Sadly it looks like it being run by a 3 year old. First of all the appointment I had was a year in the making. The referral took way longer than is actually acceptable by regulation. On top of this when I check in for my appointment guess what. No profile was created for me. No chart was started. No appointment was scheduled. For the procedure it is risky to go so long without eating and since it was scheduled very early. Now since they scheduled other people at the same time. I was placed on standby for whenever they had the time to see me. They blamed it on a change of softwear that didn't transfer all the patients correctly. Advice to management and scheduling if your going to be doing a system transfer. Make a list of scheduled patients and transfer manually those that didn't successfully transfer. I performed a change like that at my clinic with thousands of patients and none of this happened at all since we manually added those who didn't get transferred. This is also going to be reported since there are minimum medical standards that should be followed and where not. If your reading this please never come here. Your life is on the line and they don't care if you die they just want money.

But when my glands were so swollen that they impeded my bite and caused intense pain in my ears, I had no choice but to find another ENT. But I didn't see just any ENT. I saw Dr. Michael Mitchell at Vancouver ENT. He listened and examined and did something no other expert had tried: he put me on a 2-week round of antibiotics, hypothesizing that I had a low-grade infection that had persisted through the years. I returned to Dr. Mitchell's office a month after our visit, and for the first time in years, my glands were consistently soft, and the swelling had not returned. And 2 months after the first visit, I've been asymptomatic. Dr. Mitchell did what no other doctor--some being experts in the field--had done and had been able to accomplish. I highly recommend Dr. Mitchell for his medical skills, his ability to listen carefully without interruption and to think outside the box, and his sweet, kind, and caring nature. He is an asset to the ENT community.

I needed to see a doctor quite desperately but had put it off for well over a month because I didn't know where to go, if I could afford it, and all the other unknowns when you don't have a primary care and health plan backing you up. I found the Alameda Clinic through googling and gave it a chance because of all the wonderful reviews. I showed up at around 9:20 am (walk in hours start at 9am). Dr Dan greeted me personally, I was immediately ushered back to his exam room, we discussed my issue (I have permanent 100% hearing loss in one ear and recently my "good ear" was only operating at about 20%), he did an exam to confirm the problem, and then he fixed it. During this time he mentioned a couple times that there was paperwork but I had yet to do more than tell him my name. Afterwards, almost as an afterthought, he asked if I minded filling out his form. His whole approach is so refreshing, personal and just plain human...of course I didn't mind. The form he handed me was one sided, covered the very basics and took about a minute to fill out. When I met him out in the lobby again, we talked about lychee (a Chinese fruit) and he gave me a taste of something similar. I asked him if he needed the paperwork (I'd left it in the exam room), he waved it off, I asked him how much I owed him, he asked if I could afford $80, I gladly said yes, paid him, asked him if I could give him a hug and was out the door. The whole thing from start to finish, took about 30 minutes, but to say that it was life changing for me is not an exaggeration. Dr Dan is unlike any other doctor i have ever gone to. He is a healer who is genuinely interested in and enjoys engaging with his patients. And I love that he incorporates the things that he is passionate about into your encounter with him. I have since recommended him to everyone I know and will definitely be back the next time the need arises.
