I've gone here twice now, I think it's a great course and an excellent value. There's a large variety of holes, ranging from 160 yard par 3 on an uphill, to a 540+ yard par 5. Greens are rather large, and fairways are pretty open, there's a few doglegs and the course is maintained pretty well. If you hit off the fairway, the rough isn't that bad. Greens are kept really well, this is a great value course, I'd definitely come here more often. read more

I would not recommend playing here. At least on a weekend. For $50 i got a 5 hour 20 min course play time. People walking (no pull cart either) mixed with carts and pull cart walkers on a weekend is just bad golf. Plus the group in front of us were dressed like they own Nike, hit clubs that looked fresh from the store, shot 2 balls of the tee every hole and would've been lucky to shoot under 120 but the Marshall said nothing the 4 times he watched them play a hole for 20-25 minutes. Not to mention the poor condition of the place for the price tag. Terrible experience again. read more

Course is playable and in great shape! I've played here a few times in the past, but I moved to DB a few weeks ago and have played here three times so far. So this review is based off of 10+ visits. Here are my key points: 1) Slow play. It's slow. Did I mention it's slow? Even last night (Wednesday) when I played with my buddy it took 4h 45min to complete from the whites. It's slow because there are elderly Asians (I'm Asian BTW) walk. Good exercise, but they walk. With that said, they see balls as they're walking and will fucking pick it up. You will lose balls here even when perfectly struck because if they hit and errant shot and come across your ball, it will be picked up. You have to yell. 2) The fairway is well manicured, there are some dead spots and course repair spots but it's seldom. Greens are good, people are courteous and repair their marks. It's a tough little course, not too many hazards except for a few stupid holes with a drain that if your ball rolls into it goes down hill and lost. The course itself was built on the side of a mountain. Rough is punishing. Better hit in the fairway, because other than the Asians stealing your ball the rough will own it if you're not on your game. Lost a few balls despite seeing it land over the course of my visits here. 3) Horrible driving range. Like I said, it was built on the side of a mountain. The range is not leveled, and the mats are not that great. I know on certain days they change it to grass. You'll have to call and find out. the grass itself on the range is like crab grass that just grabs your club after impact. Balls are not great, Kind of a mix of just a bunch of shit that spews into the range from errant shots from players along with beat up range balls. 4) The lounge area has a decent selection of beers for a muni course. 5) Marshals and employees are chill because obviously they're not pushing anybody to play any faster. Obviously this is my new home course. It's a lot better and cheaper than my old home course, Ranch San Joaquin, that place is a dump. You can find really great twilight deals on GolfZing.com, usually anytime after 3:30PM in the summertime you can ride for $18 on the weekday. read more

OMG can I tell you this is a hidden gem. I have worked with Courtney Urquiza and her staff several times over the past few months and have always been very pleased. The service provided before and on event day were excellent. During the planning process, Courtney was very attentive to the needs of my clients and offered several options that would make their day special for them starting with set-up to menu selection. She even pulled the chef in on occasions to discuss food options which was very exciting because you don't always get to interface with the chef. On event day, all of her team was very accommodating and friendly from the coordinators to the wait staff. Jonnie and the bartender, I can't remember her name (Victoria?) were amazing, this is just a testament to the overall culture DBGC. This is definitely a venue you'd want to check out! Nice course. In good condition and some holes were challenging. Only complaint is slow play. We teed off early to beat the the crowd. But when we get to the 8th hole the Marshall comes over to us and tells us if we wanted to slow down we could. That's because they were sending groups out to play the back nine. WTH? Courses send people out all the time on the back, but most courses make sure they don't back up the guys playing the front. Well we get to the 10th hole and there is a foursome on the fairway, twosome waiting to tee off and a fivesome on deck. It took us 2 hours to play the front, 3 hours to play the back. I ask the starter if we had to follow the group and he said yes because they have back nine tee times. How stupid is that! The guys playing 18 should have preference over guys playing just nine. Not to mention, we saw the Marshall 3 times on the front where there was no back up or slow play. We did not see him once when we had to wait on every tee and every fairway on the back. Like I said nice course, but be prepared for a long round, even if you tee off early. read more

Interesting view on the range because the practice tees are elevated. Players Club is a good deal but the balls are not very good...mostly scuffed up and dirty. Need to rotate new balls into the pool more often. Course is a fun lay out with many opportunity to work on course management when teeing off. Because of the drought, many bare or thin spots on fairway. Course needs to have a hard look at the greens. Currently, they are very hard and very fast because the grass on the greens are very thin. Hard to find a big ball mark to fix, just a dent. How fast? On a few holes, when putting up to the cup, when the putt stops, it will roll back to where you began your putt...after trying to make that 12 footer 3 times and having it roll back to the same spot, I've seen players so mad, swing at the ball with their putter and accidentally take a divot. Only time it will stop is if it goes in the cup. Common to have a 8 foot putt that was above the hole role to 20 ft below the hole. The biggest complaint I hear from golfers after they finish their round is how many 3 and 4 putts they had. The pace of play is also a concern...close to 5 hour round even for the morning starters. The too fast greens are to blame...not just 5-somes playing. read more

Called to see what time they close. The said the range closes at 9pm. I get there by 7:50. Walk in to the store to grab a rubber Tee. They wanted to charge me ever tho I'm a member there. Walked back to my car to grab some cash. Got the tees and went to get some range balls and the machine was turned off. I walk back up to ask what's going on and they say they turn the machines off at 8pm. I told them I was here before 8 but had to buy tees but they said sorry they couldn't do anything. What kind of bs is that? Bunch of lazy and rude employees. I'm going to cancel my membership and see if I can get a refund from my credit card company. read more

So my husband and I just got married here last week, and we had an amazing time! I was very stressed out through the whole wedding planning but the day of the kitchen manager was extremely helpful to my husband and I. The only bad thing about this venue is it doesn't come with a same day coordinator like some venues do, but luckily I had a friend help with that. We originally worked with Michelle, but midway through the planning she quit or something which was unfortunate because she was extremely helpful!! The place is pretty spacious, and it has a little bar on the side which we liked! The food was actually really good the day of, we had a few tastings prior to the wedding, a few mix ups here and there but when the day came the kitchen manager really pulled through. THANK YOU!!! We still have a lot of guest telling us how beautiful the wedding was and how good the food taste!! The manager was able to accommodate us with some misunderstandings we had along the way, which was truly amazing of him. Overall after all the ups and downs with the planning I would do it all over again, I would just make sure I had a planner from the beginning to deal with everything like the planning, the contract, seating and everything in between. Planning a wedding is not fun! But we truly enjoyed our day thank you again DBGC! read more

Nice course that I would normally give 4 stars to but must knock off one star for one reason: Stan the ambassador that had an absolutely terrible attitude which threw me off my game. Of course we had to encounter this dinosaur prior to the first hole so that pretty much left a sour taste in our mouths for the entire course. We bought our rounds and cart and a small basket of balls. After finishing our small basket and awaiting our tee time we drove up to the first hole however in between the driving range and the tee box was Stan sitting in his golf cart. We slowed down as he exited and walked in circles around his own golf cart with his head down. We looked, he didn't look up or respond so we continued on our way at which point he begins screaming "Stop!". I stop and tell him he didn't say anything or look up so how do we know he wants us to stop. Then he just stands there and my dad finally asks if we can help him with anything and he replies in a terrible tone: " yea your receipt for starters." The rest of the conversation consisted of him being an ass and we having to tell him to be nice and that his attitude is horrible. I mean thank god for Stan the Man to stand there and stop the droves of hoodlums stealing golf carts and playing 18 holes of golf for free; you know after evading the eye sight of the clubhouse without paying. Hey Stan, how about you do your job and watch the people coming down from the CLUBHOUSE , where they just PAID and wish them a good game instead of being an absolute fucking cactus in the otherwise beautiful course. read more

What a hunk of Junk Diamond Bar Golf Course is! This course is downright scum! Dirt bunkers, dirt patches all over the fairways and rough! Even around the fringe is dirt! A course can't get any worse than this junkyard course! It's just the ugliest course! I wouldn't play this junkyard of a course for free! I'll never play Diamond Bar Junkyard course again! We had a reception here after my mothers funeral. We arranged everything over the phone. The coordinators we worked with made it a breeze. They were so prompt in getting back to us, as well as quick to answer questions and accommodate changes. During the dinner reception the staff was excellent. We had the Italian buffet and it was quite delicious. The assortment of desserts were top notch. We had two hundred-fifty guests and the venue accommodated this amount nicely. I had my wedding at Diamond Bar Golf Course a few months ago. Everything was perfect! The food and service was amazing!! The ladies in the event planning Jennifer and Hayley were so patient with my million of crazy bride questions. Had a blast with Jennifer while she walked everyone step by step in rehearsal. Hayley helped me with all my final touches and was the one to signal us while each of the girls walked down the isle. I remember the girls telling me the day before and the second before I stepped onto that final walk "breathe !! " They made all the difference!! I originally started working with Amanda Brown, who was absolutely wonderful, but then she left and I was forced to work with Courtney Urquiza who consistently tormented me to the point of tears, she's also GONE now, and I was never happier!! Then I met Lindsey and Jazmine!!! They were AMAZING to work with!!!! I LOVE them!! They, and the fantastic wait staff, were so accommodating, they took care of everything that was asked of them and were constantly checking on me and my guests throughout the event (my wedding) to make sure everything was as it should be. They took great care of us all. The room looked beautiful, and everyone complimented us on it!! I actually had nothing but compliments from the guests, everyone was well taken care of, and all requests were met immediately. The food was amazing, their chef sat with us personally at our food tasting and was friendly and professional. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a place that is accommodating, friendly, and very professional. read more

Went to a wedding..venue was ok...the room was set up nice..food was good.chicken wasn't dry..The servers were very helpful.Bar was old school.Bartender did a great job keeping everything moving.Drink prices were alright for what I would expect for a wedding...the only issue I saw was the sales manager I guess she was went behind the bar and was ripping in to him about some timing issue..i got to give him credit...if I was working and somebody came at me like that guns blazing with double barrels of arrogance and attitude I would have sprayed her down with the fountain soda gun and walked out...It was unnecessary,unprofessional and really awkward for me who just needed a drink. We played here on a Friday afternoon at 4:00. The people working in the golf shop were great! Very nice and personable. The golf was the SLOWEST golf I have played this year. 2 golfers in front of us were in 5th grade with no adult and they were walking!!! We were in a cart. At the end of the 7th hole we had been on the course for over 2.5 hours! We just gave up and went home. Won't play here ever again on a Friday and will call to see if it's all kids playing before I come back. read more

Broken windshield from a golf ball from their course and no action being taken. Incredibly dangerous for drivers. I spoke to managers Jay and Brandon O'Neill who offered no assistance.. they are unwilling to confront golfers or hold them accountable for the damage of my vehicle. Would advise being Incredibly careful around this location as they do not have adequate protection for vehicles or pedestrians next to the course. read more

On August 2, I had my car back window smashed and duffle bag stolen in broad day light around 2pm. They play was ultra slow but my main concedn and now issue was how unprofessional the course managed was in dealing with my unbelievable situation. If you have ever had to clean up broken glass from a car window, drive back home an hour in 94 degree heat with road noise ect its not fun. The young kid working the pro shop was great and incredibly sympathetic also gave me three icy bottles of water for my drive home after the ordeal (police reports -clean up of glass shards ect) -The following week after not hearing from the Golf course manager for four days (was my incident common-or just dont give a shit) i called him to share/update him on my troubles. After a little talk I could tell he could have cared a less -oh the signs say this -that. I asked for him to pay my insurance deductible of $100 or even refund my $43 rould of golf -something here to take the sting away or make it a fell good. Nothing came of it- lost opportunity Diamond Bar GC, I know the company line we cant do this that or whatever which we all know is crap-any biz or organization can do what ever it takes to apply a little service recovery-I do for my organization when something goes wrong. My friends from Temecula that drove in to play were also blown away by the car burglary but even more disgusted in how it was handled and I was treated. Oh well Diamond Bar have a nice day. read more

I had an early tee time as a threesome but had to push that back due to traffic. Diamond Bar gets a check for that. Our new tee time was forty-five minutes later and it's been nothing but slow, boring, and brutal ever since. I love playing this course, but not for the price of their green fee ($51);it's not worth it. There is no Marshall on the course to speed up the fivesomes that are abundant throughout the course, and those fivesomes have no sense of golf etiquette when it comes to letting a smaller group pass by. I've seen grass grow faster than the pace of play at Diamond Bar. I've seen pond water drift faster than the pace of play. I've seen old people - you get the picture. Golf is a rhythm sport, and if there's no rhythm, it's not golf. It's watching a bunch of people chase a white ball around, and those people think they're playing golf. Sorry Diamond Bar you fail at customer service and course management. read more
