Then Rob told me "I worry too much" on a subsequent call that I made. They never contacted me until then one month in their shop came up with a bill of $4500 when I didn't intend on paying more than $1500. Why not make it $12,000.00 or 20k? Any price they wanted. So I paid because they wouldn't give me the machine. Then the machine was returned to me. The tracks didn't work right. They came and repaired and left. Then they came back again because it was leaking still. They fixed that leak then left. It's still leaking and $2500 dollars later I have a machine that still leaks. Then they told me they didn't want to do business with me any more after coming to look at the last leak which isn't fixed. Bill Jacobs did not try to "upsell me" over the phone, telling me possible solutions that were less complicated than I anticipated. He assessed the issue, evaluated the drainage piping issues and suggested least expensive solutions first, with further review once accessing the drain pipes. He communicated extremely well around appointment times, during the project, even showing pictures to explain how the progress was going. He made improvements over what the builder failed to do, burying gutter downspouts and connecting all drainpipes around the house. His crew unfortunately cut my underground electric dog fence, which was my fault as I forgot to indicate the lines. They told me what they had done and fixed it themselves the next day. After the job was completed, they cleaned up the site perfectly and threw down hay until grass regrows. Bob then took me around the house explaining all that he did, and answered all of my questions. Bob Jacobs is a man of his word, is honest, communicative and shows pride in his work. He correctly assessed what needed to be done, as the area flooded weeks later and my basement is dry!! This did not faze Garcia's crew, who worked hard all day to take it apart from the top down and took away all the debris. During demolition I was expecting a lot of noise and dust from jackhammering the concrete, but they used the jackhammer very sparingly, mostly relying on sledgehammers to get the job done. The price was very reasonable and the guys were very friendly.
