A feral cat that comes to me for food was again at my door, too afraid to come in. I called two hours before appointment to let them know what I was doing and they were very understanding. Another bad weather day I was to meet them at petsmart. I live in camillus and went to that one since they know I live there and the volunteer never once said which one, she was in clay when I called from camillus location. She then wanted me to drive to her house which I said I couldn't get there since I had a ride. I got a text that she was done with me and would give the cat to someone else. I wasn't going to say anything, but a month later the cat is still available.

I just wanted to send you a "Big Thank You"…read more The process of adopting Snowy (cat) from you and your foster organization - NYCATCOAL was efficient, smooth and quick. I appreciated it because I was so looking forward to having her join me and my family quickly. As a family member now, she is wonderful, a doll. Snowy is adapting quickly. Within a couple of hours she was walking around, eating and doing her necessities in her litter box. She follows me around like a puppy. She is still getting use to Bentley (dog) but has no issues with him. And he, none at all with her. We have set Snowy up for a general vet appointment for Tuesday, April 22nd. Basically, to establish a relationship with her and the Rockaway Veterinary Service Vets. Thank you once again for putting your trust in me and my family. Our adoption of Snowy is a serious and lifetime commitment regardless of anything to us. We are hoping that our reimbursement/contribution of $300 dollars which is nominal will help save other cats like Snowy. In the future, I would like to donate to your cat fostering organization. Please let me know how and where I can send our donation? Thank you again for Snowy. Our adoption of her means the world to us!

I have experienced this company for many years and come to find out after paying for so many years, my pet got lost and they couldn't do anything about it. There are other companies that will register you for no fee or just one flat fee. Get your self a good tracking device for your pet. Best way to recover your pet and know where the pet is at in real time. Also let me say that home again or the sub company that works for them called padcare are exposing your information and your credit will be compromised if you are doing business with them. It happened to me and others I had recommended to them in the past. Horrible company to enroll your beloved pets. I requested to speak to a manager and the woman I spoke to was very rude an unprofessional. I requested to speak to the padcare owner and she never got back to me. I'm glad that my pet was found by an individual who some how knew my dog through a vets office where I take my pet, and they were able to out two and two together and find me as the owner.

We have had Home Again for the past 4 years and have been repeatedly disappointed in the service…read more Here are just a few incidents we have encountered: 1. UNRELIABLE WEBSITE AND PROBLEMS CREATING A PASSWORD 2. TOO MUCH UNNECESSARY RED TAPE FOR TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP: Long story short - I adopted a dog whose former owner abandoned him. They wouldn't transfer ownership until I pointed out that the former owner had not paid and I would pay. That says a lot IMHO. 3. POOR QUALITY MERCHANDISE: I ordered ID tags for each of my pets at a whopping $23.00 apiece. The tags were poor quality and I ended up replacing them with another company for $1.95 each. 4. NOT VERY HELPFUL WHEN YOU REALLY NEED THEM: The people at Home Again could care less about you or your pet. What they want is good publicity and lots of your money. They aren't really set up to actually help in a time of crisis. My advice is to stay away from them - Microchips are a great idea, but you should look for a different company. Read this message I sent to them concerning how we lost our dog and how he was recovered. Home Again never even gave us the courtesy of a response: MAX COMES HOME IN SPITE OF HOME AGAIN We were on Christmas Vacation in the Arkansas River Valley in Nathrop, Colorado. We had rented a vacation house for the week and were having a relaxing time in the forest. It was Christmas evening and we were just getting ready for our holiday meal when every pet owner's worst fear came true. My husband took our dogs for a potty break before supper when they spotted a herd of deer. Our Max bolted after them into San Isabel National Forest. We were frightened and immediately tried to contact Home Again. Unfortunately, the Home Again site was down and we wasted precious time struggling with the malfunctioning website. I tried again and again to log on to the site, all to no avail. We ended up calling Home Again on their toll-free number to report our lost dog, but as far as I know, no action was ever taken by Home Again. We never heard from them and received no help at all, other than the sympathy of the telephone service rep. Our attempts to contact Home Again cost us a whole hour while it was growing dark and our lost dog was getting farther and farther away. Meanwhile, we began searching the backroads in the forest and notified all the people who lived in the area - both by word of mouth and a local radio station who announced our plight via a Public Service Announcement. Our landlord is a Forest Ranger and was familiar with all the back roads.so his help was invaluable. Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort put all their employees on alert. All the neighbors left their Christmas dinners to join the search. After a few hours, our Max was spotted and we knew the direction in which he was headed. We followed the trail, and soon, we could see him in a driveway, but he was disoriented and didn't recognize us in the dark. Fortunately, he didn't run away and when I got close enough for him to know who I was, he ran to me in great joy and relief. We were so happy to have our little Max back! And we were disappointed that in our time of crisis, Home Again was unable to offer any help at all, and actually hindered our search because of the time we lost trying to log onto a website that was down. We aren't very impressed with Home Again. Had it not been for our Landlord, the neighbors who lived in the area, the local radio station, and the employees at Mt. Princeton, we might have lost our little Max for good. It was the willingness of helpful people who left their Christmas celebrations to help us find a small dog in a large forest that made a world of difference. Home Again did nothing.

The technicians and front desk staff were very nice, but the doctor was dismissive and seemed annoyed when I had questions about my cat's care. What really got me was that he flipped out over her weight (half a pound over the standard) and made me feel stupid for how I was feeding her. He insisted on me bringing her back in a month later to weigh her. I only consented because she needed follow-up shots and a nail trim, so I had to come back anyway. When I came in, they refused to let me come back to the room to observe how they trimmed her nails, making me stay in my car. The reason they gave was that the doctor wanted to close early and my appointment was preventing that (my appointment was two hours before the end of business) - there was no COVID related reason to make me stay out. The doctor was displeased that my cat hadn't lost enough weight to satisfy him and made his tech run messages between us about how I adjusted her food, which was crazy because it was freezing out, and she had no coat on. He then made a follow up appointment for another weigh-in without my consent. I had it at that point, found another vet, and canceled my appointment with him. I'm not going back unless it's an emergency.
