I never write negative reviews, but what happened at Diamond beauty and boutique completely ruined my wedding day experience, and I would never go back again. I've been a loyal client at this salon for over a year. I scheduled my appointment about a month in advance for 11:30 AM on my wedding day. When scheduling the appointment i made it explicitly clear that this appointment was for the morning of my wedding day, and that my mother in law would be coming as well to prepare her for the wedding. When i called i started my call by asking the receptionist if the salon provides bridal services and does bridal hairstyles, to which the employee responded "Yes, we do" and then i went on to explain exactly what i wanted done. I clearly explained on the phone what I wanted, my roots done and my highlights bleached again to get a lighter blonde, and an updo. The receptionist on the phone acted like she didn't understand me, so I handed the phone to my husband, and he explained everything clearly, and she confirmed it and said it back to us and assured me she understood. She asked me what time my wedding ceremony was supposed to start and how long the drive there was supposed to take. When i told her it was scheduled to start at 6pm, she changed my appointment from 11:30 to 11, and i am quoting her: "So that we could have enough time to finish your hair color and do the updo". On the day of my wedding, we called ahead and apologized and said we were going to be about 15 minutes late and they said it was completely fine. We showed up at 11:10 and were seated. From the moment I sat down, the stylist started questioning everything I had already clearly booked and explained on the phone. I explained again that I wanted my highlights bleached lighter, exactly what I had discussed before. Instead of helping me, she started arguing with me and telling me she couldn't do it because my hair would "fall out" and get ruined. But last time i got told BY YOUR EMPLOYEE that we couldn't reach my desired level of blonde this time, but she assured me that on my next appointment we would bleach all of my highlight pieces again and then it would finally look the way i wanted. This was what i scheduled for to get done, and what i was expecting to be done for me at your salon on the day of my wedding. When Victoria refused me the service i scheduled for long in advance, and that i was explicitly promised by your salon to be provided for me, i was very disappointed. And when i asked her if we could perform a strand test, which is a standard procedure for resolving situations like this one, she got visibly annoyed and said she was refusing me service. As the reason behind her refusing me service she brought up her health condition. My question is: if her health condition prevents her from providing the service, why is she still working in that position and accepting appointments? At the reception i was told by the manager that I didn't schedule for the right services, and that they couldn't help me no matter the fact that my appointment was scheduled 2 weeks in advance. This situation was not fixed and i was left calling every single salon in the area to make a last minute appointment to get my hair done for my wedding. If i owned a business and a similar situation happened to one of my clients i would want the client to personally reach out to me and tell me about the situation, so that was exactly what i did. I reached out to the salon owner Miranda on Instagram and told her what happened, she told me that she would conduct an investigation to determine how she could assist me. I asked her to let me know of any progress on her investigation. Almost two weeks passed and there was no response regarding the investigation from Miranda, so I reached out to her again. She responded to me, saying that she conducted an investigation which concluded that i was being aggressive towards her employee, and she even accused me of assault. Completely disregarding the fact that there were two more witnesses, which Miranda was made aware of by me, she "conducted" a so-called investigation that only involved talking to her own employees, which made the investigation be very biased, one-sided, and simply wrong. After that Miranda blocked me on both her personal and the Diamond Beauty&Boutique account on Instagram. The way this was handled was unprofessional, and honestly heartbreaking on what should have been one of the most special days of my life, i do not recommend anyone to give their business to this place! read more

I was a loyal client for over a year and booked my appointment with the stylist Victoria Davis 2 weeks in advance specifically for my wedding day. I clearly explained that it was for my wedding and what i wanted done. The salon confirmed the services and even moved my appointment earlier to make sure there was enough time. On my wedding morning, after I arrived, Victoria refused to do the color I had specifically booked, telling me my hair would "fall out." But at my previous appointment, I had been told BY YOUR EMPLOYEE that we couldn't reach my desired level of blonde that time, BUT she assured me that on my next appointment we would bleach all of my highlight pieces again and then it would finally look the way I wanted. THIS was what I was expecting to be done for me on the morning of my wedding. And when I asked Victoria if we could perform a strand test, which is a standard procedure for resolving a situation like this one, she got visibly annoyed and said she was refusing me service because of my "attitude". I was not being rude or disrespectful, I was simply not willing to compromise on my wedding day after weeks of planning and after being explicitly promised what would be done at this appointment. There is a difference between having an "attitude" and standing up for yourself when something you carefully planned and were promised is suddenly being taken away from you on your wedding day. As another reason behind her refusing me service, she brought up her health condition. My question is: if her health condition prevents her from providing the service, why is she still working in that position and accepting appointments? At the reception, I was told by the manager that I didn't schedule for the right services, and that they couldn't help me, no matter the fact that my appointment was scheduled weeks in advance and that I had clearly explained exactly what I wanted. This situation was not fixed, and I was left calling every single salon in the area trying to get a last-minute appointment to get my hair done. I then contacted the owner, Miranda, hoping to resolve the situation. Instead, after a so called biased and one-sided "investigation" which only included Miranda talking to her own employees despite her being made aware that there were two other witnesses. I was accused of ASSAULT, to be clear I didn't touch any of her employees. What makes this even more concerning to me is that Miranda later posted a video of the interaction in the comments under my review in a Facebook community group, apparently as evidence of what happened. I watched the video myself, and it clearly shows that there was no physical contact between me and the employee. People in the comments even pointed this out to Miranda themselves. I was accused of assault despite the fact that I never touched the employee, despite there being other witnesses, and despite the video that was publicly posted clearly showing that I didn't make any physical contact with her. After this, people connected to the salon, the employees, their friends and family were slandering and lying on my name online in community Facebook groups. I was the person who had been refused service on my wedding day, yet somehow I ended up being the person whose character was being attacked online afterward. I find the entire situation extremely unacceptable and utterly disgusting. I was subsequently blocked by Miranda on both her personal and salon accounts and banned from the salon. Then, a completely different hairstylist, who graduated from hair school only 7 months ago, did EXACTLY the service Diamond Beauty & Boutique refused to do on the morning of my wedding. My hair did NOT fall out. She didn't even need to do a test strand. I finally got the blonde I had been asking for over a year, and I paid $100 LESS than I had been paying at Diamond Beauty & Boutique. read more
