Besides doing an initial spray to begin my service, I called to ask that Oscar to spray another area when he came out the next scheduled time. Guess what??? He came out the same day that I called in!!! I am NOT kidding you! The areas are ANT-FREE! I am in a mobile home & for some reason, the ants are more than prevalent. Not any more. Wish I didn't have to use them, cause bugs yuck, but I have used Dewey's bi-monthly service for a few years now. When I got what I considered an infestation, Dewey was responsive and informative. Making the appointment was basic not 1000 questions. They got me in on the date that I needed with no problem. They work with me on a few issues that I had with no judgment and they really made me feel very comfortable in making the decision to call the pest control. The gentleman George that came to do my house did a great job after spraying my house he was by his truck for a good minute shaking off clothes. I used to say yes absolutely but since their tech Rich left it's a no. Everything he did for my property seemed to have been undone and all the pests came back. I've called a few times to schedule MORE indoor services because the previous indoor ones didn't make any difference but didn't get a call back. So I canceled my service via answering service, I did not receive a confirmation or a courtesy call, fine but I did call to confirm it myself later. I had them for over 5 years. read more

This review is long over due. We've had Dewey since 2017. In 2017 we had a bad cockroach problem. The cockroaches were making their way into our house. Thankfully, Dewey was able to get rid of them. We still get some here and there but by the time they reach the inside of our home they're usually dead. Anytime I've needed them urgently they've always made it to my house in a timely manner to spray or help with a problem. Most recently, we had a rat in our garage. Richard came that same week. Richard is very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us advice on what to do in case the rat comes back or if there is more than one. He closed up the holes where the rat was coming through and setup some traps. The rat was caught and dead the very next day. I highly recommend Dewey to all my family and friends in the area. I know I can count on them whenever I have a pest problem and they're always here promptly and very knowledgeable. read more

Mosquito abatement is an extra charge to the normal residential service. It was a deal too good to be true. My house got worse after they started service, noticed a variety of spiders but predominantly black widows, red ants, and mice more often. Felt like I was just flushing my money down the crapper. All concerns were left unanswered or more money was needed to fulfill the requests. I didn't have this issue with Orkin and would rather pay the extra $50 to get the job done right. read more

It was until, their employee quit, and the new person stopped coming. They did not come , I had to text them to come and charged me for a month even when I didn't receive service. I called and the manager would no work with me. I refused to pay for a service they did not do, they still charged me and sent me to collections. Very wrong of them!! One of the Dewey employees by the name of William came to our door today and offered a service to eliminate all the bugs, but the contract would lock us in for a year. I told him to come back later, to which he did. After thinking it through, I let him know I wasn't interested solely for the purpose of having to be committed to something for 12 months and would have to pay the difference if we ended sooner. After I said we're not interested, William went from being a happy go lucky guy to showing nothing but frustration in his face. He told me, "I thought this was something you were interested in" to which I responded yes, but we aren't interested at the moment (not to mention we were un the middle of dinner and our dogs were going crazy from him ringing the doorbell). He then said, "Okay, well feel free to contact us next year and pay full price for the service instead." As I was turning, he said he needed to give me something. I thought he was going to give a business card, but instead he pulled out the paperwork, ripped it up in front of me and said to throw it out in our garbage can since it has our information and we're no longer interested in the service. I get it. Business is business, but the way the situation was handled was uncalled for, unprofessional, and petty. It was rude and disrespectful. The reaction alone is a reason to not sign up for any services under Dewey Pest Control. William clearly needs to improve his customer service skills. read more

I had their service and they were supposed to come out every other month to spray my home.They didn't show up on my first spray so I had to call them and have them come and spray a day later. They finally showed up 1 time and I never heard from them again. Ive texed them to come respray my home but no response until recently they charged me $160 and didn't provide any service. We had an employee come to our house to solicit their service. He wanted me to hand him a check right then and there for doing nothing I told him to come back tomorrow and I will give him a check after he does the work. He never came back. I called and spoke to a nice women on the phone and scheduled another time for them to come. Well she lied and they never came. I wasted 2 days waiting for them to come and spray for pests. I had to recently cancel my service with Dewey. We have not been happy with the service for a while but kept hoping that it would get better. It started off really well the first person was great his name was Bobby. He always called the day before and cleaned the cobwebs sprayed and had everything under control. Then we got the new guy. Over the past two years he has not sprayed cleaned the cobwebs etc. We have even called in asking for him to focus on certain things, and this guy always has an excuse why he couldn't do it, or didn't do it. I'm sorry but I am paying for a service and not getting what I paid for. I don't expect not to see bugs, but I do not expect to see a lot of bugs, cobwebs, slugs. My wife called in and asked for someone else to come out instead. And if that wasn't an option please don't say anything to him. Because he would still be the one coming out. "And he was not very pleasant after a past complaint. When we had a lot of field roaches after he had just came out, and after looking back at the cameras he did not spray the back yard he just walked around and left." Anyway they told my wife he was the only person working in our area so....? Unfortunately they did tell him and his supervisor was going to come out with him.... Awkward.
