We came a very long distance to adopt the cat, she argued with me because we did not have the" perfect conditions" set up for adopting , gave no constructive advice about where to go locally to find veterinary care that was immediate, then threatened that the pet my son had picked and played with for over 10 minutes..we could not have, could not put a deposit on...and that the pet would more than likely be adopted. Furthermore that we should consider adoption agencies closer to our home. What an absolutely nasty idiot she is, and she should be fired. We have so much to offer the animal, such a big and beautiful house with a loving family ...SMH. Fire that I'll gotten thing that pretended to care...hating on animals and kids! Never go here.

Financially we were able to give a donation during the holiday season in addition to buying all the essentials to bring our girl home. But it is nice that they have events such as this where families who might not be able to part with all that money up front can take home a new family member, spoil them a little, and hopefully give back throughout the year rather than just paying the adoption fee. I was impressed by how clean the cat room was and how happy the cats seemed. The volunteers didn't seem to know much about the individuals and the lady working at the front desk was a bit brash. I also do love that it is a non kill shelter. The only thing that brought it down to a 4 was just the harsh attitude behind the desk.

A feral cat that comes to me for food was again at my door, too afraid to come in. I called two hours before appointment to let them know what I was doing and they were very understanding. Another bad weather day I was to meet them at petsmart. I live in camillus and went to that one since they know I live there and the volunteer never once said which one, she was in clay when I called from camillus location. She then wanted me to drive to her house which I said I couldn't get there since I had a ride. I got a text that she was done with me and would give the cat to someone else. I wasn't going to say anything, but a month later the cat is still available.

I just wanted to send you a "Big Thank You"…read more The process of adopting Snowy (cat) from you and your foster organization - NYCATCOAL was efficient, smooth and quick. I appreciated it because I was so looking forward to having her join me and my family quickly. As a family member now, she is wonderful, a doll. Snowy is adapting quickly. Within a couple of hours she was walking around, eating and doing her necessities in her litter box. She follows me around like a puppy. She is still getting use to Bentley (dog) but has no issues with him. And he, none at all with her. We have set Snowy up for a general vet appointment for Tuesday, April 22nd. Basically, to establish a relationship with her and the Rockaway Veterinary Service Vets. Thank you once again for putting your trust in me and my family. Our adoption of Snowy is a serious and lifetime commitment regardless of anything to us. We are hoping that our reimbursement/contribution of $300 dollars which is nominal will help save other cats like Snowy. In the future, I would like to donate to your cat fostering organization. Please let me know how and where I can send our donation? Thank you again for Snowy. Our adoption of her means the world to us!

When we arrived, there were a wide array of carriers available and we weren't sure which one to buy. One of the store employees went above and beyond to help us find the right carrier, even going online to double check our airline's size regulations and recommending other items that we might need. She also opened up another register to personally cash us out rather than have us wait in line. I was surprised (in a good way) at how much she was willing to help us. The store is apparently being renovated right now, but the dust and dirt is out of control. I worry about the birds and small animals in the store breathing that in 24/7, as well as the employees. The carrier we selected was absolutely covered in dust and dirt, to the point that the employee who helped us got a duster to brush it off for us and it created a huge cloud. Everything we bought from the food and water bowl attachments to the carrier was covered in a layer of dust and dirt. Also, the floor is unsightly and in disrepair. I hope that it's included in the renovation project, because it really needs updating. Even with the renovations in progress, the level of dust and dirt on the merchandise is unacceptable. There needs to be at least one employee dusting and facing the items on the shelves daily. I've worked plenty of retail jobs, and most of my former managers would have flipped out if our merchandise was that dirty, renovations in progress or not. I would shop here again, but not until the renovations are done, the shelves and displays are wiped down, and the merchandise is properly cleaned.

Dog Grooming: Things started out okay with one of the groomers, but it got worse over time. The…read morewomen in the area (no men) spend their time laughing, joking, gossiping not paying close attention to their dogs. No management cameras to monitor groomers. First couple of appointments were fine. Then, on the first bad occasion, the groomer used a shampoo that made my dog's hair fall out in small clumps. When I questioned her, she said that my dog probably had an allergy. Okay, I can understand that might happen. The next appointment, when I returned, my dog's fur had been gouged on her backside by clippers (this was later verified by a groomer at a professional salon). When I asked the groomer what happened, no apology, no explanation, just "It'll grow back." I was not happy and when I questioned the groomer about why it happened, I got no plausible explanation. I left and decided not to return unless absolutely necessary. I do not recommend PetSmart for dog grooming. There's too much staff playtime going on instead of paying close attention to the dogs. Managers are not monitoring the groomers. Sadly, PetSmart could be a top-notch company with great employees, but the people chosen for this location are poor examples of professionalism.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly caring, compassionate, and communicative. They took the time to explain what was going on with my cat and kept me updated throughout her stay, which meant a lot during a stressful situation. I noticed some reviews criticizing wait times and costs, but that's simply the nature of emergency and acute care. Patients are triaged based on severity, and the team is doing their best to treat animals that may be in life-threatening situations. My cat was treated with kindness and professionalism, and I truly felt that the team cared about her well-being. Emergency situations are never easy, but I'm very thankful this hospital was there when we needed them. Thank you to the doctors, technicians, and support staff for the work you do.
