Reached out to Dhoom for photo/video services on Jul 13, 21 and was told he will send me package info but never did so. Followed up on 7/14, 7/15, 7/21 and send an email on 7/22 but no response. However, Kamrul's "read" is on so I can see he read the messages but never replied. At the end, decided not to go with them. They are extremely unprofessional and not responsive. Before you book them, I would think twice - if someone can't even respectfully text you, how can you trust them to return your photos / videos on time? Stay away if you can. Plenty of other options out there. Don't settle. 7/29/21 They commented on my review saying that there is a misunderstanding but in reality there is none. My original review is posted already, this is a response to the owners. Please check my original review. I am very surprised that you actually responded to this review, not only that but filled it with lies! And of course, there is two sides to the story, atleast say the truth! After writing my review, ive had people come forward discussing your disgusting work ethics, in some cases which even led you to court. And to be clear, i did not purchase the basic package, YOU offered us the artistic package which is listed in the contract. But then again, you didn't follow anything on the contract or any ounce of professionalism. The texts and email of course can clearly state that. Your response to this review is clear statement of how you treat a paid client. Your lies in your review is just profound. The incident occurred when you were doing my husband and mine couple shoot and thats when you informed us that your videographer stepped away from his equipment so how did YOU see the incident? You even said to us that your videographer found his equipment like that, so how did HE see it? The damage that was done to the equipment would've been handled if you had told us it had been damaged at-least once out of the many times we asked you about it. Once again, i will remind you to check your texts and emails on the multiple times we asked you about the footage and the reassurance you constantly kept giving us saying everything is fine. Logically, it makes NO sense but fraud actions when ONE year later, you decide to tell us footage and equipments were damaged. Despite it all, we have been advised to take legal actions but my husband and i are not that kind of people and especially because your parents are nothing like you, it wasn't fair to do that, and I quietly accepted that my precious moments will never be seen by my kids, i will never see my elderly father walking me down the aisle. I will never watch my husband and i celebrate our unity. Kamrul, the business you are in is to capture peoples dearest moments, treat it with respect and professionalism. I used them for two packaged events through The Sterling & Cheateu La Mer. They promise you lots of things they don't deliver. They NEVER answer any emails, calls or texts and then bombard the day of your wedding. You cant ask them to change or update anything in your book because they don't respond properly. I can't thank Kam and his team enough for their amazing work! It was beautiful and they captured all of the moments that we requested and more. They made an extremely stressful time for us, very easy going day. Their packages are reasonable and customizable, which we really liked and appreciated as we could work with them on getting photography prices close to our original budget. All the previous negative posts were correct, they are nice in person but they do not deliver what was provided on the contract. I was provided 2 free canvas prints but only had 1, also had a magazine and I had to chase them for 3 years to receive this along with my album. You couldn't believe the amount of emails and texts I sent to Kamrul. I also told him what songs I would like to use for my video and they selected some horrible song that had no lyrics. It sounded like doom and gloom. I've been chasing him to get it fixed but of course 4 years later that videographer is no longer working with him. Its now 5 years and I have 2 babies and still waiting for my wedding video to be fixed and 1 printed canvas. I even provided him with the picture I wanted maybe 2 years ago. He does not respond to a lot of my emails and texts about when I'm receiving my product. If I had to take him to court, I would definitely win. My wife and I were very disappointed in the service we got from Kamrul as a wedding photographer, to say the least. What follows is an extensive list of very specific areas where he failed in his duties as a professional and a photographer, so if you are on the borderline of hiring him, strap in, because it's a wild ride, and it's not going to end well. First of all, we gave him a schedule of where we needed photos taken and when well in advance of the event. When he arrived, despite having a paper copy of this schedule in hand, he completely disregarded it, leading timings for everything to be off the day of the event. He failed to take control of groups of people when taking photos consistently, and my wife, myself, and everyone else in the wedding party that we spoke to felt uncomfortable with the process of having their photos taken with Kamrul. I wish that was all, but it gets worse. So the pre-ceremony photos were over, and he for some reason decided to drive off site to "go get a drink and take a break" without notifying anyone. During this time, he missed all of the preparation for the ceremony, and in addition was 10 minutes late to the actual wedding ceremony. People were freaking out, and it was an absolute nightmare. I cannot imagine anything less professional from a wedding photographer than, say, deciding to leave and go get a drink during THE ACTUAL WEDDING CEREMONY. Good lord. Anyway, rest of the night went as it went, but the disappointments continued after he missed the maximum deadline for delivering the edited photos (6 weeks) by more than a full month, despite my reaching out to him numerous times. It turns out he was withholding the photos until we paid him for an additional hour that he stayed, however, he didn't actually inform us of this, he just didn't respond to emails or say anything except that he had already sent them, despite not having sent them, for months after the event. Oh, but it gets worse! More than a month after the maximum deadline that was specified on the signed contract, he was finally able to clearly communicate that he was withholding the photos until we sent him extra money. So we did, although we were very reluctant to do so, considering that we resented sending him any of money that we did already for a very unprofessional job. More than a week later, we got the actual edited photos. To say that the editing was an amateur job would be an understatement. There wasn't a single photo in the album of the cocktail hour or the dancing, somehow. The photos that were there were edited poorly, using a series of copy-and-pasted instagram-esque filters. Astonishingly, in one of the photos, he decided to spot edit someone out of the background, then copy-pasted the same spot edit to more than 10 other photos, taking chunks out of peoples' legs and shoulders and leaving random clone stamps and blurred trees in their place. Examples attached. Thank god we had it in the agreement that he would send the raw photos off the camera. I mean, he did send more than 30gb over dropbox, and refused to send them in any other way or respond to emails requesting this, and we had to pay for a dropbox upgrade to download them, but at least we got them. I am am amateur photographer myself, and am familiar with lightroom, so I decided to go through and re-edit the photos myself. In a side by side comparison, my edits were unquestionably better than the ones Kamrul provided, which is pathetic considering that I paid for professional editing, and am an amateur myself. Let me just tell you, if you are considering Kamrul for your wedding because he's offering a good price and seems like a nice guy, stop it. It is not worth it. This is a once in a lifetime event, and its worth paying a couple hundred extra dollars for a real professional photographer. I have an extensive paper (and visual) trail to back up all of the things I said in this review. We hired Dhoom Studio for our wedding in August 2018. From our e-shoot to our engagement, sangeet, wedding, and reception, Kamrul did a fabulous and amazing job in capturing all our precious moments. He took both my husband's and my input in how we had envisioned our shoots, photography, and videography and used his creativity to make it make it even better. I am a past client of dhoom studios and all these recent positive feedback he has been getting is all FAKE! They are employees of dhoom studios and are posting false reviews. Kamruls pathetic response to the negative reviews and claiming they are not clients of his clearly shows how much of a fraud he is. He takes peoples money and runs with it. Do not book him. I had the unfortunate pleasure to work with this studio for the most important day of my life. It was a huge mistake. One of the biggest flaws of this company is their communication. It is literally like pulling teeth. The person I worked with "Kamrul" left the country while we were still planning without giving an alternative contact. Then, with every step, had to be reminded of what was contractually obligated. Furthermore, after the event, communication with him was horrendous. As a company, it is their duty to inform clients about what efforts are being taken through COVID. Using COVID as an excuse when your offices are open is a low excuse. I felt as if I had to chase them and the final product was merely ordinary. They gave us photos which honestly seemed half assed. And the cherry on top, failed to capture the mother of the bride on one of the events. For the videos, they asked for edits and then spent 6-7 months to do the edits we asked them. The whole process felt unprofessional and rushed. If anyone is thinking of hiring Dhoom studios, save your money and learn photography and videography yourself because I'm sure you'll do a better job. read more

I got my wedding shot done with Dhoom Studio. I am really happy with the service I got. The photographer was really nice and friendly.

Booked for my wedding last year. My husband and I cannot stress how disappointed we were with the end result. The company furnished a wedding video with most of the footage being repeated over and over (mind you, we had a 5 hour long wedding, why they would repeat the same footage does not make sense). Also, the company overlapped completely different songs over random dance footage. So when people are singing to a song, the music they overlapped it with is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Plus, they did NOT USE A SPOT LIGHT on any major wedding highlights, like the Bridal Party Entrance and the Bride and Groom Entrance. A lot of the footage is dark as a result. Even the footage was lazy, at one point the video footage is dropped to the floor and that's how our parents dance was shot, from the ground up. There was no movement into the crowd, there was no camera angle change. We are heartbroken this was the only thing we have to show for our wedding footage.
