The service was friendly and quite pleasant, that was a wonderful change in comparison to my other Post Office experiences. The postal system was established from what I read in 1775. I wonder what Benjamin Franklin who was the first Postmaster General would think of our Postal Service today. Would he be happy if the Mailboxes were changed to blue in 1971? Or that the mail is not delivered by mule. From what I read, mail is delivered by Mules on a long trail in the Canyon of Arizona. Amuse yourself and find an article on that note.

For example, a customer asked the Postal worker how come I got back 2 original copies of my birth certificate when I submitted my passport application...? (Maybe cause you mailed both, and they mailed you back any originals they received..? lol). Parking on street or across there's a lot for the shopping strip. After we made an appointment for a few days later and although we checked the web site current regulations where we only needed the parents to show our faces, we were told that they also needed to see our little girl in the flesh. A third trip to accomplish what we set upon. Once we had satisfied all of the obstacles, we submitted the application and now we wait. Hopefully, our little girl can go to Aruba for Christmas. As an aside, both of the people in the post office we very friendly and genuinely seemed interested in helping us acheive our goal. They were informative and at the same time, sensitive to us in our dilemma.

So I live in the East Norwich district but I usually go to Oyster Bay Post office. One day I didn't have time to go to OB post office so I went to East Norwich. I had to mail a package. I didn't have any tape at home so I figure I will just wait till I get to the post office. I waited on line forever not to mention it wasn't even that many people in there it's like he just didn't want to help me finally it was my turn. Everything was an issue with this guy. First I ask for tape, he stated we don't have tape. ok I said to myself this is a post office how do you NOT have tape. so I say can I buy some tape he goes we don't have tape. Oooook then, can I purchase a book of stamps. He states we don't have any. Next I asked, Can I use your scissors please, he states I don't have any. So at that point I'm just thinking this is not so much a customer service issue it's a race issue now. So I said what am I suppose to do and he states I don't know. So I left because I knew my presence wasn't welcome there. On the other hand my mail man Matt is awesome. I couldn't have been blessed with a better mail man then him. Even when people mess up my address he knows that's it my mail. When my name is spelled incorrect with a incorrect address he knows it belongs to me.
