I needed a special size/style door, and was delighted to find Diamond Doors. Matt responded right away to my inquiry, and came out within a couple days to give us a free estimate. He explained my options, and I ordered it on the spot. There was a little hiccup with our door missing the delivery truck, which pushed installation a few days, but ultimately it was done in plenty of time (because our house was being painted, and we needed the door to be here for the painters) The installers were very professional, quick and even threw in the hinges and door stop that I forgot to purchase. We even had a doggie door that we brought to their office and they installed it for free, before delivery. The installer (Alberto Torres) assessed the job before installing, and recommended I route out the subfloor 3/16 for a flush fit with my new flooring and the new threshold. We worked with Diamond Doors to install multiple interior doors with moldings. The doors themselves seem to be installed solidly but the molding is a HOT MESS. What's worse is that after I contacted the owner with pictures to express concerns that his employees didn't seem to know what he was doing, he came out, agreed, and then said that someone else would come out to help / fix the issues. They sent the same person back and rather then flush cutting the existing base molding to slide in the new casing, he just used his hammer to rip out my existing. Well the net result is the molding looks nothing like what we asked for, and they damaged the existing molding in multiple rooms. Then when I sent more pictures to ask for an explanation he tried to tell me it was already that way before they started and called into question my door warranty. The owner is refusing to take ownership of his employees mess ups and now I am going to have to spend even more money to get this fixed. I tried to have my credit card reverse the charges but apparently you have to do it within 2 billing periods. Since these were special order that was not possible. the first photo is what that said they could do (they sent it to us). I continued to find problems of the doors in the house installed by this company. It's just ridiculous. The two doors in the laundry room are not even, and one cannot even latch properly. The other one is so tight that the door handle starts to loose up and need to be fixed now... The craftsman is a joke! If you're looking for a contractor, do yourself a favor and avoid this company. In addition, the builder contacted another door company and they came and fixed the the large gap problem within an hour, which was told by this company not fixable and "by design" for wood expansion...lol! read more

I called them when I urgently needed a 42 inch front door one and a half weeks later. 42 inch (that is decent) is sort of non-standard and I got an estimate of "4 weeks plus 2 weeks of begging" from most stores in San Jose through Sunnyvale. By far one of the worst, most irresponsible businesses my wife and I have dealt with. Multiple promises and commitments made, with absolutely zero follow up. We paid a large sum of money for a new front door that ultimately failed, with multiple cracks coming out once exposed to the elements. We were advised at one time by Diamond Door that the door would be replaced, with a representative from Diamond Door coming out to confirm measurements. Several weeks have passed and we have had no response to emails and messages left for both Aaron and Matt. I had so many problems with ordering a fiberglass door from Lowes. Lowes took over 6 weeks and still did not get it done. I just cancel my order and found Diamond Doors. I didn't realize how good Matt and Aurelio were until we tried another vendor. There have been hiccups in the past but they really work hard to make things right and to earn our business. Door mix ups are always a problem in construction and cause expensive delays. With they these guy I just give them a call, they find out what I need in the field, they order what I need , and send me my bill and that's it. They came and took the measurements for my new door and when I received it I took it home and painted it. Went to install it and found the middle hinge cut was wrong and so was the length. Went by the shop to ask them to repair it and they blamed me for painting it without first hanging and checking it. Said they would come by and pick up the door, re-measure and make it right!
