What…read moreI experienced was not just poor instruction, but a pattern that felt predatory, unsafe, and deeply unprofessional. I initially booked 10 hours behind the wheel (five 2-hour lessons) and had three solid instructors, Charles, Victor, and Gator, all of whom indicated I was ready for my road test. However, just before my scheduled test, a different instructor suddenly claimed I was "not ready," directly contradicting the previous day's feedback. She suggested I reschedule the test (knowing it would cost $100) and pushed me to book five additional lessons for another $1,000. This completely undermined my confidence right before the exam. She then strongly recommended a 1-hour prep session with "Coach K," who was also supposed to be my examiner. This turned out to be the worst decision I made. During that session, his behavior was unacceptable: 1. He introduced arbitrary and unnecessary rules, such as restricting hand placement on the steering wheel to four exact points, claiming I would fail otherwise. He rushed through this without allowing time to process and immediately escalated to yelling. 2. He repeatedly instructed me to press the gas during turns, which directly contradicted prior instruction and is unsafe. 3. He physically pushed my knee down to force me to accelerate, which caused the vehicle to lose control. This is completely inappropriate and should never happen. 4. He continued yelling and pressuring me throughout, saying I would fail if I did not follow his commands. This pressure contributed to me hitting the curb, which he then used as justification to fail me. Immediately after failing me, his tone changed. He encouraged me to book another 2-hour session and a retest with him the following week, clearly pushing additional paid sessions. Unfortunately, it got worse: In the follow-up 2-hour lesson, he escalated the same behavior - constant yelling, continued physical interference (pushing my knee), and forcing unsafe driving techniques such as accelerating into turns. At one point, he was yelling "gas" while simultaneously applying the brake himself. He again pressured me to reschedule my test (another $100 fee) and book more lessons. At this point, I spoke with others who confirmed this was not normal. I reported the experience to the academy and requested a different examiner. Shortly after, my test was reassigned, but it was clear the examiners communicate closely. The second examiner, Patrice, appeared hostile from the start. During the test: 1. She claimed I did not perform proper shoulder checks (SMOG), which I did - I clearly looked over my shoulders every single time, this comes naturally to me. 2. She criticized my parallel parking, stating the tire should be on the red line rather than 6 inches inside, contradicting all prior instruction. 3. She claimed I failed to check over my shoulder during a lane change, which was inaccurate - I did check over my shoulder. 4. Near a red light, she instructed me to change lanes at the last moment, creating a confusing and unsafe situation. 5. Ultimately, she failed me for "driving in the wrong lane," which is simply not accurate. By this point, it felt predetermined. In total, I spent nearly $1,500, was put in unsafe situations, and had my confidence significantly impacted. This experience raises serious concerns about: 1. Unsafe instruction practices 2. Physical interference during driving 3. Pressure to purchase additional lessons 4. Potential bias in testing I strongly recommend that oversight authorities such as the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation look into this location and require in-car cameras during instruction and testing to ensure accountability. This is not just about money, it's about safety and fairness. No student should be put in this position.

They DO NOT tell you upon signing up there is no 6 hour and 24 hour concurrent and NO PARENT DRIVER PORTION. This has made it extremely difficult. My child has already completed the 32 hours of classroom time online. I get ready to teach the driving portion and Coastline doesn't offer it. Do you know how many companies offer ONLY the parent taught driver portion??? NONE. I am having to now call another company and beg to let me have just the driving portion since my child already has the knowledge portion completed. I COULD HAVE PAID FOR THE ENTIRE COURSE WITH ANOTHER COMPANY FOR THE SAME PRICE I PAID FOR JUST THE KNOWLEDGE BASE HERE. NOW I HAVE TO PAY ADDITIONAL FEES!!!!!! DO NOT CHOOSE COASTLINE DRIVER ACADEMY FOR YOUR PARENT TAUGHT DRIVER EDUCATION. My child liked the online course, but its not worth it when its half of the requirements for Texas. She will be pissed if she has to repeat it!!

Now I'm a CDL class A license holder I sincerely thank Mr. Jeff for his method of teaching and his calm demeanor. also Mr. Chuck, Jeff's assistant contributed on helping me how to do my pre-trip in a timely manner, took me to do my road test at the Texas DMV and stayed there if I had any questions. I have to thank also Ms. Maria the front office receptionist for her efficiency in scheduling our appointments without her help it would have taken us months to get this appointment to complete our testing. Furthermore, the physical environment has declined; classrooms have become overcrowded with furniture, making it difficult for children to work independently as the Montessori method intends. Until there is stability in staffing and a return to true Montessori standards, I find it difficult to recommend this school to new families.

They then called my mom her emergency contact she didn't answer and they left her a message saying that my daughter "Smashed" her hand and if she could get in contact with me and let me know. The co-director then called me again 3 mins later this time I answered while at work and she simply told me my daughter smashed her hand... In my mind I'm thinking she closed a door on her hand but nothing too bad. I told the co director ok let me see if I can leave work early and she said ok and we hung up. By then my mom heard her voicemail & called me and I told her they told me she smashed her hand they didn't give me any details as I didn't asked either because I'm at work & im still believing she just smashed her hand in the door. My mom called the daycare back & she asked what happened they explained to her that another child knocked over a wooden book shelf & it smashed My daughters hand. & my mom asked well is it bleeding how bad is it. They said yes it's bleeding my mom told them to call 911 or have her transported to an emergency facility the Director told her well her mom said she was on her way #1 I didn't say that I told her let me see if I can leave work early my mom told her NO her mom is still at work and she needs to be transported to an emergency facility but she basically denied that action stating that she didn't feel that 911 needed to be called & also stated her mom doesn't seem to think that it is an emergency since she is still at work! "First of all the co director didn't even tell me what exactly happened didn't explain to me that my daughter was bleeding or anything" secondly I had to take proper actions before I could just leave work! I'm trying rush out of work after I asked my manager if I could leave early because of the situation smashed hands may not be A lot but any little thing makes me nervous and anxiety starts to kick in so I was going to leave work anyways I DO NOT like to hear babies getting hurt in any type of way especially my own... I rushed out of work leaving my purse in my locked desk so I had NO INSURANCE CARD, NO DRIVERS LICENSE no nothing and didn't realize it until I got her to the E.R. So I did take it serious but still didn't know the severity of it......My mom is the next to call the shots if I wasn't available you should have called 911 but refused because you Didn't think she needed medical attention? You don't have a license to practice nursing or a medical degree to call that type of situation especially after you were asked to do so from someone who is able to make those decisions on her behalf. I get too the daycare & the director tells me your mom is really upset but I didn't think 911 needed to be called but I want you too know it is bad and she needs to go to the emergency room so I'm like what happened & she tells me that another child mind you my daughters age group is 18-24 months knocked over a wooden shelf onto her hand and I'm like how is that possible "it's no carpet it's just tile so the shelf was leveled not even a 2 year old could knock over this heavy shelf "the oldest age in her classroom" I just don't see it" so she gives me a copy of the incident report I sign it and I'm just trying to get to my daughter at this point I'm pissed my daughter is isolated in a room with a teacher who is holding her hand up wrapped in a hard paper towel no cloth or anything full of blood & she's just crying loudly you could hear the pain in her cry she cried out mommy as she reached for me with her other hand I rushed to her & I seen her hand & was furious at that point I rushed her out the door leaving her coat & shoes behind in which the teacher brung out to my car "the teacher just kept saying I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry" very apologetic unlike the directors. I had to rush my daughter to an emergency room in 4:00 pm traffic in Arlington tx by myself trying to pay attention to her and the road as she is bleeding badly. 45 minutes had already passed by the time I had to rush out of work and rush her to the emergency room when all the daycare had to do was transport her right? All that pain with no Pain medication or anything she had to suffer and then not to mention the short wait at the emergency room until they gave her some pain medicine. When the Doctor seen her he automatically knew she had broken fingers but the Director of the daycare didn't think it was serious enough to call 911 She had two crushed bones in her finger tips and she had to be sedated to get stitches in both of her fingers 6 in her pinky finger alone and lost her nail at the age of 1.... **Update she has to have surgery on Monday to fix the bones in her hand

The teacher failed me as a student by just giving us packets to read instead of actually teaching us, he also doesn't spend enough time on each student behind the wheel when it comes to driving. For example, students are required to have 7 hours of driving with an instructor and 7 hours of observation, this did not occur. Instead two other students and I had to split the time meaning we all drove about 15-20 minutes each session, which is not enough time for new drivers to get an understanding of how to operate a vehicle. I did not leave this class a confident driver to say the least. It took many more hours of practice with my parents to get me where I needed to be. As of now I'm prepared to take the DPS test however, the instructor failed to give me the documentation needed. I've tried countless times to contact him, but I'm stuck, there's nothing more I can do. Please save yourself the money, hassle, and stress it's not worth it. I recommend sending your child to pioneer driving school. I had one conversation with Mr. Lott and he taught me much more than I learned my entire experience with superior driving school.
