Played here for the second time this past weekend. Management was extremely helpful in making sure our experience was better than last time, and we had a great time checking in and getting carts right away. Bar service was quick when we came in to grab breakfast burritos and drinks. The course is well maintained and beautiful. The areas that needed to be fixed up last time have been updated since then. Pace of play was great. We also enjoyed that they had a charity hole the day that we played- love to support a great cause. Compared to before the road construction, the course feels a little less polished and somewhat unfinished. However, even if it's not perfect, we are still grateful to have a public golf course in our area. The staff service was quick and friendly, and the food was decent as well. Diamond Bar Golf Course is a good test and well designed golf course that is in pretty good shape. Pricing is very fair and has good senior discount program that can be purchased for a small fee. Foodservice is not great as far as staffing since no cart girl was out on the course- in the coffee shop we had to wait for someone to pay for our drinks and water. My husband and I just had a wedding reception here this past weekend, and we couldn't have been happier and satisfied with how everything turned out. We had booked the venue back in Spring 2025 of last year because spots were filling up quickly. I highly recommend booking in advance if you're planning to have an event at the Diamond Bar Golf Course. I enjoyed this course far more than I expected, for the price. The layout was fun, had some challenging holes, with a solid spread between par 3,4, and 5's. I was bummed there was no cart attendant, and that the café wasn't open at the time we started. But once they did open, everybody there was great, the service was fast, and they had food ready to go. It would be nice if people would fix their divots on the green, but that's not the course's fault. I look forward to playing here again! read more

Played here three times since they opened, all in the afternoon super twilight times. The furthest I've gotten is to hole 16 but that's not because the pace was slow it's just because I am cheap and we ran out of sunlight. The course itself is nice and coming along really well, especially the greens versus when they first opened. It's along a freeway but no roads or homes are in play expect for one or two holes so you can swing free without fear of causing too much damage. Unless you somehow hit a high slice over the netting on to the 60 freeway on hole 2 during rush hour...which would be both scary but also scary impressive too. Anyways other than that I've never had a problem with booking and there always seems to be at least a starter there to kind of manage the flow of players. It can get backed up from time to time like the old DBGC but that's muni golf for ya. The course itself plays a lot easier than before in my opinion. The old 8th hole has been tamed to now be the easiest hole on the front 9. Additionally, the added improvements to the course have taken some unintentional hazards out of the course such as random drainage systems on fairways etc.... Diamond Bar is probably a course that is definitely in my top 5 of total rounds played and I'm definitely looking to keep it in the rotation. Can't wait to be back to play it again. read more

I love this course. I am new to golf and this has to be my favorite course to play at. Tee time prices are reasonable for such a nice course, but I have such a problem with how they let JR's/High School teams play on here. The first time I played here there was a high school team playing on hole 6. Being new I have no idea to navigate around them. I was with two guys that are more seasoned and we decided to just pass them. This teenagers have NO self awareness or their surroundings. On hole 5 we waiting for the teenagers to finish and afterwards they started walking back to the tee box where we were standing. We yelled at them to move out of the way, but were too busy talking to each other. Today two JR's was put in front of my tee time. They were fine, but now I realized why they play like there is all the time in the world. JR's only pay 8 bucks per kid. Even their parent was complaining because the front desk couldn't add some imaginary coupon code. So I was already annoyed. Bruh you're only paying 8 bucks to play 18 holes. Give me a break. My biggest issue is Diamond Bar should require anyone after 1-2pm (day lights saving) to get a cart even if they are a JR. These teenagers are just taking their sweet time with no care in the world. Mind you my tee time was 1pm. I'm hoping to get 18 holes in. My real problem is that these JR's have a parent/coach with them taking their sweet time and not playing at pace. There was no Marshall pushing the slow players forward either. If you're ok with a very slow pace in the afternoon and not get 18 holes in when you have 4-5 hours before it gets dark. Diamond Bar needs to do better with pace of the game. JR's should not be allowed to walk on without a tee time. I would only book early tee times when teenagers are not out of school. I would 100% not book an afternoon tee time during a holiday again. read more

Course is in good shape except for the greens which are full of ball marks. Speed of greens are great. My biggest issue with this golf course is speed of play. The last 2 rounds we played took very close to 5 hours and I only play on Fridays. Marshall Canyon golf course used to have this problem but they hired a marshall to roam the course to ensure all groups are keeping up with the place of play. This course was under construction for at least 2 years so I don't know what it looked/played like prior to the remodel, but I can comment on its current state. As for the design it's very straightforward. I can't remember any holes where the layout stood out. It was in decent condition when I played, but nothing was memorable. Prices are decent for a public course and the employees are so-so when it comes to customer service. I walked to course and will say the walk between 9 green and 10 tee is a beast w/ a push cart! It seems like you can get a time if you want to play/try here, but I wouldn't recommend it. Glad I tried it, but not worth revisiting. read more

I hadn't played here since the remodel was complete, but had a great time! Had an early morning Tee time and the pace of play was great (4-hours for the round)! My only issue was the lack of maintenance on the greens. Lots of ball marks that are not being fixed by other golfers. Will definitely play here again. read more

This review only rates the cafe at the golf course. I was there this morning for a special community event. It was 7:45 am. We went to the back by the bar so we had enough room. Floors were dirty. They appeared to be grossly understaffed. We asked for a carafe of coffee and some cups. We got the coffee, cups and creamer, but no stirrers or utensils. We ordered a few breakfast plates. 2 of us ordered the breakfast burrito and 1 a breakfast combo. The breakfast burrito was $11. When it showed up, it was pretty small. We ordered 1 with bacon and one with sausage. Both came with sausage and potatoes were undercooked. It was pretty dry and lacking flavor. Honestly, it was a $5 to at most $7 burrito. They should be ashamed to offer that for $11. The other combo looked decent, but we didn't get utensils for quite a while, and by that time the food was cold. For all the time the golf course was closed, you'd think they would have remodeled, or at the very least made some cosmetic repairs to the cafe. The bar has a vinyl padded rest all around it and it was all tore up. Definitely needs a lot of updates and TLC. Lastly, I found it pretty sad that there was only 1 napkin dispenser for the whole back of the restaurant. They took it off our table while we were still eating to put it on a table so others could get up and grab some napkins. Honestly, you can't make this stuff up. So, will I return, absolutely not. Like the course, but their website is not correct and misleading. Booked a tee time later in the day after the range was open at "11." Got there at 11:20 sorry range isn't open until 12... well why does your website say one thing and your course does another. Doesn't make a lot of sense should probably do better than that. You have lights on the range let the maintenance crew start earlier to meet the time you put on your website. Common sense isn't so common anymore. read more

This course was awesome after their remodeling. Sadly their regulars don't fix their divots at all. Greens are pretty trashed and marked up. No effort from the course to fix it. This was our first time on this course. We booked a 6:57pm tee time. Drake was kind enough to let on the course an hour early. Halfway through the course, we can no longer see where our balls are going because it's so dark. I feel like if you're going to offer tee time after sunset, the entire course should be lit, not just the driving range. We ended up leaving early because we didn't want to play 9 holes of "Where's my ball?" We asked one of the cart guys if we could get a credit for 9 holes at another time to compensate us for the inconvenience. He told us the manager wasn't there and he had to text him our info and for us to call tomorrow. Why is a business operating without a manager on-sit's. To top it off, we could smell the beer on the cart guys breath. The only reason I'd have to come back here would be if they credited us for the back half of our time. read more

Just got home from one of the worst golfing experiences ever. Updated golf course layout is beautiful. Greens are not good. Very Slow, bumpy, and weed removal holes left unfilled looking like the moon's surface. But that was not the issue: We had a 7am tee time and arrived only to find out that they have a US Postal Inspection Service scramble tournament with a shotgun start. Diamond Bar golf decided to mix public tee times with the scramble tournament because the US Postal Inspection Service did not have enough players to close/buy-out the course!! We complained to the pro shop about not warning us about this in advance and they just shrugged. It was BEYOND slow and unbearable. At 10am, we just finished 9 holes (3hrs). It was so slow that we decided it was too much to take and decided to address our grievances at the turn. Absolutely unacceptable and shameful business tactics. The best the course manager could do was offer is a discount tee time for a future round instead of a refund!? This idea that Diamond Bar Golf thinks it's perfectly acceptable to NOT WARN paying patrons about a shot-gun start tournament before booking a tee time is despicable. They should have closed off the course entirely. Needless to say, the few other patrons that had public tee times were also upset. read more

Returned for the first time since the course reopened. Looks like what they have done is shrink the course in order to accomodate the 57 freeway construction, and as a result the front 9 by the freeway is a mess. Looks like they shrunk the fairways size and moved some greens to accomodate construction and had to make and squeeze in some new par-3 holes. The new holes don't even register on Garmin GPS, so the hole numbers and Garmin GPS do not match. Also, the greens that have been moved don't register on Garmin, which shows the yardage to old green locations, so if you go by your GPS, you will hit the wrong yardage on these holes. They didn't even put any yardage markers, so at times you have no idea what the yardage is. They also do not have any new signs to tell you where to go to next make-shift holes. On some holes, you have to make an unintuitive 180 degree turn from the straight-through carpath to get to next hole but there is no signs to tell you this! read more

Talk about a let down. I am so disappointed in management. This course has so much potential yet it seems like they are catering to the elderly Asian community. First off it is nearly impossible to book a tee time online. I just called randomly on a Monday afternoon to see if anyone canceled and I actually got a 1:39 tee time for $60-riding (5hr 15min round). Let's talk about my experience: The course: They just closed down for over 2 years and put an absurd amount of money into it (I'm assuming). It is in great shape! They did an awesome job with the tee boxes being flat, the fairways and rough having grass (still growing in some spots but that's normal for new grass), the bunkers having beautiful semi white sand (even though nobody has respect and rakes), and the greens being big and having just enough slopes to make it fun (very little divots fixed). I would give 5 stars for the course itself. The Experience: Drove into a packed parking lot but I expected that because there are zero tee times online for the next 2 weeks. Walked up to the clubhouse and waited behind 10 elderly people to check in. They all had these orange laminated cards in their hands. It's a senior discount card I found out. I finally get to the front and hear the price that the elderly guy in front of me paid.. $21.50 to walk! On a beautiful 70 degree Monday at 1:30 on a brand new golf course! The large range buckets are $20 so I would have done the same! I paid $60 to ride. Very little carts were used for this exact reason. So I get in the cart with no scorecard, walk back in and find out that they are "running very low on scorecards". I got one anyways.. so I go to the first tee where 2 foursomes are waiting to tee off. No starter! Tee'd off 15 minutes late which isn't a huge deal to me. From then on we waited on every single shot til the round was over because everyone walks! It's not a short course either. 5 hours and 15 minutes later I finished. There was no sand containers in the cart to fix divots (on a brand new golf course), no marshall to keep things moving, and no cart girl. How on earth does a golf course put that much money and time into it and not have the management to make it a good experience. Oh and only charging $21!! Crazy to me! Most of those people paying that little have no respect for the course. The course is in great shape and has such a fun layout but it's going to go downhill fast if all of these factors keep happening. I wrote a review on this course 4 years ago and had a horrible experience where I left after 7 holes because that took almost 3 hours. It is happening again guys. Tried 10 times to book anything from their opening hours to 3pm for their weekends Saturday or Sunday. I promise you, you cant book. Times are released nine days in advance and open at 9 AM. This course is having the same issue as Wilson and Harding golf course, where in the first 10 minutes all the teetimes are booked until 3 PMish. Harding and Wilson golf course was able to stop having third parties use bots, and resolved it by having people pay a $10 fee. If you're having the same issue in trying to book, post a review so you can be heard, and hopefully management does something about it. read more

The course remodel was done pretty well. The issue isnt the course, its the overall course management and admin. No tee time ever starts on time. I have played this course numerous times and on average, the first tee is 2 or 3 groups behind. The club house hands out carts 10 mins before your tee time. You should be lined up at the first tee, on deck to tee off next, 10 mins before, not receiving your cart 10 mins before. The course frequently backs up and there is really no one who knows how to properly keep the course pace of play regulated. I would say that this is Southern California which I have found very few courses who understand golf course management so its more a symptom of terrible golf environment of Southern California than it is anything else. SoCal has a very low bar on what it calls standards of play. That said, this course could be much more efficient if it improves the cart situation and adds a real adult as a starter who coordinates well with the clubhouse to get the course off on the right track. read more

My local golf course. Has one of the nicest bunkers to practice you sand and even the chipping area has a lot of room to dial in your game.

This is the worst golf course to book for a big group. They immediately charge you $10 and $10 for cancellation. Online reservation sucks too since you can only book for 4 some per the same credit card and if you need to rely on someone else to book for you the next tee time right after your time may not be available anymore. Locals trash the greens with all their divots, fairways don't get repaired w their strike lines. Nice course, be prepped for a 6 hour tee time. Got a door ding in that tiny parking lot. Had a tee time for 4 at 3:27 on July 2nd. Arrived and everything was going well until we hit 12 and one golf cart started dying. After multiple attempts to call the pro shop with all 4 of our phones, we couldn't get through to anyone. So we tried driving the other golf cart to the pro shop and it died on the way back. After a 30 minutes of trying to get ahold of them, we just ended up walking back to the pro shop. I said I wanted my money back and I was informed that they would talk to the manager and contact me to make it right. Still haven't heard back. So unprofessional. read more

For this course to be renovated and recently reopened, it is a disappointment. There is no GPS the scorecards do not have a map of holes. Many of the yardage readings on my Golf APP are not accurate. The course conditions are poor, a half dozen (or more) hole's greens do not have grass? It looks more like algae? I don't know if the problem is a lack of sufficient funding for course maintenance or the greenskeeper. There was no beverage cart on the course either. It is a shame that it isn't better. I was anticipating the re-opening of this course it is close to where I live. I will monitor the YELP reviews to see if they improve. But, this course is a pass for me for now. read more
