But when my glands were so swollen that they impeded my bite and caused intense pain in my ears, I had no choice but to find another ENT. But I didn't see just any ENT. I saw Dr. Michael Mitchell at Vancouver ENT. He listened and examined and did something no other expert had tried: he put me on a 2-week round of antibiotics, hypothesizing that I had a low-grade infection that had persisted through the years. I returned to Dr. Mitchell's office a month after our visit, and for the first time in years, my glands were consistently soft, and the swelling had not returned. And 2 months after the first visit, I've been asymptomatic. Dr. Mitchell did what no other doctor--some being experts in the field--had done and had been able to accomplish. I highly recommend Dr. Mitchell for his medical skills, his ability to listen carefully without interruption and to think outside the box, and his sweet, kind, and caring nature. He is an asset to the ENT community.

I chose a different one for my allergy follow up, and was given Dr. Jeffrey Davis. I can only guess he's what "complainers" get for complaining. AWFUL. Awwwwwwwful. He DID the scope so that's something. But he was a condescending, snarky, repellent jerk, with a laughably bad bedside manner, who completely invalidated me as a patient. I just came home from a follow-up visit with him, (Oh yeah, got him twice) and it was just as bad. Actually, no, it was worse. I left angry. It took everything I had not to tell him off. I highly advise anyone looking for an ENT to check out somewhere else.

What a waste of money! I saw Dr Jeffery Davis. This guy talks down at you when you ask questions and his lack of passion and care is astonishing! I felt like I was wasting his time honestly. Here is the thing; if I knew what was going on with me, I would not gone to see a specialist in the first place! If you get irritated by a patient asking questions to try and understand whats going on, maybe it time for a new job. I understand you have to be efficient to make money, but brushing off patients is hardly being efficient. I seriously don't know how someone with such an attitude manages to stay in business. He was very frank and detailed on what he was doing and why. It helped me to understand why he was administering the tests, etc. It probably was more thorough then my annual check-up. He was very concern and asked questions to help us get to my issue. It's been only a day, but I feel 75% better than when I came to see Dr. Rydlund. I can breath better, my nose isn't running every 5 minutes, and I have a better balance then a few days ago. He also gave me a lollipop for being a good sport. You always a kid when it comes to great doctors who cares about your well-being. I highly recommend Dr. Rydlund if you have an ear, nose, throat infection you need cured.

Before going in I wrote a one page summary of my condition and its history. Dr. Joe was very attentive, he carefully read my summary and paid attention to what I told him. He patiently and thoughtfully answered my questions and was very practical in his advice. It has been 3 days since my visit and I am getting relief based upon his recommendations. Subsequent conversation with the patient revealed that the specialist was rushed, completely disinterested in the problem, didn't listen to all symptoms, and abruptly advised that "nothing is wrong" and to ignore the symptoms. This is completely inexcusable, and is extremely disappointing.
