Susan at the front desk was very friendly and professional. Shante took my vitals and checked my blood sugar and updated my medication list. I've been in a research program with an insulin pump device and have been trained by Sadia and kept on regularly scheduled check-ins and phone calls. She's so friendly and patient. Dr. Haque and Aimee listen to me and offers recommendations to help me succeed as a person loving with diabetes. As I was leaving, Rachel and Edith helped me to schedule my next appointment and print out my lab orders for my next visit. I love this office and this team of professionals! The entire appointment was focused on my weight and age basically. After confirming my thyroid was good, no other mention of any of my current medicines, no questions about family history, nothing. If I had seen this Dr and weighed 120 lbs, I'm not sure what he would've had to discuss. What warrants ordering a hormone panel? I thought a hormone specialist would be exactly who does this? Depending on the situation she will either propose a conventional solution (prescription medication, etc.), alternative solutions (supplements), or a combination of both. She is also not shy of recommending life style changes if that is the underlying cause for your illness. If you are looking for a doctor who tells "Take this medications for the rest of your life, but don't change a thing" then she is NOT your doctor. The male nurse at the check-in desk made him feel as if he didn't belong there because he didn't "look sick." When my family member got to the back, he was given a breathing treatment and was left in the room over 20 minutes after it completed. He also told the healthcare provider that he hadn't eating in over 10 hours and they still proceeded to give him medication that needed to be taken with food. When he got back home, he was vomiting all over the place. When he got his diagnosis, the male nurse (same person who checked him in) was surprised! He shouldn't have judged a book by it's cover. Just because a person doesn't look well does not mean they don't feel well in their body! Again, he was made to feel as if he just wandered in there off the street. We have wonderful insurance (even if we did not, it shouldn't make a difference b/c healthcare providers should treat each person the same). This family member is a college student in his senior year and needed the help and what does he get? Mistreatment and prejudice! I told him to not visit this place again; at least not on the 3rd shift. The people there obviously didn't want to do their jobs! High reviews? How? I'm very concerned for my family member to get care being so far from home while in college. THIS is why I worry because of people like this! Shame on you, "Total" Care.

I chose the basic exam which resulted in verifying I have 20/20 but suffer dry eyes. She scared me into extra exams and ensured me the insurance would cover after I told her I did not want to pay out of pocket for exams I did not feel were necessary. Once i checked out, my bill was extremely high due to the extra exams she forced on me because my insurance declined to cover. She is money hungry is not looking out for the best interest of the patients or her staff. Additionally, the wait times are really bad. I was in the office for this eye appointment for over two hours.
