Took my car in at 930am and they said it would take 3-4 hours to put new tires on. My car wasn't ready until 3pm. I was in need of my air conditioning to be repaired since a chunk of I-75 broke off and went up under the hood of my Honda putting a hole in the condenser. I always used the dealership because I was affraid of scams...finding a good machanic is like finding a good dentist and accountant-it's detrimental! Anyway when I came into this repair shop it was clean and friendly. The guy at the desk told me upfront what I needed and even told me of other repairs the Honda dealer failed to inform me of, and showed me why I needed the repairs. I also needed a new windshield. Again, lovely Michigan weather had ruined our cars. The guy at the desk suggested I repair my windshield at Fenton Glass down the street, and even offered to drive my car down there after the repair is complete. How thoughtful!!! When I dropped my baby, uh I mean Honda, i was very worried of added expenses and surprises and even informed the guy my passenger side mirror is loose and to be careful. Around 1:00pm, THE SAME DAY!!, I recieved a call my Honda was all fixed and ready! WOW!!!! That was quick! So I went to pick up my car. When I arrived, there were no surprise fees, in fact my repairs were about $40 bucks cheaper then the estimate! I was also informed that they fixed my mirror from being loose-no charge! I was so impressed by this place, my fear of privately owned repair shop is over! Our Family's new place to take our cars. The next day my husband got new tires we were so impressed! read more

Recently, I found myself with a dead car and 40+ miles from home or my regular repair facility in Novi, MI. Since it would have cost 2 fortunes to tow it to Novi I called my shop mgr who said I should go to Fenton, MI and use Dewey's Goodyear Auto Center. My guy said that I should go to Dewey's in Fenton because they have a very good business ethic something you do not find a lot of any more. So I called Dewey's and they recommended a certain towing company called Fenton Towing who promptly arrived in 20 minutes and that was great response time since they were 10 miles away. The tow truck operator was very polite and I can see why Dewey put his neck on the line and referred Fenton Towing to me. I live in a wheelchair and my mother has a walker he handled us with kit gloves and I am very impressed with that towing service. Next came the day that you get the DOA news my car would need $4,000.00 of work! Jerry the owner said that he would recommend we NOT get it fixed because even after sinking all that money into heavy engine work exhaust and the dreaded catalytic converter along with many other issues because the under carriage was in bad shape and wouldn't last much longer. Jerry (owner) said that we should take the money we would have spent on the car and us it for a down payment on a new car. This came from someone in business to make money and a stranger in town that I may not ever see again gave me a straight answer and I think everyone should know that Jerry and Neil (service write-up) are straight shooters and will not take advantage of a person down on their luck. We did as Jerry recommended and bought a van to haul my wheelchair around in and we asked Jerry how much we owe them and he said nothing. I had to have him repeat it 3 times because I was floored by the price $0.00. Jerry had time and diagnostic equipment and they had money into the job but he said nope no charge. I asked one final thing if I could leave it there for a week or less because my nephew wanted to tinker around with it use it to teach his boy how to fix he said not a problem. Conclusion - I cannot say too much thanx to Jerry and his crew because it is just extraordinary to find that kind of ethic. I guess that is why he's been there providing services for 40 Years. You don't stay in business that long by screwing people over and in ones life i have been in that hot seat more than a few times told more was wrong to pad the bill. Jerry again thanx for the great staff and keep up that same business ethic that I found to be special. I called Jerry to come and get an alignment next time I am at that place where my car broke down at. I have no problem with driving the extra miles for such a great auto center! My wife took our hummer in for a diagnostic check, mechanic came back with an estimate of 2300.00 for a new tranfser case assembly. Took it to another mechanic near work and come to find out it was only a wheel bearing, 450.00. this mechanic tried to take advantage of my wife and her kind gentle nature, everyone has to make a living, but not like this. Needed headlight replaced, we tried and couldn't do it because of rusted stuck bolts and had a narrow time frame today because of college classes, they had me bring it right in to check it out to see if they could get to it from underneath or if it would take longer, we were out with a new headlight bulb in record time! Whole family has been taking our cars to Dewie's for YEARS. Always did an excellent job looking over the general condition of the car, including whatever issue you have. But now, they don't even communicate what you tell them to the mechanic, so it's a back-and-forth trip just for one issue! They also used to to a general overview of your car before having you come and get it, but now, all they say is it's done and come get it. Very disappointed of late. Not sure if there are some "staffing issues" going on or what, but guys, time to figure it out! read more
