Early on they were very friendly and they even invited me to the cart door to show how they cooked the naan bread once. However, their mobile ordering system has been routinely frustrating and after my experience yesterday and today I'm not interested in dealing with them any longer. They've had us bounce from UberEats to Joyous then to Door Dash apps for ordering. I placed a lunch order yesterday through door dash and all looked great (never mind that they have two listings on Door Dash and one of them is "Prince of Spice" and the other is "Pinch of Spice" which is really sketchy), the order completed, I was charged $33 (ikr), and it showed I could pick up my food in about 20 minutes. When I arrived the cart was closed and the worker who was in there was doing organizational stuff and no cooking was going on. I knocked and asked and he didn't speak english. He called someone else to have him talk to me over the phone, but that guy didn't speak any English either. After about 10 minutes of me asking them to repeat themselves and speak slower, I finally figured out that they were telling me that they were closed all day, it was a Thursday. Why don't they update their schedule on their ordering apps? So I then went to Door Dash app and tried to cancel the order. The app said they would review and let me know by email in an hour. I never received an email from DD. So this morning I try to go and refund the order through the DD app and it denied it. So then around 11am I start thinking, "well maybe my original order is still in the cart restaurant's system and I can call them and get it today instead." So I called the cart and got one of them. I explained the situation but couldn't understand them again. I repeated my name a couple of times thinking that would help him find the order from yesterday in his system. Then finally thought he was asking what was in the order so I mentioned the 2 dishes and he said "oh ok! I make for you.", which I foolishly thought meant he found the order and would now complete it. I asked when it would be ready and he said "20 minutes". So I show up again today and he pulls the bag out and points to the pay iPad that says $32. I tried to explain that I had already paid yesterday for it and I showed him the order on Door Dash. He looked at my phone then called someone else. Probably the same guy as the day before. They spoke in Indian for a bit then he handed me the phone and I tried to explain to the other guy on the phone again. The guy on the other end told me that they had cancelled the order and that I needed to get a refund from Door Dash. I left with no food again and still out $33. So I then called DD support. Grok came through clutch with the number because the DD app doesn't give it away that I could find. And after getting through the AI gatekeeper to a live person she told me that they are unable to refund because the restaurant said that they completed the order and gave me the food. And that the order was not cancelled by the restaurant. The DD rep asked me if I had taken a photo of the closed business or if I had a screenshot of a text conversation with them about it being closed and I don't since I just spoke to them and didn't even think to take a photo of the closed cart. Remember to do this for future issues. She said that because if DD issues the refund it will be taken from the restaurant's earnings so they need proof to be able to contest the restaurant's claims. She then said that she would call the restaurant and discuss it with them. She put me on hold for about 10 minutes then came back. She said she tried several times but they did not answer. I asked her what number she called and it was the same phone number that I had called an hour earlier and immediately got someone at the restaurant/cart. I can't prove this but I assume they know the Door Dash phone number and so they just ignore it so they can keep the money for the order they lied about cancelling. So I'm out $33 and two lunches, but Pinch/Prince of Spice is now out a loyal customer for a measly $33. Note: I've lived in multiple foreign countries and I've always made an effort to learn at least the basics of the language of the country I'm in and how to pronounce it correctly enough so they can understand me. And when I haven't been able to learn fast enough I've used translator apps. Pinch/Prince of Spice has made ZERO effort to provide the basics of customer service beyond get money, give food. Note 2: this review isn't about Door Dash, but I will say their support process is way more complicated and frustrating than other apps I have used. The Customer Support Rep, Rucha was excellent and she did her best when I finally got connected with her.

Neither dish was edible for my child, and I could barely get through it myself. What's especially frustrating is that my first order at mild spice came out perfectly mild. Dishes like butter chicken and Mughlai korma-style preparations are traditionally on the gentler end of the heat spectrum. It would be great if the restaurant could maintain consistency in honoring spice level selections, as it makes a difference for the person eating it. 2) No rice with the main course: In every Indian restaurant I've visited globally, a main entree comes with a side of rice as standard. I didn't select "extra rice" on DoorDash assuming this was a given, and added only a garlic naan. What arrived was two entrees and a very small portion of naan (two thin slices, really enough for one person), and no rice at all.
