The proprietors are Debbie and Jim. Their curation is amazing. Before we even entered the store, they had good music (Ray Charles) playing at appropriate volume from high quality concealed speakers. More about that in a minute. While they don't have as much guy-stuff as they do girl-stuff, they have ten times as much guy stuff as any other five antique shops I've been in. Before we talked to Debbie about whether it was OK to take pictures (it is OK), I was sneaking photos on my phone where I couldn't be seen. If you want to outfit the best man cave ever, this is the place to shop. Which brings me back to the music. Jim does clever retrofitting of radios and other pieces, putting high quality Bluetooth-capable speakers in them. So there is pleasant music throughout the shop and it's hard to tell where it's coming from. The antiques literally sing. I had a huge grin when I found the first one. I KNOW there's music coming from this wall, but from where...? They should do a lot of these and make them easily discoverable by other than curious audiophiles. There is a wide variety of merchandise for sale, with a mix of antiques, collectibles, junk and garage sale type finds scattered throughout multiple rooms, outdoor structures and fenced off areas. The owner is a friendly older gentleman who has lots of stories about the items he sells. He's willing to negotiate discounts, and seems to be happy to meet new customers. I highly suggest checking this shop out. It's such a great example of roadside eclectic Americana, I'd hate to see fun places like this go under.

Recently I purchased a cut glass bowl from Diamond Antiques of Bellingham, WA on Ruby Lane. The…read morelisting read "there are a few minor nicks to the sawtooth top rim, but no other damage." The item arrived with a 1/2" and 1/4" chip to the base. I asked the seller to cover return shipping, but was informed by the seller that "Ruby Lane has a clear Return Policy, which states you can return any item for any reason with three days of receiving, however the buyer is responsible for return shipping." Both Rubylane and Paypal verified that they both share this policy, even when items are misrepresented. Per Paypal, I mailed the item back to the seller in the same box it arrived in, and in the same condition along with tracking and insurance. When it arrived the seller suggested I broke the bowl. He wrote me "Although you received the Bowl in one piece, it was returned to me shattered. The box appeared in good condition, but the contents were in pieces." I wanted to leave a review on Rubylane, but Rubylane gives sellers the option of showing or hiding their shop's reviews. This explains why you can't find any reviews for Diamond Antiques. I have been an antique collector for over 30 years, and have spent the last 3 years on the board of directors of an International Club that promotes antiques. In all those years I have never once been accused of intentionally damaging something that I returned. Be cautious when buying from this shop. This is the worst experience I've ever had on the internet, and I hope no one else is treated this way again by this seller.

There's two floors to explore in this absolutely huge building and they've got just about anything you can think of. During my most recent visit, I got a beautiful new bread basket, a 1969 Life magazine detailing the moon landing, and some new Christmas decorations. It's all over the place, as any good antique shop should be. The woman at the counter (I presume she is the owner) is super friendly too. They seem to run a fair amount of sales, so you might find something old you love at the perfect price. Have fun, take your time, and check this shop out!

This review starts over 20 years ago…read more My partner, who is a sailor and has her Captain's papers, purchased place mats that were essentially charts of local waters. Someone borrowed them. They were never returned. Five years ago, she got back to Anacortes, but the store was closed while she was there (2020 and all that madness). Quick advance to September 2025, she had to drive round looking for the store, we finally found it close to a shipyard, but its doors were closed for good. There happened to be a note on one of the doors, giving us the address where the store had relocated. Not only did she find the place mats that she'd lost, but much more... I went into the store after she returned to the car (puppy to tend to), and I found a number of things I was looking for: old coins, nautical stuff, old photos, a veritable treasure trove. This entered my list of places to revisit, and I'll be sure to find a new supply of snarky magnets (which I leave on the refrigerator door of a few deserving victims... heh heh heh). Nice place. Excellent selection, lots to see, more to buy. Enjoyed talking with the proprietress.

I ended up getting a great deal on a nice mid-century dining table that was missing a foot. He offered to find me a new foot, and went above and beyond to help me get it to my apartment. We've also been in touch via email, and he offered to alert me when he gets in new stuff that I'm on the look out for in my price range and style. Like, if I were back home in the city, this stuff would by 5x as much and I'd pay through the nose to rent a van to get the furniture back to my house, and no one would care that I want a mid-century bedside table with a drawer in walnut. The store is clean, well-organized, and doesn't have the dusty, oppressive, overwhelming, hoarder den, imposible-to-navigate feel of other antique shops. A must- go if you like beautiful old stuff and attentive customer service.

I had just moved into my little studio and I was looking for some things to furnish it, and I found the PERFECT dish set here. It was beautiful! The problem was, I didn't quite have the money to pay for it. Not only did he give me a discount, but he let me put a down payment on it, and I came back in a week to pick it up, and he had it all wrapped up for me to take home! Wonderful customer service, and great pieces. I will be back.
