During my maid of honor's speech, she mentioned that I love One Direction and Zayn Malik. Immediately afterward, Raffi played "What Makes You Beautiful," and it was SUCH a hit. I had never put that song on any request list and honestly would not even have thought to ask for it, but in the moment it was exactly the right song. That is Raffi's superpower. He actually listens to what is happening in the room, understands the crowd, and knows what people want to hear before you even realize it yourself. We are also an Indian couple, and even though Raffi is not specifically an Indian DJ, he mixed Indian and Western music together seamlessly.
