And when they tell you you get what you pay for, Arrow Transport & Storage was by far, the best movers of the 3 and well worth their fees. Lemmie just say that when Arrow got to mom's apartment, I made sure everything was off the furniture, all boxed belongings to be moved were piled in specific areas and all furniture not going to be included in the move was placed in another area. This way there was less spoken directions and no confusion as to what's going and what's not, which resulted in a swift organized move out by the awesome Arrow crew. All the furniture was moved out first. They came in with dozens of blankets, tape, bubble wrap and securely padded every piece of furniture. No shortage of dollies, each man knew exactly what to do and how to handle the pieces. They worked together following direction by the main guy, (sorry I'm terrible remembering names) and never heard an argument between any of them. Then they moved out the packed boxes. We were on our way to the new place. Our new place was a cooperative studio. Co-ops have strict rules for movers regarding move-in window times, caution not to damage co-op property (elevators, walls, carpeting in common areas). They were extremely careful and abided all building rules. Arrow unloaded the furniture into the new apartment first, placed it where we wanted it. Assembled the bed frame with the mattresses. Re-assembled any furniture that had been taken apart for the move. Then lastly they lined up all our boxes in the hallway and within minutes had everything carefully piled in an area inside the apartment that was out of the way and easy for us to unpack later. They started nice and early, arrived earlier than the contract stated (which was great) and they were done by 3pm. If I tell you how STRESS FREE this move was it's because they knew what they were doing. They were friendly, courteous, and listened to mom and I when we had a concern. I will never hire the cheapest mover again. Because the aggravation from uninsured fly by night movers is not worth the money you'll save. My mothers' stress and aggravation becomes mine, and ARROW Transport & Storage made our move seem like a party. No stress, no mess, no problems whatsoever. They scheduled a zoom/facetime walk-thru of my apartment to see what I needed and to give me a better quote. I had started packing already and got all my own boxes so it was easy to see what I had left. What I really liked was the 'no BS' hidden fees. It was one price that wouldn't change, no matter the hours or added last minute box. Of course my move was scheduled and it had to snow. Thankfully this didn't stop them. 4 guys showed up right on time (during a snow storm on a friday morning rush hour in the city). They walked thru and got a game plan, then brought up all the blankets and plastic wrap and got to work. TVs were dismounted and put in boxes, mattresses were put in boxes as well. The amount of blankets they used to wrap my furniture made me so happy. While they took their time, they were still hustling - running from the truck to the apartment. Once we got to my new place, they covered my stairs with runners and wore plastic booties to ensure my floors weren't messed up. I wish I had bought the wall mount for my TVs for my new place, because they offered to set me up. The only thing I was disappointed about was that my couch didn't fit thru the garage entry so it was left in the garage. I wish they had tried thru the front door but they were adamant that it still wouldn't fit. After 7 hours, I wasn't going to push them. Regardless, would 100% recommend Veterans Movers and also hope Roadway doesn't ruin this small-business. I wish I could remember the 4 guys that helped me move to give them a shoutout! Thx!!!
