There's a large variety of newish, old, and antique items including jewelry, clothes, housewares, toys, books, etc. Vendors are able to rent space and bring their random items in, which allows for a good variety. The building is quite large and has another store in the lower level. They are separate businesses, so be sure to pay on the floor you're wandering.

I am replacing my initial review of five stars with this…read more I purchased a leather and steel love seat in Sept 2021. The price was $2100 which was a major purchase for me. The sales person was very kind and helpful during our interaction. We had some questions that he couldn't answer. He attempted to talk with the owner in another room and was given little and uninterested attention. Later as we were discussing the item and purchase, the owner happened to pass through the showroom and the sales person again attempted to ask him a question and he was given a flippant rather rude answer. It gave me the feeling of disrespect of the sales person as well as us, the customer. We purchased the item anyway, though we seriously considered walking. Now, 2+ years later, we have discovered a failure in the cushion hook and loop attachment system. The cushion is held in place by a strip of hook and loop (Velcro) along the front edge. The hook strip is sewn onto the couch. There is no loop strip. Instead hook strip grabs the fabric on the bottom side of the cushion. That fabric has kind of a fuzzy surface. When we remove the cushion, the hooks tear a little bit of the fabric away until I found that the fabric now has a hole in it. If it was a true hook and loop, the fabric would not have been subjected to this tearing. Of course this only happens when the cushions are removed for cleaning underneath. Admittedly, I haven't clean under the cushions more than six times in the last two years. That is not very many removals of the cushions that would warrant a "normal wear and tear" defense. The owner's earlier conduct was repeated when I called him about the failure. Disinterest and disregard. He answered "When we separate the cushion from the body of the chair, we place our hand right next to the Velcro and release it with a sliding motion, rather that just pulling up on the cushion. That lessans the tension on the connection point. I don't know what else to say. No one has every pointed this out." The couch didn't come with an Owner and Operation Manual. I didn't know that there was a procedure for removing the cushions. I am extremely disappointed in the owners attitude toward customer service and the quality of the company products. Although the over quality of the piece is good, I would not recommend doing business with this company.

And each were $1,000 or less. I've been burnt by $400.00 press board couches so I stepped it up to a grand and I definitely got my moneys worth. Our couch is really solid in its frame and even more comfy to sit on. Definitely the best couch we've ever bought. The service was great too. I found a couch I liked and ordered it online. They told me my couch would be delivered on Saturday between 3-5PM. They did not lie. Precisely at 3pm, their truck showed up with two friendly/professional gentleman and they loaded it up a flight of stairs and into my living room no problem. It was so quick and hassle free. Again, I'm no furniture critic but I am a very happy customer.

I have been to this pawn shop on a few different occasions over the years. Customer service is like night and day, depending on if you are buying or selling. For example, I had an extra portable air conditioner that I was willing to part with in the heat of one summer. I paid over $500 new. I took it in on a Sunday. They were the only place still open and they offered me less than $40 for. I said no way, which they all laughed at me as I packed this air conditioner back into my truck. They insisted I would be back. Instead, I put the air conditioner while still in the parking lot, on Craigslist and within two hours, it was sold for $240. I wasn't in a hurry but because the demand was high, it sold very quickly. I got what I wanted from it and was able to give a great price on a barely used air conditioner. No heckling, no snide remarks and didn't just sell something to a shark who is so used to getting his way, he won't even pretend as if they care about you business. Saying all that, prices on items are pretty fair. They seem to have a great selection and variety of things from electronics, tools, dvd's, jewelry and I'm pretty sure they have plenty of guns as well. My vote is 3 stars for their inventory. I am sure their prices are okay, due to the unbelievably unfair pay out, to people selling their stuff. I am recommending you take your money elsewhere. My opinion is based three deprecate and embarrassing experience's I have had over 20 years. Don't be surprised to get laughed at, if you choose to ask for at least 1/3 selling price. If you choose to sell your things that have value, be patient and sell it yourself. Get what you mostly know it's worth.

He generously and/or appropriately gave me a refund of a portion of the price I paid to a figure I felt was fair. I accept that my experience was the result of a sales person who is either in the wrong job or was having a bad day. When I have a need to return to this store, I will choose to be helped by a more considerate sales person. Original post. I've never purchased furniture at Samuel's myself but have accompanied friends who have and have, myself, been impressed with the selection of quality items and the staff who helped in my friends purchases. On October 15, I entered the store in search of an end table for a particular spot in my house. I was greeted by Mr. Van Den Berg. I explained what I was looking for and we moved around the store but found nothing that seemed right. He suggested I look around and he proceeded to sit at his desk. As I walked by, I saw an interesting piece that was near where he was sitting and was obscured by a fake plant that sat on top. It was marked "Hue Round Stool" # 12532 or 928419. It was made from laminated wood that made up a conga drum-like "stool". The glue had obviously failed from severely shrinking wood and there were cracked seams around the entire item. The SALE tag showed it to be marked down to $119 from a regular price of "$259". It was in very bad shape for the quality of what the store sells, but it was perfect for what I was looking for. I asked if it could be marked down more and I received a cold and emphatic "NO". I was tired of searching for the right item and agreed on the "as-is" price. While Mr. Van Den Berg was writing up the sale, I noticed on the attached tags that the original price tag indicated that the regular price was $199, not the $259 which was the MSRP. The sales tag was blatantly misleading. I pointed it out to Mr. Van Den Berg and noted that this "table", which was really a stool and would have sold at a garage sale for $20, wasn't even half off. All he had to say was that he would point this out to management. I proceeded to pay for the "table" since it was what I was looking for even though it was, in my opinion, over-priced. I asked if it could be carried to my car and he said he couldn't do it and nobody else was around. I carried it myself. I have to say, I am happy with the "rustic" table, but not happy with the experience. Most people would have seen this item as something to use in a garage or IN the fireplace. So much for my taste in furniture. I feel that I took it off their hands and would have praised Samuel's for selling it at a reasonable price.

June 14 went to Samuel's to buy a loveseat. Even though their prices can be a bit higher, we…read morewanted to shop local. Lou helped us. We identified three we liked. We were told one is no longer being made, one has a 6 week lead time, and the other a 12 week lead time. We were disappointed to have been shown the discontinued one as it fit my very tall husband best. We liked the 12 week one better, but went with the 6 week loveseat as family was to visit and we needed the seating. We paid for it in full. Called July 24 to get an update. Was told Lou wasn't in. The receptionist couldn't see the ETA page. Said she'd have Lou call us with an update. Looking at the receipt I did notice no ETA was given. Lou never called. Walked into Samuel's on August 14, 8 weeks after the order. Again was told Lou normally works but was out. Again the receptionist couldn't see any ETA information. However, it was stated that that particular company does have a 12 week lead time, so we were still in the delivery window. I said we were told 6 weeks and if we had been told the reality, we would have gone with the other loveseat that we liked better!! A copy of our receipt was taken. We were told Lou would call us with an update. Lou never called. August 25th we got a call from the office manager. We were informed that the imported parts needed for manufacturing the loveseat had been lost so there would be a delay. BUT also our order HAD NEVER BEEN PLACED so there would be a lead time of an additional 12 weeks!! We still needed the loveseat. I said my husband and I would discuss it and get back to them. We were offered a rebate for our inconvenience. August 26th husband decided enough. He went into Samuel's and requested the order be cancelled and a refund issued. He was told their accounting department would get back to him in a couple of days!! We're still waiting for them to call. When we ordered we paid for the item in full right then, but we have to wait on their leisure for a refund when the errors are theirs! They've given erroneous information, evaded communication, and took our funds but failed to place the order!! We've spoken to others, this appears to be Samuel's SOP. Do not recommend doing business with them unless the item you want is in stock, in their warehouse, ready for you to pick up right now!
