Rick is a wealth of knowledge (on diving, dive skills, dive gear, you name it!) And provided all of us with excellent instruction as well as feedback. Dawn offers useful, alternate explanations--in addition to one-on-one reinforcement for students who need more time or assistance in fully understanding and mastering a skill. They don't gloss over anything, and they spend as much time as the group needs in order for each student to feel comfortable, which I really appreciate. Having the two of them also allows individual students to have that valuable one-on-one time with Dawn while Rick continues his instruction, so students that need more time on a skill don't feel like they're holding up the group or feel embarrassed like they are the center of attention when the rest of the group is ready to move on. We called around and Manny here at Lone Star was very friendly over the phone. Since this is the closest dive shop to our house we came in to get pricing and order. We ended up just buying new goggles with pop in lenses. It was about 50 dollars cheaper and if the RX changes, we just buy new lenses, not a whole new pair of goggles. Manny was so friendly, very helpful, knowledgeable and just a nice guy. We talked about our upcoming trip, previous trips and he shared some cool diving stories. We will definitely be using them in the future!
