For couples, he starts with an individual 1:1 session with each person. In mine, he covered and uncovered more than I had in many sessions with other therapists, and when I shared with my wife what we'd worked through, she agreed we'd covered a lot in one session and was impressed. Every session, he sets a clear agenda up front, what we want to cover and what he wants to cover. He's calm, targeted, direct, and easy to talk to. He remembers what we've discussed, listens without judgment, and offers precise thought, behavior, and communication suggestions at just the right moments, when we've reached a point of realization and they have the most impact. He also always asks how our son is doing, and you can tell he genuinely wants to know. The office is calm and private, booking has been easy, and sessions always start on time. The benefit of my medication is quite deminimus compared to the frequent rebilling calls I receive. This office primary goals are maximize revenues, playing the gray area between insurance and billing co-pay from clients, rather than leading with exceptional psychiatric care. They're almost like a used car business using offshore phone center techniques to bilk customers, constantly calling them for new charges, and then the phone center hangs up when they can't answer your question.
