UPDATE 2: It took over a year and dozens of calls, and this review finally go thier attention. The business sold in May to new owners but would note, some of the same employees that had been working on this issue are still involved. Thankfully Bill, who holds the contractors licence for this bisinesss finally got involved. He removed and replaced the layers of calk applied by the company over the in the 1.5 years since install on two windows. He also replaced water damaged damaged sheetrock associated with 1 one window and repainted the trim. He was apologetic and came out to address the issues as soon as he was made aware. While the office said they had no record of the job and we need to provide the receipt, which we did, the company says the sills were already warped upon installation and will not address. Not sure how both things can be true: no record of install while also having original notes. No leaks during 1/8 light storm. Time will tell when we get significant weather. Thanks for your efforts Bill. I will update again when it has been determined if the repairs hold. UPDATE 1 Weeks later, Jan 6, 2026 Bill who indicates the license is under his name and Dan are finally at the house. Took many many calls, with a plethora of excuses by the business and a bad yelp review to get thier attention. The office said yesterday they would be out today. They did an awesome job and when I asked them to repair another window a sliding patio door they only charge me $50 for the extra work ( new roller and bottom track ) . read more

I thought I had to replace the entire window at my property but because of the siding I was told I should call Diamond Glass bc they can just change out the actual glass and not have to remove the entire window frame. The office staff was very knowledgeable and friendly on the phone with all the dealings that I did with them. Their prices are fair, their time in doing jobs was very acceptable, and the quality of work was phenomenal. This is the place to go in Reno if you need glass or mirrors. In fact several years back they put a large mirror over my fireplace they were the only place around that would cut a hole in the center for the chimney they did a great job and it looks very nice in my home. While we were packing up our stuff to relocate to Seattle one of our nightstand glass pieces broke. Without the glass piece it was not functional and because it had a beveled edge it was going to cost twice as much to get it done. Because there are no glass shops in Reno that bevel, it had to be outsourced to a glass specialist - not something I would want to have to handle knowing as little as I do about glass. Diamond glass was honest, knowledgeable, transparent, and communicative throughout the whole process. I had left the unbroken matching glass piece there so they had a physical reference and, when I went to go pickup both pieces of glass, they were absolutely indistinguishable - I could not tell the difference between the original and the new piece at all! Brought /dropped off window for replacement glass. Quoted price of $240 (which was completely over priced per industry standard but had no choice for which they promised a quick turnaround - which in fact did not happen) then proceeded to charge $270 upon check out/glass pick up. Upon questioning the overage, they denied even giving me the original lower quote right to my face. The owner proceeded to scream profanities at me and run me out of the business. From reading other reviews, it seems to be their style to conduct their business in such an unprofessional way. They refuse to acknowledge nor refund any of the overage. Incredibly poor customer service. We have a wood dining table and called Diamond Glass for a quote for a custom fit glass overlay. They quoted a price of $220 + tax + $60 delivery fee, then a 10% military discount making it a total of roughly $265. Weeks later after a significant number of phone calls on our part to check on the status of this as it was taking longer than they estimated, we finally arranged for delivery. We took the afternoon off of work for delivery, and then after waiting home for several hours they called and said they would be unable to deliver it that day due to a scratch on it and they would need to order a brand new one from the distributer. When the new one arrived we scheduled a new date for delivery, and the glass was delivered to our home by 2 sketchy looking men. They brought it in the home and unwrapped it, and proceeded to clean it for 30+ minutes, smudging it with their own hands as they went along and thus having to clean it further. After it was installed they showed us the bill and asked for a signature, the bill was for $320 + tax + $190 labor cost (2 men 1/2 hour each) for a grand total of $484.72! We immediately called and asked to speak with the manager or owner of the company, who played phone tag with us and denied having ever quoting the original $220. Also, they denied that they offer a military discount. The "labor fee" for $95 per worker for a half hour was absolutely absurd and not anything that we were made aware of when placing the order. Ultimately they came down about a hundred dollars off of what the bill stated, but this was still much more than the original quote. Overall, the attitude of the owner of this company was very disappointing in his complete lack of desire to honor the quote one of his employees had given us. We did learn a lesson here to always get a quote in writing for anything we order from any company in the future. Go somewhere else for your glass work where they will treat the customer with the proper appreciation they deserve. read more

My front living room window shattered somehow. I needed it fixed right away because I had animals in my house and they could easily jump through and hurt themselves. What a catastrophe. We recently had one of our windows broken by one of our friends named alprazo. We called Diamond glass to come and repair the window, and they told us that they would come and take the measurements yesterday. Well, today it's becoming afternoon and we are starting to get curious about where the glass repair man is. We call and Matt answers. He is rude and unhelpful. He informs us that the measurements were never taken and that our window won't be finished today. We are devastated. Our front door's window is busted open and only being closed off by a mere piece of cardboard. We are shivering cold in our house. It's extremely unfortunate. We have used this service in the past and were very pleased, but now we won't be able to get our window fixed until next week on our days off (Tuesday Wednesday). NO NO NO NO NO!!!! The WORST company. I never take time to write reviews but you all deserve to know. If I could give 0 stars I would. Around the 20th of March 2018, I had called Diamond Glass Company to repair a broken window located on our back door leading to the porch and backyard. They told me it would take about five days for the glass to come in and then they would call and schedule a time to come repair the window. After almost three weeks go by, I still have no received one phone call from this company. I figured there was some sort of crazy delay or perhaps (after thoroughly rereading their reviews and seeing that all of them are negative) they forgot about me in general and I would need to seek out a new glass company. On April 10th around 9am, while we were sleeping we woke up to hear the tape on our back door being ripped down and were immediately alarmed. We (my roommate and I) texted each other from our rooms and locked our doors. We listened and heard the chain being tampered with and the bells attached to our door ringing, followed by the sound of our door opening. We were astonished and terrified, my heart actually stopped. Not only had this person broken into our back yard, they went up our stairs, ripped the tape off the window, stuck their arm in and unlocked two locks on the door, and entered our kitchen. We sat there terrified, unsure what to do, hearing footsteps walking around our kitchen. Mind you we are all young girls, often walking around our house comfortably dressed/in our underwear with the blinds shut, so we were just grateful we were not in our bathroom/kitchen/living room half naked when this happened, though I was just moments before. But we were in our rooms, and after putting clothing on, my roommate snuck out carefully while I was ready to dial 911. She walked out there to find a man standing in our kitchen claiming he was here to fix our window. He claimed "I called you 15 times this morning and no one answered." This was not the case, as I had one missed call with no voicemail that morning and I had been sleeping. He did not seem mentally all there, which made it even scarier. He said "I didn't think anyone was home" and "I heard a dog bark, where's the dog", as if that mattered at this moment in time. He proceeded to then say "this window should be fixed now, I just tore down this duck tape easily and got in, anyone could break in." YES, this is exactly what YOU just did sir. Every time my roommate tried to talk to him, he immediately talked over her and shut her down. We did not know what to do, because whatever we asked, he did not listen and continued to stay. She mentioned to him that it had been three weeks and no calls were made and no appointments were set up, and he completely ignored her. We mentioned that he should not be breaking in to peoples houses and if someone does not answer their phone or door, that does not give you the okay to break into their homes, but yet again he did not care. Apparently whoever measured the window was incorrect and he told us "I don't know what that guy was smoking when he did the measurements but it's clearly wrong", so he said he would need to leave and come back in an hour or so. We told him that at that time no one would be home (and if one of us was home we would not feel comfortable being home alone with him after the incident he just pulled) and we did not want him in our house unaccompanied, so we asked him to call and set up an appointment this time to ensure we knew he was coming, someone was home, and he would not break into our residence again. Repeatedly we told him do not come back. He again continued to talk over us and left. An hour goes by and guess what?, the man not only returns, but instead of at least knocking at our front door, he again breaks into our back door, undoes the lock, and enters our house again. I am getting out of the shower at this time and walk into my living room on the way to the kitchen to grab ice (in only my towel), when I stop and realize this man is standing in our kitchen yet again. I run back to my room and immediately text my roommate, in shock that he has done this again. After the man broke into our house twice, he proceeds to leave the gate in which he's broken into open, and when my dog is later let out to go into the backyard, escapes, causing another fiasco in our day, leaving us searching for hours for my lost service dog, resulting in me calling into work. Days later I stepped on a shard of glass and realized he did not even clean up the glass he used. The owner was incredibly rude and continued to talk over me and yell on the phone "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO". Well sir, as a manager, you should be mentally equipped enough to know how to handle this situation, but I guess (judging by all the other negative reviews) it is a task too great for your IQ level. A police report has been filed and as a secretary to the DA, am pursing further action. read more

This is a great company! We had some glass table tops cut recently and some picture glass to replace the ones broken in our move. Bill came out to take measurements and give us an estimate. He was very personable and friendly, explaining all of the options for finishing the edges. The prices were very reasonable, especially in comparison with other vendors in the area. The round table top cover fit perfectly and was well finished. The buffet cover was a rectangle with a free-hand cut curved front edge. It too fit perfectly.
