Went on adult night and it was so fun! The snacks are really good and cheap (no they don't serve alcohol) and it's fun and a huge place! I love how the lights are off! They give you the decision if you wanna do rollerblades or skates! Love this spot!

Love it here! The rink is big and has a smaller mini rink in the back to the right of the food area (behind the dj booth). The mini rink kind of looks like a dance floor but it's big enough to practice your moves. The pizza is honestly one of the best I've had in Florida (and I'm from NYC). And sometimes they do $1 pizza slices. The staff in pink shirts are nice, however, if you're there late after an adult session, the adults, not so much. They hold skate classes at 9 AM on Saturdays and the coaches are awesome. Adult nights are Wed (shuffle skating), Thurs (rhythm skating), Sat (Roll Bounce), and Sun (Soul Roll). And all levels are always welcomed.

I have been taking class here and it has been a great experience. Although the Saturday class is full of young kids if you are not afraid you will lean the fundamentals that helped me greatly. The staff was amazing. The instructors are friendly and helpful it's a great place for kids and adults.

If you're an adult go skate on Wednesday night but DEFINITELY Thursday night for Rhythm Night. When kids are skating on the floor it can get a little chaotic. Some tips: if you're slow, make your way towards the center, I know it doesn't seem right but it's the system. Wear tall socks, your ankles will thank you. BEND YOUR KNEES, it should feel like you're doing a squat without leaning forward. If you feel like you'll fall, get low and bendy or reach for your knees. Have fun! Be safe!

My church youth group decided to have a girls night out here. When I parked, I began to second guess myself and my sanity for being willing to go to a roller rink for the first time in over 20 years. There was a crowd of teens ready with skates in hand to have fun with their friends. Apparently Friday night can have a crowd of up to 500. I was a bit apprehensive about it but they had two police officers on hand to ensure that the rink is safe and secure. We went to the window to turn in our shoes for skates. This was a frustrating process because there was no line. It was a blob of bodies crowding the window and there was no designation of if you were picking up skates or dropping off. I think that it would be helpful in streamlining the whole process. I literally spent 20 minutes waiting for skates then another 20 minutes trying to drop off my skates and get my shoes back. Part of the reason for the delay also was due to people getting their skates and putt putting them on in front of the window versus going off to one of the nearby benches. The music was good, the skates were ok. It's better to bring your own. There are around 10-15 arcade games, bouncy house and a cafe. There was a dark room near the cafe that was a "dance room". This room is dark and I felt inappropriate for safety. The pizza looked great and tasted good. Among favorite food choices are also mini churros and French fries. I'm on the fence about whether or not I will bring my girls here or suggest a group outing here. If I do it wouldn't be on a Friday night.

Astro skate was great for beginners, but it's best to visit on a day when it's not too busy. Learning to skate with too many people around can be challenging. I went with friends who were also beginners, and the staff was friendly. They allowed us to use a small room to practice before moving to the bigger one, which was very helpful. Overall, I had a great experience at the skate place and would recommend it to anyone looking to learn how to skate.

We took our daughter here recently to get some wiggles out and just enjoy learning a new skill. She's only been skating a few times around our neighborhood and we thought that this would be an immersive way to get her into the hobby. Definitely check out their calendar of events and when they have good offers and deals. You're likely to score a cheaper price than regular pricing if you pay attention. They also have themed nights and exclusive school nights. You can bring your own skates but you'll need to make sure that they pass the skate check. They do have some limitations on skates you bring in to ensure that their floors don't get torn up. As a side note you'll also want to make sure you bring in identification for all adults, and leave any food or drinks that come from outside in your car. Learned both of these the hard way. They have a smaller child skating area that helps them learn before they get out onto the bigger floor. Our daughter enjoyed this so that she had a little bit of time to learn before being thrown into a large space. We did have her try out the large space after about an hour of practice. They also have a limited number of arcade games, a small cafe, and a birthday party room. Overall: A Well it is a bit dated and could use some upgrades, it brings with it all the nostalgia of my childhood so it was still a win. I would definitely come back for a visit but try again on a non weekend day when the pricing is a little bit lower.

Now that I have some kids, there is always the constant need to find ways for them to burn off energy that doesn't cost a small fortune - welcome to the Skate Factory. Located in Vero Beach, it is a bit of a ride for us, but worth the trip. This is an old-school skating rink complete with 80's music and disco ball! The floor is in excellent shape, and there are skates for rent for those in need. They have a lot of different themed days / /nights for all age groups - I have been there mostly weekend days because of the kids, but they have things such a free pizza night, adult night, Christian music night etc. - check their website for the rundown. Plenty of seating for those in your group who are there to watch, or don't feel like skating, and there is a small but functional food bar area that turns out some adequate snacks: Pizza, nachos, fries - the usual culprits. Food was very reasonably priced as well. For the beginners, there are "skate-mates" that you can rent which act sort of like a walker - gives the littles something to hold on to while they learn how to balance and move. We had no such thing when I was a kid and we ate a lot of pavement until we figured it out ha. Bring your own gear, or rent theirs- the rentals were all in good shape and got the job done. They have lockers available so you can store your more valuable items while you skate. Beyond the skating and food, there are some arcade games available and the restrooms were clean. Everyone working here is very friendly and helpful as well - so from start to finish just a great time out. Large parking lot in front.

The walls are hues of yellows and blues that come from a JC Penny catalog circa 1990. The skate floor is a faded blue, and the sound of clanking roller skates fills the area only to be drowned out by the blasting music of contemporary pop hits. The sounds clash between yesterday and today. There are a few phone screens that glow underneath hand-drawn cartoon characters. But that's the charm. Galaxy Skateway doesn't pretend to be something new. It embraces what it is, a time capsule of what life was like. Going to the snack bar, you're greeted with a menu board with plastic blue letters, and you get a discount when you pay with cash. When my daughters walked into the skate rink, one thing that stood out was how many people were just... skating. People weren't on the sidelines looking at screens. All that was there was a DJ and simple skating games like Four Corners and Stoplight. Cliché songs from the 90s like "The Macarena" played as people rolleed past, all under the flashing neon lights. To me, it was a piece of nostalgia for a time long since gone. It doesn't have updated features and the building looks straight out of the 90s, but that's the point. You don't go to Galaxy Skateway to experience the 21st century. You go there to experience what life was like before Steve Jobs walked out on stage with his iPhone.
