    Butter Chicken with Garlic Naan
    Emily W.

AMAZING Butter Chicken! One of the best I've ever had. It was extremely flavorful, seasoned beautifully and the chicken was the perfect cut. The garlic naan was incredibly fresh and made perfectly for dipping. And I got it all as a doordash order! Hot and wrapped in Saran Wrap so nothing spilled. I am very pleased with my experience and will order here more often. P.S. the Mango Lassi is to die for. Perfect blend, not too sweet and even has some spice that sets it apart.

As a vegetarian Hindu, I'm pretty experienced when it comes to Indian food. The food I've tried from Bombay Biryani House has been quite good. The food here leans toward South Indian cuisine with several Indo-chinese offerings too. On a hot (95°) late summer day not wanting to leave my cool home to get dinner, I opted for delivery from a yet untried Indian restaurant. The food arrived well wrapped and packaged safely. My roommate and I both enjoyed the food and are already looking forward to trying other items on the menu. For the maiden voyage I ordered navratan korma, aloo gobi and Szechuan fried rice. The two sabji came with fluffy basmati rice. I thought the food had great flavor and just the right spice level. My roommate is a spice whimp so he had to add a lot of yogurt to the Szechuan fried rice so his eyes would stop watering. But anything with Szechuan in it's name here is bound to have a little kick. Bombay Biryani House is conveniently located near the Hillsboro Central/ SE 3rd TC MAX stop in Hillsboro. Highly recommend!

I don't know why they named it Bombay Briyani House as it is more of south Indian restaurants - although the Briyani is more of Hyderabad style. There is nothing Bombay about this place. Having said that food is really good. Expect spicy food if you ask for spicy food. To be honest I don't think they ask you the spice level. They have a standard level and I am glad they do. I don't want to go to a restaurant which asks for a spicy level but at the end of the day serves you what they want. Tried many cuisines here but I will mention few items which were not up to the mark: - Salt Lassi was too salty - Mango Lassi was ultra sweet - felt like Srikhand - Chole Bature - Absolutely amazing Bature. However the chole had too much of cinnamon flavor. Their food will be even great if they tone down things a bit - the place really wants to be at extremes. But still delicious. Reasonably fast service.

So happy found this gem in hillsboro downtown. The place is spacious, clean and bright. At the Train Station . Food was flavorful and hot. There are plenty of vegetarian options. Good job! I think this is my favorite one for Indian food. Looking forward to trying biryanis next!

This might be some of the best Indian food I have ever had! Came in here a couple months ago with a larger group, around 6-7 people, and we ended up getting a bunch of items and sharing everything around the table. This was a wonderful idea, we got to try so many items on the menu and every single one was outstanding! Some of my favorite items were the Butter Chicken, Chicken 65 Biriyani, and the Plain Egg Dosa. Our server provided amazing service, we had a lot of questions and he answered every single one with a ton of information about the food. He was often making sure we were doing well; checking if we needed more water, how the food was, etc. One thing I love about the ambiance of the restaurant itself is that there are TVs playing music videos of Indian music, which provided fun entertainment while we ate! The music was a lot of fun to listen (and try to dance) to, and our server even noticed us trying to dance along to one of the music videos at one point and flawlessly showed us the dance moves himself! AMAZING experience, I cannot wait to go here again!

Wow, this place was truly amazing. We ordered a bunch of food since we love Indian food leftovers. I have the correct names on the photos provided and we truly enjoyed our meal so much that my wife and I were stuffed when we left. It's a must eat when in Hillsboro for sure. The staff was very friendly and provided good information when we asked questions about the food. You will not be let down.

At first the mango lassi looked normal, but when we went to try it, it was meaty flavored? and not like mango at all. We told him and he offered to remake it. It tasted better after that, but still the inti taste stayed with us. And then we got our main food, the tikka masala. It had a layer of unmixed cream on the top, which didn't look particularly appetizing because it was greyish. I was still expecting the food to be the same. Come to find out that it's too salty and has almost no spice flavor that it usually has. Still we kept eating. Soon, my boyfriend ate a piece of chicken that was not cooked fully. Unfortunate. Though in the picture it ma looked fully cooked, you could tell by the rubbery texture it was not. Garlic naan was good, kind of plain no complaints. We spent $27 dollars. Please consider this and spend your money on another Indian cuisine place.

Supposedly it is their official website. If you place an order through there, it won't go to the business so they'll never receive an order. Placed an order through that website on a credit card (thankfully) and once there, they said they never got the order and can't access the funds - stating "get your bank to do a refund - it doesn't go to anyone anymore. you have to do a chargeback, order your food and pay here". If you're a business and you know about this issue, which they do, you should work to remove it. Get the money from the previous owners - whatever - but it's on you and not the consumer.

The location and atmosphere is nothing special, but that isn't why you come here. Both times I've gone it's been busy, but we were able to get seated right away. The paneer makhani curry is delectable. It's rich, sweet, spicy, creamy, and has a great depth of flavor and spices. The shrimp biryani was the standout dish for me that I still keep thinking about. The rice was aromatic and cooked perfectly, while the shrimp was robust, bright, and very spicy. I would recommend ordering a spice level down from what you would normally get.The mini samosas were packed with flavor and I loved all onions in them. The garlic naan was also solid. All around incredible food!

I was genuinely excited to re-order from this place after a wonderful first experience with their…read moreMughlai dishes. Unfortunately, my second order via DoorDash missed the mark in two significant ways: 1) Spice level not honored: I ordered butter chicken and Mughlai paneer and selected "mild", specifically because my 5-year-old was going to eat with me. What arrived was unbearably hot, even for an adult used to spicy Indian food. I double-checked my receipt and the mild selection was clearly there. Neither dish was edible for my child, and I could barely get through it myself. What's especially frustrating is that my first order at mild spice came out perfectly mild. Dishes like butter chicken and Mughlai korma-style preparations are traditionally on the gentler end of the heat spectrum. It would be great if the restaurant could maintain consistency in honoring spice level selections, as it makes a difference for the person eating it. 2) No rice with the main course: In every Indian restaurant I've visited globally, a main entree comes with a side of rice as standard. I didn't select "extra rice" on DoorDash assuming this was a given, and added only a garlic naan. What arrived was two entrees and a very small portion of naan (two thin slices, really enough for one person), and no rice at all. A heads-up on the menu or at checkout that rice is not included would go a long way. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously, because the food itself is very tasty!

Best of both worlds! I want to give a little grace in this review since perhaps I came in with high expectations so some of the dishes fell a little short because of that? It was empty on a Tuesday around lunch time but we were greeted warmly by who I assumed were the owners. The decor is fun, vibrant, and colorful in the small space. They are also popular with takeout and delivery. I actually really enjoyed my Lamb Vindaloo Tacos! The lamb was tender and it did have a good amount of spice. My friend and I both thought the Dirty Chicken Masala Fries and her regular Chicken Tikka Masala could have had more flavor. BUT with that said, my leftovers tasted better the next day! It really is a local mom and pop spot with such a cool concept and the food was good! I look forward to coming back on another day to try something different!
