Tip 1, there is a coffee service area on the South end of the Restaurant. If coffee service is not up to your expectstions, stirrers, creamers, sweeteners are back here. Winter visitors such as Elderhostel get set up for a buffer breakfast. Tip2, This is a good location for building patience. We had a good breakfast here after our night of rest on the ground floor. Some day, Tribal members will attend Northern AZ University for a Hospitality and Tourism Degree, or maybe intern for Xanterra, etc. Meanwhile, things are not Michelin starred here. Native American people are good humored and genial when comfortable in stranger's presence. Be comfortable and genial first. read more

Chances are you're staying at the Hualapai lodge and wondering what your dinner is going to be before you head onto your Grand Canyon adventure. Your picking is going to very slim in this area. When you enter, you're greeted with the stuffed heads of animal trophies over a nice warm fireplace. It really gives you that nice lodge feeling. The items on the menu is fairly basic American food, nothing too fancy. Burgers, fried stuff, soups, salads, that kind of stuff. Everything was made from basic ingredients. The salad was a bit overly salty because of the chicken and ham. The unique item is the Hualapai fry bread. Those are worth getting! But if you're doing the Havasupai trek, you may have your fill of fry bread down there as well. I recommend this place mostly due to convenience over taste. read more

I have been to this restaurant 3 times and every time not greeted at all except a very rude and grumpy waitress! we stood there and waitress looked at us never seating us for 20 minutes. then another customer said to sit anywhere. Another customer said we had to go get our own drinks . Finally the waitress came over never greeted us and just said well what do you want to eat nothing else! We wanted breakfast but she looked at her watch and said we are on lunch even though the only other Two tables were ordering breakfast and she made us stand there for over 20 minutes placing us 7 minutes before their breakfast cut off time. The place was not busy nearly empty. This waitress should not be working on customer service and apparently did not want to be there working We will never go back again to be treated like that again! Our group of ladies visited this spot three times during our hiking trip, and each dining experience was wonderful. The food was consistently hot, fresh, and enjoyable. On two of our visits, we were served by Phillip, who did an excellent job. His service was attentive and added to the overall positive experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals each time and would highly recommend this place. This restaurant was conveniently located same proximity as our hotel, making it easy to enjoy fresh, hot meals. The chili-verde was unusual in its texture and consistency but had plenty of good flavors; and the fry bread was warm and tasty; a perfect pairing. Located inside of the Hualapai Lodge in Peach Springs. Pretty much the only restaurant in this town that I could see. Came here around 6:30pm and it turns out that this is right around the time when everyone is eating. So we waited about 5 minutes or so for them to seat us. I ordered the ground chuck steak smothered in a mushroom and onion gravy. The gravy was good and thick and the steak had good flavor to it. The mashed potatoes were as just ok. Our server was so nice and accommodating. I felt bad because it looked like she was working all of the tables. Considering that you are out in the middle of nowhere and want a good meal, this is a very decent place to stop at. read more

We stopped here on black friday for dinner before our Havasupai backpacking trip. The menu has a lot of options and free wifi which allowed me to do some shopping while waiting for our food lol. Everything we tried was good and very big portion. We were so full and couldn't finish. Our group tried the following: supreme pizza, hualapai taco (served on a frybread), hualapai stew (came with a side of frybread), and Philly steak sandwich with fries. This restaurant serves decent meals ( not great but good if you are hungry) however, it is one of the most poorly run operations I have ever had the displeasure of encountering. Staff just doesn't show up. Only one cook and one waitress to manage the entire operation. Sunday 5/19 literally NO ONE showed up to open the restaurant leaving anyone in the hotel with no options other than gas station food and drinks ... I didn't actually eat here because I didn't think it was going to be open today (Easter Sunday) but it is. The menu looks decent and price's are reasonable. The food options look good too. We visited Diamond Creek the night before we trekked into Havasu Creek. I was a bit hesitant because often, when there is only restaurant in town, it isn't the greatest food. Most guests stayed here were getting ready to hike, many large group, we were warned about slow service before we were seated. When they say slow service, they weren't kidding... Dry nation here, I knew it but I still craved for a glass of wine with my dinner. Grilled chicken salad was average, nothing spectacular about it but I do appreciate that they have restaurant here. Breakfast was standard, I ate banana, yogurt and oatmeal, something light before my long hike ahead. I had recently stayed here for some business and had the pleasure at eating at the restaurant. Both evenings the food was delicious and it was one of the highlights during my stay. I was able to taste a variety of food, but the pizza was my favorite. Plus the fact I didn't finish it all and was able to take it back to my room and enjoy it later (Since the hotel had microwaves & refrigerators in the room @ the lodge). The food came out on time (No delays or to fast) and the service was great. Everyone I came in contact with was nice and cordial. Had I known this, I would've taken pics. Our server Shadai was pleasant, professional, and excellently attentive. As the beverages reached the bottom 1/4 of the cup, he was already asking/getting refills. Delivering our meals, he forgot the au jus for the French Dips: Noticed my eye contact and slightly raised hand, apologized, and corrected it immediately. 5+ stars goes to Shadai! Thank you for being so awesome! Our orders, party of 4 (2 adults, 2 boys: 12 - scant/picky eater & 14 - big eater): 3 sodas, 1 water with lemon Appetizer: Pork + green chile and cheese fries - 4.9 stars My pic of this was after we started eating: It's not very "pretty," but it sure was tasty! We nearly licked the bowl! The trivial 0.1 deduction is kinda funny: Never before in our experiences of "loaded" fries/nachos has the ratio of toppings/"loaded-ness" outweighed the fries/chips. It's hard to deduct anything for this, and I don't want them to change a thing. As I'm typically carb-conscious, I laugh at myself for actually wanting a few more fries! Total bill with tax, before tip: $61.29 We were hungry after our rafting trip (see my review of Hualapai River Runners). Happy that we made our 1-night accommodations at Hualapai Lodge (part of the Family Special Package) for the night AFTER the trip. The majority of the folks stayed at the Lodge the night before likely because of the early AM check-in. We couldn't imagine having to go anywhere after the full day of fun/excitement! We ate at this restaurant three times over the course of two days, because we were staying at the Hualapai Lodge and there is no other restaurant within 20 miles. Service was good at our first meal, but the experience declined with each meal that followed. As for the food, the portion sizes are huge! At our first dinner I had a burger that was very good...and it was tremendous! All of the other dinners at our table were quite large and I don't think anyone finished their meal. The one item that stood out was the fry bread, which my daughter loved! Our second meal was breakfast - we all got some basic stuff - bagel, eggs, yogurt, oatmeal - it's hard to mess that stuff up, so it was fine. Our last meal was another dinner. I had the spaghetti and meatballs. It was about as you'd expect at a place like this - bland, but fine. Everyone else had a decent experience for this dinner too. WE stayed at the Hualapai Lodge prior to hiking to Havasu Falls. We had dinner which included Hualapai Stew and Fry bread (not too much flavor on the stew so probably wouldn't get again/but the fry bread was tasty) and then I got the soup that was on special and a salad. The soup was very flavorfull and I enjoyed that alot! The salad was kinda sad looking and the lettuce wasn't very crisp. We then had breakfast at 6:30AM the next day (right when they opened) and that was the best of the 2 meals. We both got two huge burritos! They were filling and delicious! They told us it would be a 30 minute wait for a table so we got food to go instead. We waited for an hour. I finally got up and asked them when it would be ready. Then they brought it out immediately. The food was cold. It had obviously been sitting there the entire time we were waiting for it. After handing us the cold food we still had to wait another 20 minutes on the Oreo shakes that we had ordered when we first ordered our food. There is also never anyone staffing the hostess stand. You would be better off getting a frozen meal at the store across the street and microwaving it in your hotel room. read more

What a nice spot to enjoy some lunch along Route 66! The staff were all very friendly and brought some crayons for our toddler to doodle on her menu. The food was great. It did take a while to come out once we has ordered, but it was a good sign because our food came out fresh and delicious! My husband said the Chef Salad was one of the best he's had in a long time- very refreshing! I had the BLT on wheat, which was as substantial as it was flavorful! The cup of fresh cut fruit was a lot bigger than I expected, and my daughter was happy to have some berries and melon to nibble on. Definitely worth a visit along your travels! read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Rude staff and the menu seems to be decided by whomever is waiting on you. If you want something on the menu and the server doesn't feel like writing it down, they will tell you the menu is outdated. When I asked the waiter about side dishes that clearly say you get said item with this plate, he replied that the menu is "outdated". The food is subpar when compared to gas station food. I would walk across the street to the market before they close and get something. FYI- The server sat behind the register and watched us take a bite of our food. The fry bread wasn't thick and doughy; it was light yet substantial, if that makes any sense--quite good. I had the Philly cheese steak which was on the better side of good. The seasoned fries didn't taste terribly seasoned but they were cooked to perfection: light and crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside. The stew was satisfactory, needing some salt and pepper, but overall fairly tasty. This resto is within Hualapai Lodge and near route 18 if you're planning to hike Havasupai Falls and you can eat here before and after the hike :-) The food was so good and very filling i think i ate like i haven't eaten for a day and we didn't even hiked that day hahaha! Our server was so nice and was able to give us more information regarding other hiking trails and/or attractions in the area especially how many hours to drive to it (she's obviously a local so she know these places like the back of her hand) We really enjoyed our brunch and the next time i come back to Arizona to conquer the falls i would definitely eat here again. :-) They also have a gift shop and in front of a gas station so this is also a good spot for stop overs. read more

Our experience was excellent! It is a very casual restaurant within the hotel. Our server was very sweet and gave great recommendations. I had the pork green chile stew which came with a side of freshly made fry bread and enjoyed every bite of my food. I switched back and forth between dipping the bread in the stew and eating the bread with honey. The boyfriend ordered the "taco" which is beans, ground meat, lettuce, and tomato over a large fry bread (with sour cream and salsa on the side). He also really liked his dish but said the meat didn't have as much flavor as it could have. read more

We stayed at Hualapai Lodge the night before hiking Havasapai Trail. We knew we wouldn't have much options once we got out there but we were more than happy to try this restaurant out. Oh and warning, this is a "dry town," so they sell no alcohol. Boy was that a dinger! So BYOB if you are heading to these parts. Our server was friendly and informative. Out of the 8 of us, 4 tried the Indian Stew. It was a good hearty meal and pretty large. It came with fry bread which we all fell in love with. Very similar to the funnel cake dough. It was good for dipping in the stew as well as adding honey to it after dinner for dessert (they had honey on the tables). I got the steak salad which took a lot longer to cook. Everyone was almost done with their meals by the time mine came out. She did leave me with a small soup to hold me over while I waited. I had already been eating some of the stew so I was pretty full. The steak on the salad was really great. Cooked just right. We needed a good meal before heading on our adventures. read more

The only reason we are giving this place a 3 star is because they had burgers and we were starving. We had driven all day long to get here and hadn't eaten. The service was a little on the slower side. The restaurant itself was not that clean. They got the orders correct, which was good. However, the french fries were completely uncooked and oozing with grease. I don't know how hard it is to make fries, but apparently these people are challenged. The worst part was that I paid in cash. They couldn't count change!!!!! I don't mean that they miscounted and gave me the incorrect amount. I mean they had no clue how to count change!!!! They didn't know how much a quarter, dime, or nickel was worth! I had to tell them how much to give me back. Just WOW! read more

The service was so slow it was ridiculous. After we were seated we waited so long I had to go back to the hostess and ask for a server to take our lunch order. They were not busy. I think there were 4 or 5 other tables, that is all. After waiting several more minutes the hostess came over to take our order. I don't understand why there were three uniformed staff standing and chatting with each other the entire time. The food was pretty good overall. But the server never came back to ask if we needed anything else or how the food was. I blame lack of good management and lack of proper training. Shameful to treat your customers so poorly! Hen we had to go back and ask the hostess for the check. It was amazing how slow the service was. This is the only restaurant in town.
