top arch bouquets decorated our sweetheart table. The vase centerpieces were placed on tables. It was all perfectly planned out. She even made custom cocktail table centerpieces to fit our motif. I was referred to her by my wedding coordinator who was very in tune to my needs. If you are a wedding coordinator you must get to know Karla and her work. If I ever plan flowers for an event again, I will definitely come back to Karla and Elegant by Design. Karla was amazing! We were recommended to her by a friend just a few months before our wedding. She made all of my worries go away. Our ceremony was in a nature center and I wanted to not only add flowers but other small decorations, but didn't want to make family have to set it up. I went in for help with bouquets and boutonnieres and flowers for the ceremony, and left incredibly happy. After talking to her, she knew exactly my vision and offered to put it all into play. I trusted her so much that I didn't even see ANY of it until the day of. My bouquet came out absolutely gorgeous, I was awestruck. She put together decorations, a lace archway, flowers in mason jars down the aisle, signs I had made, vintage suitcases and trunks, etc. They let me drop pictures and other things off days before and the whole staff was amazing and seemed as excited about my wedding as I was. All I can say is thank you so much, Karla! I got married on 7/17/15. I never cared too much for flowers, so my budget wasn't really that high. We were doing a smallish wedding (around 70 people). Being that it was an out of town wedding, about 90% of our guests were flying in, so I allocated most of our budget to host different events for our guests and pretty little to flowers. Karla worked very well with our budget and had gave us some amazing looking flowers. She just has an eye for flowers. Our wedding colors were yellow and gray. I don't know how Karla did it, but she were able to incorporate both those colors into our flowers. My BMs were all in awe of their bouquets that they all kept theirs and took them home with them. One is even taking it back to Asia with her. Our ceremony flowers were absolutely stunning. I was so happy with the flowers, and like I said, I never really cared for flowers.
