I so love it when businesses do everything so well that I'm able to write glowing reviews. Doing due diligence before hiring a contractor is the mother of homeowner's good luck. We had this glass contractor do some glass work for us after we'd thoroughly checked 'em out. High Caliber Glass has an active Nevada contractors license, 0077399, in Classification C-8 Glass and Glazing https://www.leg.state.nv.us/nac/nac-624.html since 16 October 2012, with no verified complaints. Service staff graciously answered all our questions promptly which made a good first impression. Did what they're in business to do Has average prices Did it for the price they quoted us Did it within the time they said they would Delivered what they advertise. Truth is the highest virtue, but higher still is truthful living. --Sikh Guru Nanak Followed CDC rules They were professional, clean and organized. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier. --Mother Teresa Customer service was adequate The owner(s) of this business like their Freedom so they have a daily Military and Veterans Discount to those who Serve or have Served as a token thanks to our GIs and we Veterans. That's important because it provides Veterans (rare 7% of the population) and GIs (rare one-half of one percent of the population) opportunity to participate in American Dream Veterans and GIs' sacrifices have made possible for 100% of the population. A Veterans Discount means a lot to those unable to be employed due to military Service-connected disability as on limited fixed income. According to Yelp ratings' definitions, 3 Stars is "Ok". That to me is an acceptable rating of a business that does day in and day out what they are in business to do. 4 and 5-Stars to me is when a business goes over and beyond what they are in the business to do. High Caliber Glass earned 4th star for its Military and Veterans Discount. On this day in history 4 January 1910 - Commissioning of USS Michigan (BB-27), the first US dreadnought battleship. 1928 - US Marines participated in the Battle of Quilali during US occupation of Nicaragua from 1912 - 1933. Known as Banana Wars, US military invaded various Latin American countries from 1898 to 1934 to stop other nations from building a Nicaraguan Canal. US purchased French interests in the Panama Canal in 1902. 1944 - Operation Carpetbagger: US aircraft begin dropping supplies to guerrilla forces throughout Western Europe. The action demonstrated that US believed guerrillas were a vital support to the formal armies of the Allies in their battle against Axis powers. Virtually every country that experienced Axis invasion raised a guerrilla force; they were especially effective and numerous in Italy, France, China, Greece, the Philippines, Yugoslavia, and the Soviet Union. 1955 - US agrees to pay Japan $2 million ($22 million in today's 2023 dollars) for radioactive fallout damages resulting from US atomic testing in Marshall Islands. 1979 - Ohio approves out-of-court settlement awarding $675,000 ($3 million in 2023 dollars) to the victims and families in the 1970 shootings at Kent State University, in which four students were killed and nine wounded by Ohio National Guard as it opened fire on a crowd peacefully exercising their 1st Amendment right to protest the very unpopular Viet Nam war. The tragedy was a watershed moment. In its immediate aftermath, a student-led strike forced the temporary closure of colleges and universities across the country. The events of that day in northeast Ohio decisively tilted public opinion against US military involvement in Viet Nam. The last military draft call was 7 December 1972, and the authority to draft into military expired 30 June 1973. The date of the last drawing for the draft lottery was 12 March 1975. Registration with the Selective Service System was suspended 1 April 1975, and registrant processing was suspended 27 January 1976. Selective Service registration for draft into military was resumed July 1980 for men born in 1960 and later. It remains in effect to this present day. Men are required to register within 30 days of their 18th birthday. Which I believe discriminates against men. Women should also be required to register. Failure to register is a felony punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or 5 years imprisonment. Also, a person who knowingly counsels, aids or abets another to fail to comply with the registration requirement is subject to the same penalties. 2002 - Sergeant First Class Ross Chapman, US Army Special Forces aka Green Beret, at age 31, after 13 years of Service, dies near Khost, Afghanistan. He became the first US soldier to be killed in action (KIA) there by enemy fire. In 1989, had he parachuted into Panama as part of the US invasion of Panama.

After 4 weeks I left a message to ask what email should I be looking for because I had not received one. He didn't return the call. I called several more times and left messages giving a few days in between. I finally called from my work phone and he answered and I told him I had not received a quote yet and verified my email address. He admitted he had not sent it out and would get it out within a couple days. I never received it and he did not respond to my last message on vm. I feel like I dodged a bullet. Imagine if you needed to call for an installation issue or repair. He might just avoid you. I even told him when I got him on the phone from my work line that if he couldn't do the job it was okay, just let me know so I can move on. I just think that is a sign of what you might get for a follow up. So my suggestion for improvement is don't be afraid to say that you are not right for that particular job. It happens and then there would not be a reason to review. Disappointed because I like to support local businesses. If there was a zero star I would give that for the lack of respect to customer.
