Match making was horrible. A group of friends and got matched up against semi-professional looking players. (If you own a paintball jersey and your own gun, I consider that semi-serious/ and semi professional) These semi-professional almost looked like staff members hunted my group of friends and a child's birthday party down like we were prey. Absolutly horrible experience. Do not go here it is a waste of money. Some of the staff is hostile and aggressive while one of the refs put their hands on me. This is not the only problem with this place. The upper management also allowed this to happen with no consequence for the hostile and aggressive refs. All they did was try to justify their actions. On top of that paint is extremely over priced. I would recommend going to Fun On The Run, Paintball Fit, Maddogs, or Gat Splat. I will not be going back to this park again and I will make sure my friends and family don't either. read more

I've driven past this place (well the road that leads down to the place) for years and had never stopped in however thanks to a Groupon, I finally made the turn down that road. So I'm not a paintball enthusiast (if you have ever been shot by one in close range you'll understand) so when I was told that we were going here for this I wasn't too thrilled, however this wasn't any paintball session - we were going on a zombie hunt!! We basically rode on the back of a truck shooting at "zombies" who weren't shooting back at us - so win win for me! The trip took about 25 minutes and we had a blast. I asked the little if he'd want to come back and do it again next year and he said absolutely. I know that they also offer other "adventures" such as zip lining however the little isn't up to that just yet. The only downfall is we came when the previous days events got cancelled due to the rain so the wait time was EXTREMELY long - like 4 hours between the time of us arriving, getting in line to validate our ticket, and getting on the truck. They did try to keep us entertained by showing a movie and having a food truck, however I should have did like some other folks who left and came back instead of sitting out in the cold. However next year, we will know better, as we will be back!!! read more

First time here and last one we went a group of 12 and were not allowed to play together it's was another group of people and we had to play agains them. The staff is horrible only help us a little the girl who is giving the guns to the players also they force you to wait the others players so you can't go back to play Whenever you want Also the truck that gets you to the fields is like a 1975 truck is almost breaking on half Our group goes every Sunday to different paintball fields. But definitely won't come back to this one. If you want to play better go to maddoz in waxahachie or if you prefer to play speedball. We came here recently on Sunday with a group of about 10 friends! It was more than a blast and such a good price! The equipment provided was clean and in great condition, the different parks were great and there was a big variety to choose from to play on. They give you breaks in between and explain what to expect thoroughly before you start! They also will provide you with paintballs and have extras you can purchase as well! This walking activity was very interesting. We went during the summer-I cannot recommend that. We also had kids 3-12y- they were interested in the variety of puzzles, but soon tired of the heat and walking. Be sure to be there for the longhorn cattle drive at 11:30. read more

So fun, well organized and run. Thank you for a great day. We had the "low impact" version which still left a few bruises but a very fun experience. Open play seems very intense, so if that is not something you are used to, beware. This is ONLY for the Halloween ZOMBIE Paintball review. It's a seasonal weekend event where you ride a trailer/bus and shoot "zombies". Total lackluster!! It's 4-5 areas where the bus slows down and you shoot a dancing or stationary person/dummy. Drive 45mins for what you can do in your backyard. Website makes you believe it might be charging zombies to get your adrenaline moving, but nope. It's essentially for children. Don't know what else this place offers but the zombie thing is a waste. read more

DFWAP is 1 of the best paintball fields north of Dallas, if not THE best. I drove an hour to try this field out and I might come here more often -- bear in mind I have 2 fields within 20-30mins of me, but I skipped those to come here. Location: I love that a quick bite after hours at the field is only 5mins away. Their prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. It sucks that they're field paint only but that's how fields make their money so it's understandable. The field paint isn't the greatest but I've paid for worse. Safety: I appreciated that everyone with their own marker was chrono'd before stepping foot on the field so you know you won't have players shooting hot and leaving nasty bruises and cuts. 1 thing that would've been nice is for them to tell us the rules. I'm guessing they assumed we knew because we've played before, or maybe it was an oversight, but no one told us to watch a video or go to a ref for the rundown. Fortunately, we saw the big ass sign in the staging area that listed the rules and caught on rather quickly. The covered staging area is incredibly small for the amount of people who play. There were probably 10 tables to accommodate over 100 people. We ended up using the trunk of our car because 1) there wasn't any room to set up elsewhere and 2) after leaving our stuff unattended at a table for a few minutes to chrono, I found a guy with his hands inside our paint bag feeling around. I know paintball attracts kleptos, but damn. It wasn't even 5mins before this dude was about to steal our paint and some expensive gear. Though I'm not going to fault the field for that asshole, more oversight in the staging area would be nice. Off the field, there are real bathrooms with a shower inside. No porta potties here! I can't tell you how much of a luxury that is compared to fields with outhouses. The fields themselves are awesome. They're well-designed with lots of variety (spools, cars, multistory buildings, etc.), and in the 4 hours we were there, we never played the same field twice and we still didn't get to them all! Even though we had upwards of +40 people on 1 field (they often combined rentals with walk-ons), it never felt that way because cover is well-spaced out and the maps are huge. I loved that we played more game types than team death match, such as attack and defend and a king of the hill variety. Down time between games was well-timed. We didn't feel rushed to get air, hydrate, load up, take a breather, etc. The players are pretty friendly, too. There were a few try-hards who took the game WAY too seriously and will bitch you out if you get in their way, but most play an honest game, call themselves out when hit, and will be cordial between games. In terms of the ref, he did an excellent job at calling the game, making sure everyone was safe, and splitting up teams. He said he's been there for 5 years and his experience showed. He also did a great job at showing everyone the map boundaries, explaining the rules before reach game, and keeping things lighthearted with humor. Another great thing is that this place is massive and for the farther fields, they bus you out in a truck so you don't have to walk a mile and they have coolers at every field so you can grab stay hydrated. They've really thought of everything here. All things considered, this is a well-worth-the-drive field and an experience I highly recommend. read more

To elaborate on this flor and Ramiro persons review, her group of thugs rushed a 14 year old kid and took his gun way and smashed the father in the forehead and gang kicked the guy. They complained the entire time and every time someone shot them out it's obviously everyone else fault and not because you are not good. Guns were not "pointed " at them. We went to DFW Adventure Park to play paintball today. We had a group of 19 and had a great experience! The staff was friendly and professional. The grounds were well kept. They have a great selection of courses with various layouts and amounts of coverage. Mustang Village was absolutely a blast and reminded me of a COD map. The bruises and pain were worth the fun! Also, I'd give a bonus star if I could for their adorable bird in the front office. read more

Airsoft: gets 2 stars for the actual arenas. Gets negative stars for safety, customer service, and ruleset ( or lack of one) Went with a group yesterday. Paid. Before I arrived I went to the website it declared no airsoft over 400fps with .20BBs. I get there and all kinds of airsoft is present. Ok. asked inside about their airsoft rules. They told me to go ask at the airsoft Kiosk. Went to the kiosk. Got a few things and asked. Was given the gloss of "Under 350 fps is CQB safe, up to 400fps is 20ft MED, up to 450fps is 50Ft MED, Snipers at up to 550fps is 100Ft MED." None of my group (12) are asked to chrono. No guns are tagged with class identifiers, and there is no line or obvious chrono safe area. But were all experienced airsoft vets, and our AEGs are not hot rods, or ROF builds Played two games. Liked the arenas: Multiple small arenas nice change of pace. All the basic rules are enforced by a 14 year old ref. Face pro for kids and teens, barrel socks, Boundaries... But during the third game I started noticing the HPA players were diferent than my other experiences at local arenas. Third game was set in a city fight on 4 acres. Multiple 2nd story buildings and carved up connexes. Good MOUT set up. But then you heard it. ROF of 35-50 RPS. A Serious / Dangerous difference between players with powerful normal AEGs, and the hits on the tin walls from HPA gunners. My kid got shot at 20 Ft by a HPA JAG Arms shot gun on the hand. Bloody bruise. Anomaly? Shot placement? (Benefit of the doubt? Its a shotgun player right? Cmonnnn...) I went into a building with a knife to kill all 3 rifle players. (I'd seen them go in with only rifles. Knowing they are rule bound, like I am, not to engage at point blank.) Nope asshole tripple taps me at two feet. Tell him he has a 20 ft MED. "No I do NOT!" He replys... Complaint to ref- " He is sorry." Ill go talk to him. Bloody bruises thru a uniform shirt. Now I'm pissed. I ask " So HPA shotgun guy is blistering people too, and his power level is way up." Ref replys with "Nope. No way. It's just a shotgun. He is totaly legal. I know he is right at 350 with 20s!" Wait. What? They chrono HPA with .20s the same way you do a AEG or spring? 14year old ref "Yep" Me...... We get back to the arena "ready area" and I ask the vender in charge of airsoft if there are any rule sets for controling joule creep in HPA. No. None. Just stay away. You do not want your kid to be abused by these unconcious half assed safety rules. To the vender and site. Update the frickin website to reflect curent rule set. Put up a rule set to see and be seen. Set up Mandatory Chrono Area. And learn about the physics of HPA. I later learned that HPA shotgun guy claimes to be slinging .25s after chronoing at 350fps with .20s. Just by shifting from .20a to .25s after chrono he departed the safe CQB joule power factor for bare skin. 1.14 Joules is point blank. [A hit that should raise a pink welt on bare skin.] .25s dwelling on that same power impuse, linger in the barrels over volume and leave the barrel(s) at the exact same speed. But that heavier projectile now has soaked in .5 more joules. Impacting bare skin at 1.7 joules is known to cause abrasions and is not CQB safe. So do you want to know the joule math on a HPA M4 that puts in a .32 BB, after chronoing with a .20? He is rifle class. Right? 20ft MED? According to your rule set. It is obscene. An energy level that would normaly need 100ft MED to be safe. If its a HPA sadist paradise you want .... you are delightful job. Clean it up. Advertise the cleanup, and I might return just for that mout site. PS: The stairs leading up are dry rotting. Miiiiight want to attend to that too. read more

If you want a disgruntled employee who is playing paint ball off the clock, to interrupt your private match and ruin your fun day and point a REAL gun at you when you're walking to your car this is definitely the place. The only reason it's a 1 it's because i cannot put a zero. Service was sub par, our group had to trade in 2 faulty guns and the barrel of my rental fell off mid game,trailer they have you riding on has I bent front axle but you can't hear it over the squealing brakes. read more

This place is trash, we had a party go out there the other night. I honestly don't know how this dumpster fire is still in business. Half of our parties guns didn't work I tried to tell a couple of the kids working there,but they didn't do anything. This place is poorly run by a few kids that don't know what they are doing. They ran us through so fast even the kid employees made comments about " being ran fast tonight" if you won't a good time and have fun don't come here this place is awful. Oh btw someone in our party is looking into legal action due to all the dust because yet again this joke facility doesn't know anything it was terrible. Pos soy class action in the works. read more

There's definitely adventure here at this place. I've only done the zip line but there's so much more that they offer. I'm excited to try the paint ball areas that they have set up around the property. The tour guides were very informative and friendly. They are all about the safety of their customers and walk you through the experience every step of the way to make sure you are not just having a blast but staying safe while doing so. read more

We love this place! We Pack an ice chest of cold drinks and snacks and enjoy a fun day of paintball. One time it was so crowded so we even requested a "rookie" group for rentals/newbies and a separate group for pros (high-powered guns) and they went and got more refs to accommodate my request. I took my girl friends brother and nephews to DFWAP on Saturday April 8th. We originally were planning on doing the zip line course, but we got there early. So we decided to try some paintball for the first time. I'm 47 and by far the old man out there. But once the mask comes on, you are a kid again. I must say the kids/players were all very cool. Helpful with questions I may have had. The referees were also very helpful to everyone. Top notch ref's. I can't give them enough props. The zip line experience was great too. We had a great experience with Ozzie and London. They were super with the 4 new zip liners and myself. London and Ozzie were awesome! Funny but also very thorough with the safety of each zip liner. I also spoke with Miguel the manager and he was very helpful with the entire experience. We look forward to coming out again soon. read more

The overall field size is very big, with many playing fields for different play styles. There is am inflated speedball field near the pavilion but it was not inflated on the Saturday I visited. The field policies are all enforced, but if you're not a new player, they won't be clearly communicated until you're in violation. As of Nov 26, there are 2 player groups each day: "mechanical/pump only," and "advanced" The referees were consistent and friendly, but because the field sizes are so large, it's hard for them to staff the field well enough to accurately call the game. Side note: I have an electric marker and was not allowed to play with my group of friends (who rented mechanical markers) despite changing my settings to limit the balls per second. I was very disappointed, and had to use a backup marker I carry. read more

We chose DFWAP for some paintballing fun for my 9yr old's birthday. What you get is a dedicated Ref for your group and if you're able a designated table or two (depending on number of ppl) There are two packages w/ the main difference being a Private room. This is where my main complaint lies. The private room is only available for 1 hour either before or after your 2 hours of play. I do not understand this at all. Instead of 8 mothers getting to chill in the a/c and away from the crowd of men/boys, they get to enjoy that environment, sitting there sweating in the 90+ degree heat w/ all sorts of language and talk around them. Sounds appealing right? It wasn't. We had originally gotten this package and ended up dropping it to a lesser package and due to some cancellations from our party, it worked out okay in the end. I still cannot understand why you would rent a private room and not get to use it the entire time you are there? Aside from that, DFWAP is a great place. The ref took care of the kids and they all had a great time. As many have stated, it is a large park, 170 +\- acres of activities to do. I would come back to play paintball or zip line, etc. but make sure you know what you're getting into before you come. Paintball is field paint only @$60/case. Can say anything about the quality b/c we were playing the low impact paintball which uses different sized paint than "normal". At any rate, the place is good and I recommend it. If they fixed the private room issue, I'd give em 5 stars. read more

I am a dad who plays paintball at various parks with his pre-teen and teenage sons. DFW appears to be making an effort to improve the player experience. The refs try to make the games as balanced as possible between rental walk-ons and more experienced walk-ons with their own equipment. Balanced games translate into longer games for all levels of experience and more fun for my kids. We recently had a negative experience at another park that allowed dramatically unbalanced games. Given this my sons will often pick DFW over another park. Many of the experienced players and off duty refs are friends, yet it doesn't seem cliquish. They will engage with newer players, explain the map, provide tips and pointers. Positive: The refs are engaged. Water bottles in the coolers by each map. Refs carry extra micro fiber cloths to help clean googles. Rides out to the maps in the trailers can be very social. Many of the maps are getting some needed maintenance. Negatives: After a recent rain a few maps can get a muddy. If you have cleats (soccer, football or lacrosse) bring them if it recently rained. Only two air stations. Limited checking of 285 FPS velocity rule. Paint: Pricing seems similar to other fields and if you get a 'bad' bag they will work with you. Maps: We have played seven different ones at DFW. A few of them get played more than the others (Mustang, Trench and Redneck). read more

They have horrible customer service. I would avoid at all costs. They misrepresented substantial things and would not rectify.

We came for a nice paintball session with some of our friends and it didn't go as planned. They had us waiting there for at least two hours. Once they were able to start they proceeded to tell us they they didn't have enough guns for all of us to play together so we had to personally buy more guns in order for us to play. The service could be better and I don't think taking off a small $10 fee would makeup for the time and money that was spent. This is by far my favorite park in the DFW area. I have played paintball at other parks and regret not spending my money here. I have also done the obstacle course at this location. It was fun but I recommend paintball. The fields are well maintained clean. The layouts also change from time to time which helps keep skills sharp. The park is huge and great to come out for paint balling or zip lining. They have a pavilion area if you want to bring your own snacks and such. The folks who work here are super duper friendly. It's not too bad of a drive from Dallas or Ft. Worth to get out here! They also do obstacle course type races out here as well as team building events which I have come out here with coworkers before. Played paintball at DFW AP over the weekend based on a friend's endorsement of it. Fields were in good shape with a variety of setups, materials, and sizes. Nicest pro shop/pavilion I've seen; comparable to Official Paintball in Forney. Refs did a great job and it seemed like the vast majority of the other players were good sports on the field. They did a good job of splitting up the walk-on players from the rental/newer players I liked that they had trucks to shuttle people to the father field and back. Entry fee was a little steep. It was $20 plus $15 paint fee or $18 for 500 rounds. So it ended up being $40 for the paint and entry. Of note air stations only fill to 3000psi, I didn't see a 4500psi setup. There is also a concession stand to buy drinks, snacks, hot dogs, etc. Overall an enjoyable experience and I would go back. read more

I regular this place quite often and though I throughly enjoy my time there, some of their business practices could use some real refinement. First would be the requirement to purchase at least 500 paintballs from them each time you play. Even if you purchased paint from them a previous time and have left over that you want to use. Secondly is the "advanced" player group separation with the "beginner" group. If you own your own equipment you will be placed in advanced. It doesn't matter if this is your first time playing or not. You're in advanced. I have seen multiple players borrow friends gear to try out paintball for the first time and get thrown to the wolves in the advanced group. If you have been playing for awhile and know what your doing, surrender rules are on a case by case basis. Make sure to clarify before the start of each match. Another thing for advanced players. Their might be a chance that you won't have enough players in the earlier morning to play at all due to the segregation of beginners and advanced. So sit tight in the pits and talk about those guns you've been looking to buy. read more

We went paintballing for my sons 12th birthday, we paid for rental equipment and we were impressed with the guns not the cheap ones we were expecting for $20, 2 hours of play, unlimited air for the tank, 200 paintballs, and a mask. They have other packages but this one suited the needs of most of the beginners. The ref was nice and explained things well, in fact all of the staff was curtious. They even made sure we could slip in one last game before it close. Reasonably priced for additional paint balls. One down side, toward the end of our time, it didn't matter if the walk on were begginer or not, this was a bit if a problem for most of our group that hadn't played before as they got out quickly. Unfortunately, the worst park I've ever played at! Only referring to back of park scenario field. Your far from your car in case you need something, far from using the bathroom, or getting food, and there were very few staff to mange a huge game like this one! Cow dung everywhere, so you step on it, not mention they are actually on the field with you while your playing, But it's a tax break, so it's ok! Our neighbors camping had a cow dig into his stuff and eat his lunch out of the cooler. It was about 20 of us who traveled from a far, and on day one half through the day, we wanted a refund. We got caught up in mesquite thorns, that are like ropes and once your stuck it's hard to get out without hurting yourself; manny of us came out scratched up and had our gear ruined! Some trees had thorns too. Honestly, we would have preferred to play some paintball in the front of the park, with the normal fields and people. read more

Some people from my class went here as an end of year party for paintball. It was an awesome experience! Definitely something to do as a team bonding activity. There were objectives and games such as capture the flag and more... It's fun to do something scary but fun lol The workers were really nice and answered all of our questions really well.
