Diamond gymnastics hosted our 4 year old son's birthday party and it was wonderful! I didn't know what to expect going in, but the experience exceeded all expectations. He had a blast, so did his friends, and it was fun for the parents too. Unlike some other younger kid parties I've been too, there was a little wall that separated the grown up area from the gym floor. This let the adults socialize a bit, while still being close enough to swoop in if needed. The staff helpers were professional, kind, and encouraging to the little ones and led them through cute skill-appropriate activities. The gym was open and it was easy to keep eyes on kids the whole time. There was even a big sling shot thing that that let the birthday boy do flips. I could go on, but I'll stop there. For what it's worth, we ordered pizza next door and got balloons from a party store in the same complex. read more

Meh! We were invited to a kids birthday party here and I was completely underwhelmed. The place is clean for the most part, but the decor is straight out of the 80's'! We walked in and there were two ladies at the desk. No one greeted us or bothered to point us in the right direction. They both looked at me and turned their heads which was extremely rude. When we left, same thing! No thanks for coming or anything... The party lasted 1.5 hours. The two party hosts were okay. They interacted well with the kids which was nice. It's really not much for the kids to do there. One hop, skip & jump, then the thrill is gone. They have two party rooms that come with a refrigerator in them and a few tables and chairs. There's a pizzeria next door where you go to order your pizza and bring it back to your party room and serve it yourself. This place is a "maybe" because my child learned how to get her Ariel and backhand spring on trampoline. My downside on this business is that they don't have big enough bars. My child is 5'1" and her teacher said that she couldn't go on bars because she was too tall. While the rest of her class went on the bars she was on trampoline by herself. Now next thing is my child got her back spring by herself on trampoline but then right next week she lost it. This place is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE considering the fact that there are student teachers and when we joined in covid the class was only 50 minutes only 1 day a week. The class only went on trampoline most of the session and didn't even go on vault or beam a lot. And when they did go on beam and vault the teacher told them to just do level 1 stuff considering they were level 3. Save your money!! read more

I like the "idea" of Diamond Gymnastics. It's all about teaching gymnastics. It's fun. It's not overly competitive. The equipment is also top notch. However, I'm not impressed by the manager. They are not a CLASSY place. The teachers are all 5 years old and used to take classes there so the owner can save money. I like that it's low key and they are not in the parents' faces, but they could smile and welcome people who walk in a bit more. Could definitely without a doubt be run by someone with a tad more class. read more

UNSAFE. My 8 year old daughter took a trial class tonight, and after a brief questioning by the manager as to my daughter's skills, he recommended a certain level class. He advised us that the instructor would evaluate my daughter to see which class would be best. The claas started on the beam, and the instructor Grace advised the girls, who were at least two years older than my daughter, that they were to do round offs from the beam, and it was clear that everyone in the class was supposed to "try" this. The instructor, Grace, did no evaluation of her skills, asked no questions about her abilities, and my daughter has ZERO beam experience. The group was close to where I was standing, and I told her that she should not attempt to do this. When she got to the front of the line, she told the instructor that she had never done this before, and she was told that if she couldn't do a round off from the beam she couldn't be in the class. There was no evaluation, scaffolding of skills, just pressure to try something unsafe. My daughter left the class in tears. read more

Despite the few negative reviews I've read. I must say my experience has been ok for the most part. We're only in two sessions and I have no real complaints. It's quite chaotic with the transitioning of classes and noisy with all the girls before the teachers divide them. But once they're separated into their groups with their teacher it's much better. In the beginning when they're all together doing their stretches it's one teacher giving all directions and it's usually young students which I don't like it. I like it's the same teacher each Saturday and class size is about 5-6 (not bad) it seems the students aren't the same as last Saturday, I guess this is due to ongoing enrollment but consistency would be nice so that my daughter can make friends. It's always been clean, never dirty or smelly! I love that it is open views from any part of the floor and two sitting areas and air conditioned. read more

I had my daughters 6th birthday there this past weekend. The place was very nice and clean. The kids were entertained the whole hour and the events they did were fun for the kids. I felt that the staff were very unfriendly and kinda rude to the kids. One staff member yelled at one of the kids to get off the tampoline. They only gave me 10 minutes to get my guests out of the party room before the other party was already coming in. I felt i had to rush my guests out. My daughter said the party was fun but didnt like the staff. I was very unhappy with them. They did nothing to make my daughter feel special... read more

I am so disgusted about how this place operates. My daughter wanted to stay in this class despite the fact that most of the girls acted like snobby little rude brats (during her trial class), simply because she bonded with one of the girls. Tonight two of the girls in my daughters class continuously got in front of her when it was her turn. So WHERE was the instructor? Well I guess not paying attention or simply not CARING until she saw the look on my face. I would blame it on the fact that this was the last class but I am unable to do so since it was the exact same way for the trial class weeks before. The students do WHATEVER THEY WANT! I will say the East Hanover location is structured better but I tried to use this location as it is closer to our place of residence. read more

This review is for classes. My daughter participated in the mommy and me classes when she was younger. The place is newer so that is a plus. We stopped coming because of the teacher. She was boring and was basically standing there saying 'next' the entire class. Fast forward a year and I decided to give gumnastics another try. We just had a trial class and it was worse than before. Please do not waste your money. The teachers are inexperienced. There was 0 direction during class. One spent most of her time doing her hair and looking at herself in the mirrors. There were two of them and they will be talking to each other while the kids were sitting there. This was a class for 3-4 year olds. Anyone who has kids knows that they dont have a big attention span and need to be engaged and interested in order to succeed in a class like this. There was no direction given. It was basically a time for them to run around while they just stood there. I actually heard the 'instructor' tell the kids 'ok now we play here' and let them climb on the alide and go in the foam pool. Just terrible. This was a trial class for us but I spoke to other moms there and they were all as appalled and looking at other places for their kids. I was just amazed at how bad it was. This gym is fabulous - well-run, professional coaches, nice staff, large seating area for parents. June, Rochelle and Lori at the front desk were pleasant both on the phone, over email and the minute we came in. We needed to adjust schedules based on a conflict and they made it work for us, although it wasn't convenient for their coach. I've also been to gyms where there is barely any seating for parents and they have devoted two rooms where parents can sit and watch comfortably. Overall we are thrilled to have this gym for our son and daughter. read more
